How do you keep your blood sugar levels stable during the day? I have dealt with low blood sugar. Often times I would feel anxious and then feel better after eating. I have experienced being shaky, feeling lightheaded, feeling hot, and once almost passing out at work.

Cherie, do you eat frequently? several small meals (or snacks) during the day is better than two or three larger meals.

I have in other threads here. I am tired of repeating myself. To briefly sum it, if one is eating 5,6 7 meals a day, they are grazing. For sustainable health, one needs to give the digestive system time to digest the previous meal before stuffing the stomach with another one. If a person keeps eating, lets say every 2 hours, the food is fermenting and putrefying. That leads to inflammation, oxidation, increased cell multiplication, and a host of other health issues in the long term. There are other reasons too, like energy expenditure, transit time, and more.

okay, thanks, and how do you suggest she deal with the hypoglycemia problem?

(btw, i wasn't suggesting eating that often, or so much at a sitting, but i was unclear about that.)

Every time you tell me why I am incorrect, science and biology and physiology shots you down. You may not accept the explanations, but that does not mean they are not factual.

For someone without much if any training or schooling in this area I respect some of the health choices you have made, but you miss the mark, usually by a long shot, judging by what you have told me in the past, and the scary thing with you is you have convinced yourself that you have done just about all you could.
I often think you are just afraid to step out in faith and science and/or are just comfortable in your disease.

[h=3]Look in this thread:
Most Christians are ignorant of Gods word concerning diet and lifestyle[/h]
There is a post in there in which I have 3 links to other posts I have made in the past. One of them has the diet that would help with the hypoglycemia. BTW, I have counseled more then a handful of people with diabetes, and a good number of them were able to completely discontinue their insulin. The others have lowered the amount they take.

You are one of the few people here, and really even outside of here, that have such a beautiful, loving, heart as to receive a response that is apparently true, yet in direct opposition to what you have said, and graciously accept the correction.

Thank you so much dear sister for starting my Sunday with true Christian virtues. Have a blessed day.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge on health and diet issues.
I would point out that repeating ourselves on a whole host of Biblical and other issues is what we do here.
New people are constantly joining, and some of us are old and may forget stuff previously posted.

as JD, has pointed out so many times, (sugar-high blood pressure-ETC,.................................
can be controlled by our very OWN SELVES - what most of it boils down to
is that people just want to 'enjoy-continue-not give up', what mostly brings
them 'some kind of comfort, and their health doesn't even enter into their world';
how sad and awful this is to realize, especially when you have many friends, relatives,
and neighbors who you Love, and they simply refuse to 'give-up', what we can call
comfortingstuff' that they can't or won't 'give-up'! 'addictions' that bring them some sort
of 'relief' from the immediate circumstances surrounding them, it's like that they have just
given-up!!!, Jesus' future for them be damned'...
oh the 'heartache' this brings when we love others so much and have to sit by and 'watch' them
choose to destroy themselves...yes, we Love them anyway, but the 'grief' that this brings to us
is beyond words, when they pass-away for the choices that they have made...

Hmmm...you might want to check it out. Have you ever taken a blood-sugar when you feel this way? I think you can buy a glucose meter at Walmart. My sister has a problem with this without being diabetic though, so maybe it is just something to be aware of. Candy isn't the best, since it will bring you up fast and drop you out the bottom, (leaving you where you were before and feeling crummy to boot). You want some protein as well. If a granola bar works quickly enough for you, that works well. Be aware of how you feel, and eat at regular times.
