I've been a web designer/programmer. I know about these things.

By the way, I tried without success to get the mods to change it but I heard nothing from them. Nothing.

after a lot of thought, I gave up tv and movies a few weeks ago.
It was hard, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it, or if I said I'm not curious about what's happening on shows I enjoyed.

to me it just doesn't feel right to continue supporting a toxic, immoral industry.

I do not watch programs with explicit sex scenes in them. It's the sin of lust to view for pleasure the naked body of someone not your spouse. Now, go ahead.....call me 'holier than thou'.

Every person who plays the 'hypocrite', 'holier than thou', and 'you're judging' cards immediately go on my 'not a brother or sister until proven otherwise' list. Why? Because those are the exact arguments unbelievers use when I talk to them about spiritual matters. On the other hand, true brothers and sisters, devout and serious for the Lord, do not use those arguments in spiritual discussions.
Your error is in assuming that people watch certain shows for certain reasons. That is you projecting your own issues onto other people. However, you refuse to acknowledge this. Instead you do more projecting. This was a thread started to talk about what people watch, and you came along and smeared your judgments all over it, and now say these people are not believers according to you. It seems to me you have brought things to the table that were not on it before you arrived, yet you blame others for your actions of judging and condemning with more rationalizations of why you judge and condemn.

Both my displayed age and my user name. I think the guy who had me come over to this thread was trying to hook me up with some gals and he was disappointed with my choice of user name, lol.

Your member name --which you knowingly chose-- is connected to a unique url which you should know since you claim some expertise in this area. It cannot be changed. If you really wanted to set things right, you would be willing to have your current account deleted (become an inactive guest), and then create a new account. So the promise of women brought you to this site?

As a married man, this is questionable company for you to keep.

This was a thread started to talk about what people watch, and you came along and smeared your judgments all over it, and now say these people are not believers according to you.

I do not CONSIDER them believers until they can prove otherwise. I have that right of discernment.

I do not consider anybody who says they are a believer in Christ that watches for entertainment naked people having sex, and defends it, a saved person. When they repent and denounce it, that's when I receive them as a brother/ sister. I have this right of discernment. In fact, the true church has this responsibility of discernment.

It seems to me you have brought things to the table that were not on it before you arrived...

The church does not have much representation and defense of holiness and righteousness in the church these days. I would not have been surprised at all if this thread went on for months without a single person raising a defense for holiness if I had not.

You keep sounding more and more like an unbeliever. I'm quite familiar with how they twist things and attack.

I had the feeling that the person who invited me to this forum (which it turns out is not inhabited by many devout Christians I'm finding out) wanted me to meet some girls because he thought I had gotten a divorce. Which I did not. And I have not made a single hit on a female in this forum. I'm not here for that. My screen name should be proof of that alone.

Lucky for us God knows the heart, and it is not hung on your faulty perceptions.

I discern you to be a false teacher. I have this right of discernment. It is a gift.

People watch porn if all they want to see is naked people having sex. This thread was not about porn until you classified anything that happens to have any sex scenes as part of a dramatization of life as being watched solely for prurient interests. I discern this as you projecting your issues of lasciviousness onto others.

Like how you have twisted and attacked most everyone here, yes, I do see that. You said yourself you came on the invite of a person who wanted to hook you up. That is not twisting anything. I discern that you are just being dishonest to falsely accuse me.

Did it ever occur to you that you are, at the very least, being a stumbling block to young unmarried teens, and twenty-somethings, and other single people who do not have an outlet for their sexual desires?

Read this before you launch another defense of watching nude people engage in explicit sex acts:

"whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

7“Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes!8“If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be cast into the eternal fire. 9If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it from you. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, than to have two eyes and be cast into the fiery hell." (Matthew 18:6-9 NASB)

I know it's going to go right over your head because you are OSAS, but the passage is saying that the person who causes a BELIEVER in Jesus to stumble so as to go to hell has committed a very, very serious offense. Do you care that what you approve of may be causing young single believers with no sexual outlet to think it's okay to view pornographic material on their TV/computer?

Jesus said it is better that you be cast off instead of leading believers in Christ to fall so as to go to hell. But I know this probably doesn't compute with you since you are OSAS. Read the passage.

You're not going to win this one. Viewing pornographic content, and parading it as being 'okay' is sinning against God and other believers. Plain and simple. I can't believe that we even have to convince people in the church of this at this time in church history. We are in a very, very bad place.

More of your false accusations. You are quite the liar. How do you rationalize that? And I have seen others attest how you have been a stumbling block to them in another thread. You really should take your own advice.

Keep twisting. You do not know anything about it beyond what I've said. Nothing. We did not even talk about it. I just assumed he had that side intention. We did not talk about it. He did not try to hook me up. I made no attempt to hook up. You are sounding more and more like the unbelievers I have talked to. You're using the exact same attacks and excuses. Stop now and give me some reason to think you are a sister in Christ.

All you have to do is prove, using the scriptures, that it's okay to watch naked people having sex. It's so preposterous that I can't believe we even have to have a debate about it. But I know that is where the church is at in this present time near the end of time.

You came here at the request of someone wanting to hook you up. Your words! Stop blaming me for what you said, you are a liar and a false accuser. According to Jesus, that makes you a child of the devil.

No I did not come here in response to someone saying 'come over here so you can get hooked up'.

UNBELIEVER ALERT! UNBELIEVER ALERT!

The error you make, and refuse to acknowledge, is in saying people watch those shows for that reason, and as a result of that content, fall into sin. But you will likely continue on in your lies, false accusations, rationalizations, and projections. That is on you. May God have mercy on your soul.

I am not even sure if my previous list has any episodes with nude sex scenes. But just in case, I will make it short and say Muppet Show.
