I wonder how many things you have eaten, or sandwiches from the shop, that were made with the hands of a gay person, who is maybe actively gay? Are you going to say that gay people can't work in food shops in case their hands are feeding Christians?

How does it make you feel thinking about that delicious sandwich, made from some unknown person in the back who happened to be gay and engaging in sexual relationships?

I think there is far more evil in the suppression of homosexual people, rather than letting them be out in the open. No wonder there are teachers sued, or even parents referred to child protection, when they do not allow their child to be who they have chosen to be, usually based on religious bias.

And you say it's not about love it's about sex. Right ok. So basically, 2 gay people are not even allowed to kiss. Or do you define that as sexual? Is it sexual when heterosexuals kiss? Do you turn off the TV when you see anyone kissing? I see that homosexual relationships are seeping into mainstream media, and I think that's a good thing. It chips away at peoples cringe factor of non-acceptance.

Regarding the whole cake thing, so what if they are making a cake for a couple who are heterosexual, but he is a gigolo and she is a prostitute (they just happen to call themselves Christian, like many do and act unlike)? I assume there is a form they have to fill out?

Homosexuals have always been the scapegoat for heterosexual sin. Never when people talk about their concern with homosexual lifestyles, do they ever talk about heterosexual lifestyle and perversion. Even within Christianity it exists to a great degree.

Doing the gay baker cake analogy once more, if someone asked a Muslim bakery to make a cake with Christ on the cross for a Christmas party, should he be forced to do it, for the sake of inclusiveness?

Would you be willing to force them to make Christian cakes, despite the fact that Christianity is blasphemous according to their beliefs?

A person should absolutely have the right to not engage in things that they believe are wrong. Nothing is stopping YOU from living your lifestyle, nothing is stopping YOU from getting married to whoever you want. And if you want to call the person who said no to creating an item to celebrate an even he believes is wrong a homophobe, a bigot, or whatever else youre trained to call people, go for it. But you are still free to live your life as you wish.

But forcing them to either engage in the event, or face the consequences. Well, Im not even sure I could help you see how thats wrong, because you already believe that anyone living this lifestyle has more importance over the consciousness of others.

Hate to be the first to ever tell you this, but living the homosexual lifestyle =/= someones race.
A black person is a black person, will always be a black person, and will always have black skin until they die. Theyve made no lifestyle choices, they just have black skin whether they like it or not.

A person can absolutely have an attraction towards someone of the same sex, and ignore it. Theres alot of people out there, whether you believe it or not. The choice to engage in the lifestyle is a choice, homosexua, relations take the choice to engage in them. No one is forced to these relations outside their will.

It is 100% lifestyle choice. You cant always control thoughts and urges, but the fact that you have them =/= you MUST act out on them.

Its not about love, we wouldnt call it homosexuality if it were merely about love.
Why are they gay? What makes them gay? What are they doing with each other that makes them different?
Its about what they are doing with their bodies. Sex =/= love. People in love can have sex. People not in love can have sex. People can have sex with non- people. Its not about love.

Wow, youd actually support forcing someone to make a cake thats a blantant insult to their God.
Why even engage with you?

The god of this world is aiming to keep the lost, lost, and they sin because their eyes have not been opened to their sinful nature. But when you plant the seed, and they may reject it, but you still planted the seed, and if they be willing, God will nourish and flourish that take hold of them, and convict them. Our job is not to condemn or to judge those who sin against God's word, our job is to be an example in front of them, to share Christ Jesus with them, that's planting the seed. Homosexuality is wrong according to God's word, Leviticus 20:13, that tells us that if a man lies with another man, in God's eyes that is an abomination....I didn't write that....that's God's word! It may be Old Testament under the old law, but it's STILL God's laws, and God said in Malachi 3:6 "I am the Lord; I change not." It's still wrong to this day and it will forever be wrong for man to lie with man and woman to lie with another woman.

What rights are they taking away from you?
In the case of the cake bakers, the right to decide what artwork they will create for their customers. Understand that they did not refuse to SERVE homosexuals, but they wanted to retain the right to decide what was appropriate for them to create as ARTISTS, without being DICTATED to and penalized for desiring to have a choice in the matter. Also, the right to free speech. You don't think free speech is being impinged upon? Open your eyes, Dude. Here in Canada, we do not have the same constitutional rights as you do, but our bill m103 is trying to make sure I cannot tell the truth about Islam. The same has been coming down the pike in regards to homosexuality for some time. They call it hate speech for a Christian to call homosexuality a sin.

Interestingly in my study of the OT so far, I found possible reference to two gay men (that God didn't appear to judge). I might be wrong, but initially I thought these 2 men sounded gay because it explicitly said that they "loved each other", and I thought maybe you know, like friends since this is the Bible? But then at a later point it said "Both he (David) and Jonathan were crying as they kissed each other". It would be interesting to see what other people's opinion on this is in 1 Samuel. Or maybe people turn a blind eye to it, and go with the contrary views. Maybe they were crying, kissing each others cheek? Hmm, sounds like not really! I got the impression, that just like lovers, they put each other first before anything else and those who wished them harm.

Free speech refers to what is on the cake. Whether a person sees that as harmful is simply their own opinion to be offended. However if it was a message like 'death to all Christians' that would be hate speech.

I don't think you understand. The business owners should have the right as artists (which is what they are) to decide whether they will create the artwork the customer wants. The homosexual couple wanted the cake maker to violate his own values. The cake maker was not refusing to serve them; he offered to sell them anything in his store, but they still sued him because he refused to make the cake THEY wanted... he did not want to violate his own values by showing support for something he believes is sin.

Are there any other examples you have whereby 'artists' can refuse to do what a client wants? Isn't it part of serving clients, rather than being selective, or discriminatory? They refused in this case, because they wanted 'to make a point', and so they were made an example of how homophobia will not be tolerated.

Nope, they most certainly were not, Jonathan was showing the kind of love and reverence one would for a king who fights for his soldiers...it was nothing more than that. They were not lovers, but they had love for each other. Brotherly love. And think about it, God already outlined that lying with another man was an abomination, and David, a man after God's own heart, knew that. It was nothing more than reverence.

Yes you are right, I see so many bromances where they are crying and kissing each other. In fact men tend to cry a lot anyway don't they, especially warlords/warriors?? -_-

Exactly, not to mention that when he took Bathsheba and killed her husband he said "my sin is ever before me" and God punished him for that sin. So if he was also homosexual he would have equally been punished for that sin. They were not lovers.Far left liberal talking points again.

Alright then....put yourself in that cake makers shoes, you serve the Lord with all your heart, in everything you do, including your business....Now comes in a gay couple that KNOWS your a Christian business, and yet they want YOU to make a cake for them that is in God's eyes, detestable, an abomination. Now....if you bow to their wishes, are you not a coward for not standing on the word of God? I admire this person for taking that stand on the word of God, and the Liberals and the LGBT community cannot handle it because their eyes are blinded to it. Paul said having done all to what? STAND!

I used to be very much against gay marriage but I grew tired of all the 'controversy'.... So if they want to get married and live in misery just like straight married people do, then so be it! :p

I was surprised at this news. I thought of Australia as being the last bastion against PC in all its forms.
I can tell you that the people I know there personally are disgusted and not happy at all......

We often forget that homosexuality in all of it's flavors, is a direct result of GOD giving people over to a reprobate mind void of judgment...it is the proverbial straw that breaks the camel's back and the end result to having been given over to a place of judgment.....see Romans 1.......
