Do people burn in hell forever?

Not to correct that is for sure. That is how we look at it on earth. Not so in the Scriptures. I am happy to be proven wrong on this however.
If I could decide everyone would be saved.They condemn themselves to this eternal punishment, not God. God is only benevolent, caring and kind, it is satan who is twisted and evil. God has left people to their carnal desires in this world, and they will reap what they sow with their second death.
Satisfaction of Gods justice. Gods wrath is upon sin. If man will not forsake his sin then he is bound to it for all eternity.
Hell was not created for man but for the devil and his angels.

And, I believe we are told in the Bible that God's justice is making wrong things, right?
If people wish to follow satan in this life, then they shall reap what they sow where they are tortured and damned for eternity to hell.
You are correct that God does NOT want any person to go to hell
When a mother warns a child not to touch a hot stove or he/she will be burned; she does not desire the burn.
Like the hot stove, the consequence of sin is eternity in Hell. The consequence is NOT desired by God; it is inherent in the act.
God so desires to protect people from that consequence that He sent Jesus to take the consequence upon Himself.
God does not send anyone to Hell! People send themselves to Hell by rejecting what Jesus has done on their behalf.
Too many to list. Each time God punished a People Group or a Prophet declared something, it was for one purpose... to provoke the people to righteousness. His wrath was shown to correct and to turn people. Sometimes the wrath was on Gentiles..... then it would be on Israel... then the Gentiles again... then back on Israel. (Where it seems to be today.)
I cannot remember even one. The babylonian captivity for example, how was that corrective? Let alone destruction of Jerusalem in 70A.D. where most did not even survive.
Noah's flood, no correction.
As I have stated before: God is God. He does what He wants to do. Living in Europe I hear God always made out to be a monster for taking out the animals with the humans during the flood, but that is how He operates. God does not care about animals too much. Fact. Clear from both old and new testaments (I am referring to Jesus sending the devils to the pigs and the pigs drowned)
So hell certainly does match the character of God throughout the O.T and N.T. I doubt anyone would even contest O.T who has read it. But even in the N.T we got verses like Revelation 2:22-23, not much correction.

I have long seen that men seek, and usually find, the god they worship and hold in their hearts. You and I seem to worship different ones.
Souls in eternal condemnation will experience a complete absence of Gods presence. Terror even worse than the torment of the flames. Utter despair and complete loss of hope.
The fury of Gods wrath burns hot and yet does not consume just like His righteousness burned the bush before Moses and it was not consumed.

Well I asked for verses or examples, you provided none. Then you make statements about worshiping a different god. Hmm.
Atleast the God I have can be seen and found on the pages of Scriptures. You have made up a god of your own? Perhaps after this post it is safe to say you indeed are the Romans 9:20 man.

For example the destruction of Niniveh in the book of Jonah.
Could it be that even though God tells us about this punishment (hell), He will change His mind?

You said you believe in a god of violence, vindictiveness and retribution, didn't you? That's what it sounded like to me.
