sometimes base12 was very wrong both in his physics and in his hermeneutics.
he similarly didn't care so much when it was pointed out -- he just kept spamming more memes.
he also didn't have much formalism or structure to how he approached things - not as much as i would like, anyway, and he made very haphazard associations without justifying them.
like, a lot of times it was obvious he would just take some fact, any fact at all, and cram the number 7 or Noah's ark into it 'because he really wanted it to be there' not because it actually was. like he wasn't seeign the number 12 everywhere because it was really there, but because he had tattooed the number 12 on his eyeball.

humans tend to see human-like faces in everything. ink blots. static. tree bark. a big part of our brains are well trained to look for faces. are there really faces in every random rust stain and cloud or are we forcing that template on everything? do slugs tend to see slug faces everywhere?

interesting stuff, and give him another 20 years and he might have some refined conclusions, i thought. but i was always pushing him to be rigorous too, because he wasn't, either. i was really critical with him because i wanted him to be really critical - imo it's very necessary.
Yea I agree, though he but a lot of time in making all those graphs and all, I just couldn't say to him dude your way out in left field, strangely enough IMO that is how God works with anybody when folks don't understand something, God will never force anything upon anyone to believe, it is of choice for sure.

Let me simplify this....where else can we find the 153 in the Bible besides John 21?
Page 153.....and still does not prove your premise that this thread is built upon.......shakes head at the foolishness of trying to prove a translation/transliteration/practically copied verbatim from earlier English versions bible is the one and only inspired version....you do know that history alone proves this thread is not correct in it's premise right?

i think that's a better question.

counting mentions of Paul or Peter don't seem to be faithful to the text. you have to delete some, and force it to fit. and '
personally blessed by Christ' people? seriously, the answer is "all people" - i suspect you have to selectively fiddle with the way you interpret "personally blessed" in order to arrive at 153.

Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place.
Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them all

(Matthew 12:15)

mathematicians have another joke:
ask a statistician what the numbers say?
he answers: "what do you want them to say?"

oh yeah! what's the 37[SUP]th[/SUP] word on page 153 of the 'Not By Works' thread??

;)
You're bearing false witness is the general answer regarding that thread.

Hahaha

James37 have you look into the number 888, if not it is quite interesting as well, :)
i sure have; Jesus in Greek gematria = 888 = 37 x 24; a witness out of the Greek manuscripts.

Ahh who knows the answer to this math equation,

9 - 3 ÷ 1/3 + 1 = ?
I got 1. I had to write the problem down on a piece of paper :p It's been a while, okay?

"Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally" has never failed me. (Though her name could have been Sarah, or Samantha, or any other name that starts with a S, technically...)

Got your panties in a wad? Good grief, you can cast aspersions at me, but get righteously indignant when I respond?

Sorry I ruffled your feathers..... I'll try to be more touchy-feely with you from now on.

That is what you get, you call me as having a numbers fetish,

why on earth did you ever say that, you don't know me to say such a thing, I posted a couple of things on numbers and all of a sudden I got a numbers fetish, please save your analogy and apology , I already know it's old time rubbish.

In the town were I live people say, panties in a crunch, lol

Look at the 153rd book of the the Old Testament and the 153rd book of the New Testament. When we first began the discussion I pointed out that the word "find" in John 21 was found 47 times in the NT (the right side of the book where we cast our net so to speak). I talked about events in Genesis 2 and 3 that led us to 1 Corinthians 4:11 and 2 Corinthians 5:3. Notice that 2 Corinthians 5:1 begins with the phrase "Let us therefore" meaning we need to examine what was said in chapter 4. 2 Corinthians 4 is the 153rd book of the New Testament and is where I believe the key to answering the question of the number 153. Study it and maybe there is "treasure" to be found.

It proves there is a pattern present when there should be randomness.
It only 'should be randomness' if you assume that they are all meaningless character sets randomly arranged in a meaningless sequence. But this book isn't the result if a thousand monkeys in front of typewriters for a thousand years or an explosion in a print shop.

Telling ya, you're doing your probability calculation wrong, you're not using the right distribution.

The splendid wonder of His word...that's enough for me. I stand alone on the word of God, the BIBLE!

No, you don't stand alone on the word of God, the BIBLE!

Let me tell you why you think you're being Sola Scriptura, or, that your standing on Scripture alone, when you in fact are not.

The things you are doing in this thread are not "based upon Scripture."

Chapter numbers, verse numbers, even the names of the books (since you absurdly used the book of "Numbers" as proof that you can chase Bible numerology) pay attention; these are not Scripture.

These were added, they are not a part of God's Word whatsoever. You are then basing your mysticism, "faith", superstition, yes, even your hope on things man added to the Word of God to enable ease of finding portions of text.

These are not inspired divisions of chapters and verses. They are not part of God's Word, nor are they from God.

You are on an unsustainable path, have left sound doctrine (if you've ever been sound in the past) and are in fact following myths and fables, not God's Word.

All I hope for is that God delivers you from this snare you are in, you are thoroughly hoodwinked and deceived.
