When the bible speaks of the remnant in Revelation it is in regards to those who are left after Satan's attacks prior to the end:
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Here we see Satan the Dragon is angry with the remnant of the woman's seed.
The Dragon is Satan as is stated earlier:
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
The woman in Bible prophecy is widely accepted as a symbol of the church:
Jer_6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.
or:
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
So Satan is angry with the remnant or left over of the church. How is this church described?

It is the spirit of prophecy.
Here is another way of putting it:
Rev 22:8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
Rev 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
Revelation reveals that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy which is of the prophets. Now of course this means they here the prophets as it is written:
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Notice law or prophets and Satan is angry with those who keep the Commandments and the testimony of the prophets.
Coincidence? I think not.
Jesus did not come to do away with those things but to complete them. The law and the prophets spoke of many things, Including the second coming and judgement of the wicked and the end of the world and the new heavens and the new earth and many such things.
In regards to the Sabbath the prophets had much to say including that it should be kept after Jesus the salvation of God is revealed and the Gentiles come in as it is written:
Isa 56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
Isa 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
Isa 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
Isa 56:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
Isa 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
Isa 56:8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
So we see that when we listen to the prophets as the remnant will we see that God will bring the Gentiles to the Sabbath after Jesus is revealed. this is something Jesus is completing even now as he did not come to destroy but to complete.
Of the remnant who Satan hate it is said during the time of the mark of the beast:
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
They keep Gods commandments and have the same trust in God that Jesus had.

Nicely put together. There is only one test that God's word gives to KNOW if someone is following God or NOT..................
Isaiah 8
20, To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Because God's remnant are described as those who through Faith KEEP ALL the commandments of God through the FAITH they have in Jesus (Rev 12:17; 14:12; 22:14)
Breaking God's Law is not a fruit of Faith and those living in SIN (knowingly breaking God's Law; James 2:11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4) will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
God has many of His followers in all the Churches living up to all the knowledge that God has given them. Many do not know about God's 4th commandment and have been taught by the teachings and traditions of man to disregard it despite there being NO SCRIPTURE in ALL of God's Word that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a HOLY day.
Jesus says he has followers in many places....
John 10
16, And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
God is calling his people wherever they may be to follow him according to His Word in truth....
John 4
23, But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.
24, God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Many people do not know that they are not following God according to His 7th Day Sabbath commandment and as such God is patient with them until he reveals the truth of His Word to them.....

17, THEREFORE TO HIM THE KNOWS TO DO GOOD AND DOES IT NOT TO HIM IT IS SIN.
We are God's people if we are living up to all the light (truth) God has revealed to us and if God has given each of us a KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH we are accountable to God not only for the truth God has revealed to us but also what it is we do with the truth God has given to us.
When a KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH is shared with someone however and they do not BELIEVE it or ACCEPT it they are NO Longer a BELIEVER because they hare not BELIEVED the Word of God therefore are still in their SINS because they have NOT accepted the GIFT of God's dear son and these scriptures are now a WARNING........
Hebrews 10:26-27
26, For IF WE SIN WILLFULLY AFTER THAT WE RECEIVE A KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH, THERE REMAINS NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SINS,
27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Many do not know that the Roman Catholic Church has changed God's 4th commandment from the 7th day of the week to Sunday the 1st day of the Week and passed this teaching down to her daughters.
Those that God has revealed his truth have a duty of LOVE to our neighbor to help them come out of darkness to worship our God in Spirit and in truth. For God is a Spirit and those that worship him must worship him in Spirit and in truth.
The important thing however is that you always pray and ask Jesus what His truth is so you can know God's Word for yourself. If you SEEK Jesus for His truth asking Him in prayer then he will lead you and guide you and promises to teach you so you can know the truth and the truth can set you free...
This is God's promise to all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW His Word and why Jesus says; If you LOVE me Keep my commandments because it is by FAITH that you will find HIM who LOVES all.
Revelations 22
14, Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15, For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whore mongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.
God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and like any of the ten, if we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)
There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.
Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
But which commandments? It is MAN who has misrepresented the stipulations of the old covenant as being the Ten Commandments NOT Jesus Christ or the Father.

I follow no man and no women and no website. This should be very clear reading all of my posts on this forum. I stand ONLY on God's Word alone. If you do not have God's Word then you cannot argue with the scriptures. If you choose to build an argument that no one is arguing about or it is not true then it is a lie. Where have I ever posted to anyone that they should follow the teachings and traditions of men over the Word of God?
I point all ONLY to the WORD of GOD and it is only on the Word of God I stand but you and others do not believe the scriptures.
Do you have anything from God's Word to share?

Sabbath observance is recommended all through the NEW Testament the same as all the other commandments....

There is a lot of scriptures here and we have not even looked at all the scriptures in the NT on the 10 commandments on which the 4th commandment is one of the ten.

That is a lie. The Sabbath law is never included in the lists of laws, eg Matt 19.16-19,
Israelite laws for Jews.
And is never mentioned. The ten words were part of physical Israel's covenant,
The 4th Command is not mentioned in either Hebrews or James. You assume!!!!. And it is so even though they were written to Jews.
Romans 14 says we may keep ANY day to the Lord. The early church chose the first day of the week. Acts 20.7
So follow romans 14 and Acts 20.7
Follow the new covenant not the old. THAT is the word of God.

Are you aware that Paul proved his doctrine by the Old Testament?
Jesus, the disciples all used the Old Testament to back up their teachings. For proof of this I refer you to the entire New Testament.
Paul argued that what he taught was very much in line with the law and the prophets.
SO being as you are such a big fan of the New Testament as we all are. Do indeed prove your point from the Old Testament Just like everyone else in the New Testament did.
But alas you wont be able to as the Old Testament predicts the exact opposite of what you are trying to teach. It predicts that the Sabbath will be also for Gentiles after the salvation of God in Christ is revealed.
There is not a single New Testament verse or group of verses that will go against this as the two witnesses are in agreement. And we should expect that being that both were inspired by the same Spirit.

The verse you picked out of context is dealing with those who , like King Saul, recourse to mediums and witchcraft.
It does not address law keeping! Verses 13-14 refer us to Jesus who at the time of Isaiah's writing was about 600 years future regarding His earthly ministry. Verse 16 says to seal the Law and look to the coming Savior for a true fellowship with God.
It is the Word of God and stands just as it reads! That is if those speak against the LAW and the Testimony (the Word) it is because there is no truth in them just like turning to witches, mediums and word of website that speaks against the Word of God.......

King Saul was indeed seeking counsel from witches and mediums which is NOT the Word of God and as the scripture says; to the LAW and the testimony if anyone is NOT speaking according to this WORD there is NO LIGHT (truth) in them.
It is the Word of God and we should BELIEVE it.

Scripture out of context is a pretext, usually for intentional deception. Satan used what she claimed God said to deceive Eve; and attempted to use Scripture to deceive Jesus.
Every scripture in God's Word has a scripture the proceeds it exception being Genesis 1:1. Sometimes CONTEXT can make a difference to an interpretation of the scriptures and should be always considered and sometimes the scripture is a STAND ALONE STATEMENT and needs no consideration to CONTEXT because the CONTEXT does NOT CHANGE the interpretation of the scripture.
For example God says in the scriptures .....
Exodus 20:16
Thou shalt not bear false witness (lie)
Does the CONTEXT change the meaning or the interpretation of this scripture?
Let's look at the CONTEXT.................
Exodus 20
1, And God spoke all these words, saying,
2, I am the LORD your God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3, You shall have no other gods before me.
4, You shall not make to you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

The scripture says what if means and stands alone. There are times that CONTEXT applies and other times when a scripture is a STAND ALONE STATEMENT supported by other scripture in other locations of God's Word as stand alone statements regardless of CONTEXT.

Indeed you are right about the immediate context, But there is a greater context to be found in the passages of scripture as it is written:
Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
The Old Testament is primarily about Jesus and thus while we acknowledge the immediate context we must also see Christ in this also. I am sure you know the general rule is that the context about Christ should not destroy the prime context. In other words, we can't take from the verse something that would destroy the original context.
Jesus came to complete the prophets as it is written:
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Jesus fulfils both the law and the prophets. So we must see the messiah in these passages as the main goal.
Matthew and the New Testament writers got this when they said things like:
Mat_2:15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
This is of course taken from here:
Hos 11:1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
But one would quickly see that the immediate context is actually about Israel coming out of Egypt at the beginning.

Who are Israel?
"Israel" is only a name given by God himself to represent his people. The origin of the name "Israel" come from Genesis 32:28 where Jacob wrestled with the Angel and prevailed ...for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. Its meaning is his posterity will rule as God. Jacob had 12 sons representing the 12 tribes of Israel.
Israel is only a name given by God that represents God's people and today anyone who is following Jesus is part of God's Israel according to God's Word.

The New Covenant is for God's Israel which represent God’s followers the believers. If you are not part of God's Israel you are not part of the New Covenant ( Hebrews 8:10-12 ).
God's Israel are those that believe the Word of God and follow it and is why Jesus says If you love me keep my commandments ( John 14:15 )

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten ( Exodus 20:8-11 ) and like any of the ten, if we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness w e are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)
There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.
Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
