maybe my parents do, but they have been so long iin the attic they are likely to be ruined, and we dont have a record player
 
I doubt I'll find any, if you wait till I get my own place I'll buy one of my own
 
they sell modern ones (yeah, not the same... but still) one can plug the into PCs with USB

Why don’t you go out and buy a turntable. Also, I’d like some large speakers. Maybe you can find something to amplify the sound. I will then provide you with a list of records that I need. But only if it’s not an inconvenience.

A turntable is the upper part of the record player, the part that turns, with the needle and the arm that the needle is attached to. It would be one component of a system that includes an amplifier and speakers.
 
If not in SA, then in one of the antique shops in the surrounding cities.
 
I'm up for that, now we just gotta figure out how to get enough fuel for Aksels plane
