Since we're in an eating mood, how about unusual food you've eaten. (And good luck on the "you've eaten" part.)
Angel wings (or Chrusciki if you're Polish.) Also not dietetic.

Banana slug. Almost ate one, when eating a banana. Still impressed such a big caterpillar-like critter made the whole trip from South American plantation to my mouth here in Philly. (Impressed. Wouldn't want it to happen again.)

i first had cous-cous in 1977, in Paris. it was savory and so good i looked for it here in the States when i got home.
musta been looking in the wrong place, as it was years before i found it.

duff (which is plum pudding again, but this time i didn't like it. lol)

Flavorless onion soup. If you’ve ever tried it you know what i mean.
 
Gyros -- sorry, but shoving a lot of yogurt plus a little bit of meat into a hard-to-bite-thru wrap just doesn't work for me. (If it was mayo instead of yogurt, maybe, but I'd be sick later on either way. lol)
 
Icelandic smoked leg of lamb. (I had it on my stop-over last summer. Very good)
 
Kuchen! German apflekuchen, to be precise.

it's apple cake, but so much better than cake.
 
Livers, chicken livers to be precise. My grandmother and I were the only ones in my family to like them.

There ain't a thing in the world wrong with chicken livers. Pan fried please, not deep fried. I can do some damage to a plate of good pan fried chicken livers.
