good post same here....
but Jesus fulfills it all Matthew 5:17
good post same here....
agree as well which is why Im here now....but actually the word of God is not the bible its jesus "revelation
The bible is the book of God's revelation to mankind or you could say His interpretation as a witness who was there. It is described as written by the finger of God .
It is not a private interpretation of men that would be our personal commentary on what we believe we hear as we seek His approval .It is not a book of philosophical of or theories of men as oral traditions but a book of law (no theories of men).
His perfect law as a living word is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. It therefore can as the water of the word cleanse us from our secret faults
That perfect law inform us of how we can hear Him not seen as a faith principle..(one of my favorite portions)
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.Psalms 19:7
if Jesus says one thing and some other part of the bible says the opposite which one is true?
God is true, we are therefore to let all men be liars .
What is true is more homework and studying is needed. The word of God does not appose the Word of God . What we do find in one place it must be compared to any other that mentions a certain principle.
And there's your problem. You keep guessing about everyone else and every thing else, yet you cannot guess even that.the same thing over and over again "we Christians are not perfect" trust me I know that but your god is not telling you to just go around doing whatever you want to because your not perfect but he does say over and over again to be perfect as your father is in heaven I'm not even going to quote him because apparently you either aren't reading them or you just don't care what the king of kings and Lord of lords is saying......example you are never going to finish paying your bills and taxes for the rest of your life but it sure ain't stopping you from going to work everyday and paying your bills and taxes....so why not work to be perfect everyday for the rest of your life
Of course I am NOT going to trust you. You've given me no reason to trust you yet. Pretty bad since that's Post 50 and you've been yammer quite a bit on your own thread.trust me I'm trying to give you scriptures over and over again so how am I not talking about God? the reason why I show you what people say in a church you know" a building where money is to be made and a show goes on stage for about two hours....is to help people realize just because you have been taught by someone something for a long time it doesnt make it true but if the truth(jesus) teaches you something then guess what it's true ..well of course if you believe in God right?
if Jesus says one thing and some other part of the bible says the opposite which one is true?
God did a lot more before he died, so let us assume there is more to the gospel. Since the Book is all about him, it is all good news. The Gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16).
for instance should we glorify/justify the military?
I'm sorry I'm not quite sure where you are going with this
agree as well which is why Im here now....but actually the word of God is not the bible its jesus "revelation
Which part of the Bible isn't his revelation?agree as well which is why Im here now....but actually the word of God is not the bible its jesus "revelation
If that's true, than why do you keep trying to teach us?and what I mean by that is we should listen to the word of God (jesus) not nothing less
And there's your problem. You keep guessing about everyone else and every thing else, yet you cannot guess even that.
Example: You're telling me I should work at being perfect every day just like I go to work and pay bills and taxes? Really? Not working for me. I don't go to work any day, and don't pay taxes. And yet you also assume I'm not trying to work at perfect too.
Kind of cocky, aren't you? Presuming to think you're the only one doing anything for God, while all along assuming I've got another God. There are no other gods. So either I'm following the one and only, or I'm not. But one thing for sure, you aren't, because you're too busy telling everyone else what they should be doing.
Where, in all of scripture, does it tell us our job is to tell everyone else -- whether we know them or not -- what to do?
You're original question is "Are we actually Christians?" I am. Still wondering about you. Not wondering that hard. The Lord has bigger things for me in mind. And not one of them is to rag on everyone else when I still need to rag on me.
If the sky is cloudless, when should we open our umbrellas?if Jesus says one thing and some other part of the bible says the opposite which one is true?
If that's true, than why do you keep trying to teach us?
