The bible is the book of God's revelation to mankind or you could say His interpretation as a witness who was there. It is described as written by the finger of God .
It is not a private interpretation of men..... that would be our personal commentary on what we believe we hear as we seek His approval according to his commandment to rightly divide His revelation..
It is not a book of philosophical of or theories of men as oral traditions but a book of law (no theories of men).
His perfect law as a living word is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. It therefore can as the water of the word cleanse us from our secret faults
That perfect law inform us of how we can hear Him not seen as a faith principle..(one of my favorite portions)
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

God is true, we are therefore to let all men be liars .
What is true is more homework and studying is needed. The word of God does not appose the Word of God . What we do find in one place it must be compared to any other that mentions a certain principle.

And there's your problem. You keep guessing about everyone else and every thing else, yet you cannot guess even that.
Example: You're telling me I should work at being perfect every day just like I go to work and pay bills and taxes? Really? Not working for me. I don't go to work any day, and don't pay taxes. And yet you also assume I'm not trying to work at perfect too.
Kind of cocky, aren't you? Presuming to think you're the only one doing anything for God, while all along assuming I've got another God. There are no other gods. So either I'm following the one and only, or I'm not. But one thing for sure, you aren't, because you're too busy telling everyone else what they should be doing.
Where, in all of scripture, does it tell us our job is to tell everyone else -- whether we know them or not -- what to do?
You're original question is "Are we actually Christians?" I am. Still wondering about you. Not wondering that hard. The Lord has bigger things for me in mind. And not one of them is to rag on everyone else when I still need to rag on me.

Of course I am NOT going to trust you. You've given me no reason to trust you yet. Pretty bad since that's Post 50 and you've been yammer quite a bit on your own thread.
Here's a little common sense when it comes to writing -- any writing. Know your audience. All along the one thing consistent in your writing is you have absolutely no idea who you're talking to, so can't give anything of value to anyone.
You want trust? Earn it!
They are both true... The problem is not with the Bible.. The problem is humans lack of wisdom in all things.. What we assume is a contradiction is often based on our thinking.. As human beings we are faulty and as such we have imperfect thinking which leads us to less then perfect understanding of scriptures..
We are reliant 100% on the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit to have understanding..

God did a lot more before he died, so let us assume there is more to the gospel. Since the Book is all about him, it is all good news.
No.. But we should submit to the Authorities that God has allowed to rule over us up to the point where doing so would cause us to go against the Word of God...

I was offering there is no separation between the living word of God, as the law of God and the revelation of God. It seemed you were trying to divide it for some reason ?
Its is called the book of the law. You can accredit it to Jesus or God .It is all one and the same Spirit of faith by which we can believe and therefore share as a mutual faith coming from His living, abiding word..

so it's obvious you couldn't handle the truth.....look I never said I am doing what God has commanded us to do not once did I? in fact my question was are we actually Christians? not are ya actually Christians? if I didn't care and didn't had love for the world I wouldn't be here I don't like the fact that my God says if I can't put him in front of my family and my own life I'm not a Christian/disciple, that I can't serve money and God at the same time....I don't like a lot of his teachings because they are tough and hard to obey but you know what I'm not god so I'm not going to act like I didn't hear him or make my own teachings

Same kind of question. Jesus doesn't ever say the opposite of anything else said in the Bible, since he's God, got it down perfectly, and inspired it.
If you really think Jesus said something opposite than the rest of the book, then all the more reason not to trust you.
