Jesus seemed to have a special place in his heart for tax collectors. While they were not numerous, they were always showing up at banquets with Him.
Paul was called to the Gentiles, but always had a special place in his heart for the Jews. (Also tentmakers.)
I have a special compassion for Arabs, the Roma (gypsies), the deaf, prisoners, addicts and homosexuals.
For whom did God put a special compassion in your heart?

Youth and default Christians (those who think they're Christian because they were born into a Christian household/nation).

Oh I love this thread! I have to agree with both of you, I believe God has given me a passion and compassion, as well as a heart for those you guys listed. Honestly, I believe God gave me those things for pretty much everyone out there. Also, for those that tend to run from God and Him calling them out to be saved and they run from that and from the calling He has for them. I ran for years, and didn't even realize it! Anyone and everyone God sends my way, I try and get to know them, and just listen to their story or testimony. I hear things they've been through, and my heart aches for them, and I go into this 'awe' mode right away. It's like I want to just reach out, hug them, tell them I love them, most of all tell them how much God loves them and do anything and everything I can to help them, and witness to them! When I say witness to them, I don't mean hey lets go full force, blown out, judgmental, no compassion type thing. Yes it's great to have a fire, drive, passion, and desire for serving God and telling others about Him, but do it in a compassionate manner. Anyhow I'll hush now lol sorry! God bless!

Your compassion goes far. God admonished us to love one another. And that is what you're doing.

I have a special place in my heart for adolescent girls who come from poor/abusive/ broken homes and as a result have lost a sense of pride and self-worth/esteem. Consequently, their ability to focus and perform to their full potential in school work is affected and often times they get involve in unhealthy relationships, which may result in teen pregnancy. These girls are usually drawn to me and are sometimes my own relatives or children from the community. I try to extend a helping hand, a listening hear and a loving heart, offer words of encouragement and advice, help them with assignments, take them out on beach trips, but most importantly remind them that God loves them and take them to church, so that they can hear and learn more about the word of God, with the hope that they will be strengthened in him.

I have a heart for those who feel that they have been completely beaten down in this world. They come from all walks of life and from every nation. Those who have such a tough time believing they are loved.

The child in all, the broken, the injured, the forgotten, the confused, the neglected, the abused, those that cannot and do not know how to ask for help, the sick, the sinner, I guess every one.
All is Jesus, Im just a server.
In Jesus, God bless.

Wow, health to you, for the Lord has given you a big heart. Praise the Lord!

The Lord has put compassion for cancer patients (leukemia especially) and molested minors in my heart. Thank you for the topic.

There have been so many "God Moment" times in my life. And there have been periods of profound prayer, leading and guiding. Oh He Is Alive!!! There have been times of "seeing" the end from before the beginning. Yep...I'm In AWE of My God. Then gradually starting the journey that He wants. Not what I want but what He wants me to do. And oh dear...I'm such a big mess. Hahaha...I heard these words one time: "But you are My mess, child". I just know we are going to get there, Lord. Please be patient with me. I'll never forget though the story a preacher told of a little girl and how her daddy only would pour a certain amount of milk in a glass and that's all she could have. And how the house was cold and there wasn't any cover on the bed. I can't remember the exact details of all that but it tore me up!!! I cried for 3 days straight!!! Couldn't stop. Well I had a dream during that time. I dreamed there were millions and millions of baby quilts stacked on top of one another all the way to Heaven! And I actually told my husband about it. And I informed him that I was going to make those quilts. I had never made anything (Oh I can sew a seam) can't read a pattern. Never have made anything from a pattern. I've always wanted to think up my own design and pattern. Anyway. My sewing machine of 30 years broke!!! Just broke...and we didn't have the money for another one. So I waited!!! and waited!!! OK...Lord...I'm waiting. I'm in a holding pattern. Don't want to wait. Lord...Did You forget. I'm waiting on You!!! Hello I'm still here, waiting on You, Lord. I've just realized this is so long maybe it should be in the testimony part but goodness it goes right with the topic. Hahaha...
Anyway...Months and months later: I'm sitting here with a brand new machine!!! This machine does things I didn't think a machine could do! And then to top it all off was lead to Youtube and watched the very best way for me to make a quilt!!! Still don't need a pattern. I can't do it like my great-grandma's and grandma's did it. I needed a different way. It looked impossible!!! But With My God...All things are possible...Oh my my...And other ideas are popping in my head daily. So bottom line. I know how cozy and warm I feel under a quilt. How comforted I feel. I want others to know that feeling and in the mix get alittle or alot of Jesus: Who loves, forgives and saves us to the uttermost. And something else that just won't leave me alone. I have to be like the tide. I can't be like concrete. With open ears and a willing heart to be used where My God wants me. Not my will but His will be done. In The Mighty Name of Our Lord Jesus...Amen
