Well then, please show us in scripture where it tells us that it is necessary for us to know the names of the days of the week. Isn't it more important that we believe that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins, that he was buried and resurrected three days later. Or is it more important for you guys to keep going around in circles and arguing about Tue, Wed, thur and Fri?
Mat. 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.5
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
It matters because Jesus warns that "many" "Christians" will come and lie to us about God, about Salvation, about Him. He thought it is very important as He could have warned about anything, but chose instead to warn about self proclaimed "Christians" telling lies.
Now what kind of a servant would I be if I ignored what Jesus warned about and just believed any preacher who says he comes in Jesus name? And given that Jesus made several such warnings, if I choose to ignore them, then can I expect Him to grant me His gift anyway if I am persuaded to believe and preach the same lies about Him?
You see, there are some on this forum and around the world that believe what the Bible actually says is important. Especially given the examples we have that show what happens to folks that reject what God/Jesus says and creates their own religion.
2 Tim. 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
I don't need "MORE" ungodliness, I'm in trouble as it is. And so it would be foolish for me to ignore His Instruction to study and know when He was resurrected. What HE created as Holy and what is not. What He says is acceptable behavior and what is not.
Why? Because He says so and I believe in Him.
