These verses do not state explicitly that the Gentile is under the law?
Well that is not true UG. God's Word would disagree with you....

Rom 2
28,
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29,
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Romans 10
10,
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11,
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12,
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Romans 3
19,
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are UNDER THE LAW: that EVERY MOUTH MAY BE STOPPED AND ALL THE WORLD may become guilty before God.
20, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall NO FLESH be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 2
12,
For as many
AS MANY HAS HAVE SINNED WITHOUT THE LAW SHALL PERISH WITHOUT THE LAW: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

God's Word is for everyone and we should believe and follow him who is calling us.

.................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (
Matthew 15:3-9)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (
Acts 17:30-31)

Who is it calling us? It is the Lord Jesus Christ and we need to follow him in ALL things.

Those who follow Jesus whether they be Jew or Gentile are all one in Christ Jesus (Gal 3:28) Gone is the JEWISH LAW, we have a new High Priest after the order of Melchizedek who is a priest forever. (Psa 110:4)

The old law is finished and Sabbath law ended along with the ending of the Mosaic Law.

So shut-up about it.

All one in Christ.

Gal. 2:16 Knowing that a man is not made righteous by works of law, but that it is through the faith of Jesus Christ (we also believed into Christ Jesus, that we may be justified through the faith of Christ and not by works of law, because all flesh will not be justified by works of law).

The text says in the Greek “we also believed into Jesus”(The Body of Christ the Temple of GOD) not in Jesus. Also note if you will it is through the faith of Jesus not by the faith of Jesus or faith in Jesus. That is why Galatians goes on to say, “For I, through law, died to law, that I should be living to God." I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God,." (Gal 2:19-20)

To further this point let's jump ahead to Gal 3:27 shall we? It says, "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ."

So we put on, we believed into Christ. We have been baptized into His Death. We have been crucified with Him that the Body of sin be destroyed. Nevertheless we live; yet not us, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh we live by the faith of the Son of God.

Faith of Christ through Faith in Christ.

Why the Law then? It was added because of transgressions, until the Seed (The Faith, Christ’s; the Word, the Commandments manifested inthe flesh, our flesh) should come, to whom it had been promised. But beforeFaith (Christ’s) came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the Faith(Christ’s) which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was ourschoolmaster (Law in general; the Pentateuch and all that is entailed, whichwould include the Decalogue; the Ten Commandments). to bring us unto Christ, that we might be made righteous out of faith. But after that faith is come, weare no longer under a schoolmaster (Law in general; the Pentateuch and all that is entailed, which would include the Decalogue; the Ten Commandments). Knowing that, that law is not laid down for a righteous one, but for lawless and undisciplined ones, for ungodly and sinful ones, for unholy and profane ones..... (1 Tim 1:9)

Which we are not through GOD IF Christ; the Word, the Commandments is manifested in the flesh, our flesh. So in other words there is no need for the written code and it's judgements if we are not breaking it; sinning.

For GOD has said, "Say not in thine heart, Who shallascend into heaven? (That is, to bring Christ, the Word, all that GOD wouldhave us be. HIS Commandments down from above Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (That is, to bring up Christ, theWord, all that GOD would have us be. HIS Commandments again from the dead.) Butwhat saith it? The word (Christ; the Word, the commandments manifested in theflesh, our flesh) is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, in thy heart, and in thyhand: that we may do it; that is, THE WORD OF FAITH, which we preach. And thatis the Gospel, the Kingdom of GOD (CHRIST) in you. For GOD hath said,"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saiththe Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I writethem." And HE shall be our GOD and we shall be HIS people, for it is GODthat works in us both to will and do HIS good pleasure. Christ (the Word, HisCommandments, GOD's will) in us the hope of Glory. For without this faith it isimpossible to please GOD.

For God It was never about doing the written law. His intentin us has always been the Faith that worketh love. The following text show theconnection between the Old Testament and New. The verses in Romans 10:6-8;Deut. 30:11-14 ; Hebrews 8:10,11; Jeremiah 31:33 are all speaking of GOD's giftof enabling us through HIS Spirit to be as HE would have us be. Please noticethat this gift which is the Good News; the Gospel was availed to us from thebeginning of Moses ministry if not even from the time of the fall in Eden. For the LORD thy GOD will circumcise thy heart and the heart of thy seed with HIS commandments and statutes contained in the book of the Law. So let's walk in the Faith, HIS Grace has enabled us.

Whether we are justified by the faith of Christ, or by our faith in Christ matters little. Point being, justification begins and ends with Jesus Christ.

So you are not Lucy-Pevensie? I see. So what has #3143 have to do with anything at all about saying I have said I do not believe in the resurrection? Lets look at it....

What did you answer and what question do you claim you are answering that I have asked you?

The reply to your post was given in post # 3144 below....

Now what question did I ask you to make you think you were answering any questions? You indeed just made up your own question and provided your own answer that did not even answer your own question and this post is not of me saying that I do not believe in the resurrection at all.

So NO, indeed you are bearing false witness claiming I have siad or believe things I have not said or answered and saying you have answered questions I have not asked of you.

@ UG... and just the very fact you are agreeing with gb9 by liking her post, does this also make you an accomplice to bearing false witness because you are agreeing with her?

Only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow him who is calling us.

.............

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (

i have had conversations with atheists that are better than this. i have never had a conversation with someone who claims to follow God, talks about Jesus in a positive way, but does not recognize Him as Lord and Savior, nor will say that he believes in the Resurrection.

so, this is why i am ending this dialogue. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and i am so happy that he died for my sins, i am happy to proclaim it. maybe, hopefully, you will accept Him as yours.

it is not a false claim to say that you, over a dozen times or more , refuse to say that you believe in the Resurrection and that Jesus is Lord. anyone can go back through this thread and see this.

I am a Christian, a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. it is my opinion that you are not. so, we live in different theological worlds.

since you are apparently not going to state your beliefs about Jesus, and I am happy to state mine, then there is no point in continued dialogue.

I think you will find, the faith of Christ is a reference to his humanity, while our faith in Christ for justification is due to his divinity. :)

Hello gb9

It is indeed a lie and a false claim to accuse someone of doing or believing or saying somthing that they do not believe or say just because they have not answered a questions you have asked. How sad for you.

For me, he must increase and I must decrease. I only point all to the Word of God because it is there we find the one who loves us that we may love him. I know him and am known by him. All that he shows me I see and must show to all because I am blind. He tells me it is those that see that do not see.

These are they that have once known him or do not know him. Who am I that he should choose me out of the world? I am no one but he is all. If I did not believe him I would not know him. What can I do without him? He is love and now I love. I follow him now because I love him who first loved me.

You say that I have not answered you, but I indeed answered you with His Word but you do not hear him because you have chosen not to hear his Word to you. I do not judge you but His Word will judge us because they are there for all to see. All are welcome to see and hear God's Word, however many are called but few are chosen.

It is a loosing battle, sister. Any time you offer LGF a Scripture he doesn't like; he will twist it to mean something else. Hi twists and distortions don't need to work linguistically; they only need to agree with his SDA brainwashing. Without intellectual honesty persuasion is NOT POSSIBLE; so NOTHING CAN EVER BE PROVED. You can refute him for the sake of others but you can't persuade him!

Hello MarcR,

Well none of that is true whatsoever. He that is of God hears God's words: you therefore hear them not, because you are not of God. The light shines in darkness; but the darkness does not understand.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Light is come into the world, but men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

But he that does truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Who can know the Word of God when there is no Word? There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed on judgement day.

Do you know the scriptures?

I think most members of the forum will agree that I know them far better than you do. The difference between us is that I not only quote them; I believe them. I even believe the ones that make me uncomfortable.

We should not point people to ourselves to say how good we are about anything. There is no one good only God. We should not point people to the teachings of men over the Word of God.

Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils but His Word is promises to deliver us and it is here we must find safety.

We ought to obey God rather than man. God is love and he that dwells in love dwells in God. Those that are still in their sins have not seen or known him who loves and calls all to FOLLOW him in LOVE.

You do not BELIEVE God's Word or know them because you say you see you do not see because you have no oil in your lamp. If your lamp has gone out or broken how will you find your way when the road is narrow in the night?

Do you know the scriptures MarcR?

Here is the word of God for the Churches today.

One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike.Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes itto the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it.He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. Romans 14:5-6

 • he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it.

Observing or not observing Saturday over other days of the week is between the Lord and His servant.

If the person is walking in the Spirit and being led by the Spirit then the Lord is well able to lead that person to do what the Lord desires for that person to do each day.

If the person is not walking in the Spirit and is not led by the Spirit, then keeping the Sabbath in a certain way is the least of their problems.

Let’s be those who walk in the Spirit and are not under the law.

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Galatians 5:18

I do not judge you but His Word will judge us because they are there for all to see. All are welcome to see and hear God's Word, however many are called but few are chosen.

If I claim to know them, that is just my opinion of myself. If the forum believes I know them, I have evidence in support of my opinion. I think that even those members who frequently disagree with me will agree that I know the Scriptures.

Life by the Spirit

13You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh[SUP]a[/SUP] ; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”[SUP]b[/SUP]15If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.16So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[SUP]c[/SUP] you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

What will the law keepers say now? I can guess: "if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law,
but you have to obey it" or "you can't place Paul's words above Jesus' " or .... whatever.

Hello JLB,

Nice to see you. How are you today my friend?

If your posts and scriptures have already been addressed already with more scripture that disagrees with your interpretation of the scriptures provided, I will just post you the post # linked. Maybe you missed the post I do not know. Please understand that just ignoring a post provided you and scriptures posted does not make the scriptures go away because God's Word is forever and it is the Word of God that is to judge us in the last days.

If you disagree please address the post and the scrtiptures provided and your reasons with the scriptures as to why you disagree. So far you have only just been repeating what you have already said the first time and have ignored the posts and scriptures sent to you and not replied to them. So it is difficult to continue in this discussion with you.

Answered already with scriptures. Please see the post # 3085 linked. If you disagree please address each post and the scrtiptures provided in each post and your reasons with the scriptures.

Yet the scriptures say God' ONLY gives His Spirit to those who OBEY HIM (Act 5:32).

In times of ignorance God WINKS at because someone is living up to all the KNOWLEDGE that God has given them. These can continue to walk in God's spirit if they BELIEVE and OBEY all the KNOWLEDGE of God's truth that they KNOW about.

However, if GOD reveals NEW truth to anyone as part of their Christian GROWTH (1 Cor 1:1-2; 1 Pet 2:2) and one does not BELIEVE or reject the Word of God then you have becoem an UNBELIEVER and it is written...

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries
. (Hebrews 10:26-27)

If you are still in your SINS then you are still under the law and still in your SINS because you have not BELIEVED the Word of God and followed it and do not KNOW him who loves you (1 John 3:6-8; 1 John 2:3-4)

..............

Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

Hope this helps..

12, For as many AS MANY HAS HAVE SINNED WITHOUT THE LAW SHALL PERISH WITHOUT THE LAW: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

Read this again without infusing your internal bias into the text.

Sin was in the world before the law..... Romans 5:13

The Gentile is estranged from the law but has their conscience, the Gentile was never given the Mosaic law including the ten commandments and keeping the Sabbath.

As well, in Acts 15 it is made very clear the Gentiles were not to take on the yoke of the law

9 He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith. 10Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? 11 No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

What you are failing to realize and accept, is the truth of Scripture, that the Gentiles were never under the mosaic law – however - they were still under the same system of religion and law that all mankind has been in bondage to from the beginning.

Which is the curse from Adam and Eve the “knowledge of good and evil” which is seeming to know what it right and wrong and living from that, rather than walking with God.

Romans 2
12,
For as many
AS MANY HAS HAVE SINNED WITHOUT THE LAW SHALL PERISH WITHOUT THE LAW: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

God's Word is for everyone and we should believe and follow him who is calling us.
