And so., I believe each one of us has a responsibility to study out the Bible and as we hear others and their opinions and beliefs we still must go home at night with ourselves. We have to be thoroughly convinced in our own minds. I don't agree with everything this commentator said, but I do agree with most of it.

As we read helpful commentaries and listen to preachers., we daily must inquire of the HolySpirit and the Bible on our own personally. Even if we respect someone very much as a Christian., they cannot walk our walk for us. We each must go home to our own lives and God calls us to fellowship with Him One on one. That is when we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit was given to us to lead us into ALL truth.

So each day., we each must walk out our own salvation working out what Christ has worked IN us already. We don't do this alone, we have the Holy Spirit in us to lead., guide., teach and direct us.

Everyone has at least some truth in what they say, even those we deem as our enemies, even those who follow different books. There is truth in everything (not saying whole truth).

For example, most religions on earth say God or whatever name they give, is Love.

As Christian's we should take the good things, the truths from what people say. No point in nitpicking, which is a distraction from taking the good. If we approach things from that angle we all learn something together.

Joanie, your font is so tiny it is difficult to read as is.
Could you enlarge it a bit? You have time to edit :D

I'm really sorry Mags., don't know how to do that. Wish I could. A lot of times when re posting something., the font changes on me and it's very frustrating.

I think your font looks nice, but then I have a 40" 4k graphics monitor!

Yes., very much agree. Years ago I thought that a young preacher who never went through certain sufferings or certain life experiences we older Christians have been through.,they could not teach adequately the truths in the Bible. But I was wrong.

The Bible stands regardless of who is preaching it. Just because a preacher or person has not experienced heaven or death or the rapture for instance., does that mean he/she could not preach or teach or share the truth of it from the Bible and the Holy Spirit's leading them? Of course not.

What hope do we offer the sick, the lame, the diseased and the oppressed when we put forth a doctrine that simply says to endure?
Whether we like it or not, Christians are not guaranteed smooth sailing and freedom from sickness, disease or poverty on this earth. That certainly does not mean that people should not pray for deliverance, since God is ultimately the one who decides how those prayers should be answered.

The point of my post was that Prince was saying something which had no scriptural foundation. Large numbers of the early Christians were martyred (as were the apostles), and there are many today (as we speak) who are suffering in many countries only because they are Christians. How would they respond to JP?

Just heard this morning "When we label people., we give ourselves permission to discredit them and even hate them." God loves everyone. God so loved the world. While we were yet sinners Christ died for us.
If you were watching Prince, I don't doubt it. He was probably trying to explain why people were labeling him, lol.
