Why Hebrew words?

Why do some posters use Hebrew words when posting in the Bible discussion forum?
It is difficult for some of us less educated old guys to read and understand.

I would say they do it for various reasons.. Some are genuine i am sure.. Some are probably just trying to sound religiously superior or are trying to impress others with their knowledge.. Some have turned it into a kind of Hebrew roots cult..

If people use Hebrew too much in their posts i just skip over their posts and do not read them.. There are one or two posters in this forum that i do not read because of their over use of Hebrew..

Oh yes and some are probably believers in one form or another the sacred name movement.. They believe that if you do not say the right name for God then God will not hear your prayers.. For them salvation is dependant on getting the name of God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit right and in the Hebrew language.. For them people who say God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are destined for hell.. Yeah it is a cult..

Since the OT was written in Hebrew they are referencing the original language to make distinctions in meanings that aren't as clearly translates into English. They do the same with ancient Greek. For example in the old Greek they had multiple versions of the word love, each specifying a different type of love. So it clears up what we read in English to know which version was intended.
Probably most of those guys are 50+, as well. Haha.
 
There may be different reasons for different people on this site. It may be preference, seeking to show respect for God, enjoying the Hebrew language... Etc.
