This thread is taken from a previous one WHAT IS EVIL. Much was said about what it is in terms of simile and what evil does.

This thread is more to do with why and what makes evil, evil. Do you know?

What makes it evil is because those things bring death, loterally bring death even from a human life standpoint. YHWH has perfect understanding and the things that bring death he called evil and said not to do.

1 John 5:17, "All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death."

1 John 3:4, "Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law."

there is no other way to divide what is right and wrong than the Standard of the Creator. Any other way is man made.

Well, I'm no theologian but I do know that God is Light and there's no darkness or evil at all near Him. So wherever God is, there is perfect holiness. I also know that when I look at God, I’m not aware of any evil. Ya know, nothing is evil of itself type deal. So I suppose evil is when I measure anything according to the flesh, my own understanding, rather than just trusting God and resting wholly in Jesus Christ about anything. God is holy and everything that is near to Him is holy.

WHAT IS EVIL= Evil is anything contrary to GOD'S WORD.

WHAT MAKES EVIL?=The devil who is called satan.

TO MAKE IT EVIL=When you listen to the devil and do what he tells you to do.

Holiness is putting on the mind of Christ, not walking after the flesh (carnal, own understanding, intellect, impulse).

I would have you wise about that which is good, and innocent concerning evil.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report; if there be any virtue, and any praise, think on these things.

With my mind I serve the law of God.

Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.

Evil is living according to your own understanding, which is pride, ego, self-will, rebellion, not trusting God.

Evil originated with one angel's hatred for God and opposition to God. In fact it began with one angel's unbridled ambition and pride to SUPERSEDE God (which was foolish to begin with) so one could say that evil began with foolishness and ended with rebellion against God, and a desire to corrupt, pervert and destroy everything good which God had made. In a nutshell evil is total opposition to God and goodness.

Psalm 103:14 for He knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

Genesis 3:14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.

Evil is fear, it knows its fate is death.
It has no resources from God, therefore Truth and Love is unavailable to it, and relies on other forms of energy to survive.

Truth and Love is radiant. The life giving energy of God radiates like Light does. God is also known as Uncreated Light (invisible light...like the spiritual halo). It is the stuff that the whole universe is made from (the energy of atoms/dust).

Deception and fear is the opposite to radiant, it causes tension in a person (to shrivel up). In that tension they are wasting life energy due to a lack of faith in God. That wasted energy is what evil feeds of. They rely on our tension to be fed and survive. Evil suggests fear so those that pay attention to it get fearful.

There are many forms of fear (tension). Such as, anger, resentment, impatience, intolerance, unforgiveness, revenge, etc. All these feed whatever is evil.

So, if a person suggests something to cause another to be fearful, are they not being evil. Do not some of us put down others (to cause fear) so to feel justified, worthy, prideful, etc., (to be fed by others).

So please be more mindful of your own fears and stop feeding what is evil. Be mindful to not suggest fear in others so as to gain something for yourself, for that is what evil does.

Remain truthful and loving as best as you can to limit the amount of evil in your life... or it will shorten your life.

Evil is not the same as sin. I don’t think every sin is evil. Evil is harming a person or causing a person to be turned off God. I think those things are evil. I am reading a biography of Samuel Pepys, and four pence was taken out of a regular seaman’s pay every month to pay a ship’s chaplain. Not enough chaplains could be hired, so the money reverted to the crown- and some wealthy courtiers reaped the benefit. All this, while seaman were ill paid and starving. This is evil- hurting people, and potentially turning them off God. To his credit, Pepys had this practice stopped, and the excess money put in a fund for sick and wounded seamen.

"Nothing is evil in itself but to him that esteem's it, to him its evil." For example esteeming the live of pleasure more than the Love of God.
"The heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked, who can know it."
We need the Holy Spirit to teach us to change by Grace as God's influence.
The sin that cant be forgiven is rejecting the Holy Spirit, "Without Love I am nothing."

God determines what is Evil...

Anything that is in opposition to the will of God is Evil...

Opposing God is evil..

Context, context, context. If you used this as a blanket principle then all the evildoers would go scot free. So the above statement does not belong here.

Exactly anything that does not come from the faith that comes from hearing God is evil .

Hi Eromonnis,

---

God is love, complete love, full of love.........Evil is no love, completely void of love, empty of love, hate.

-----

The things that we call faith, pride, anger, etc., are all facets of the singular ideas. It's how love and evil show themselves.

Love........no love

Joy..........no joy

mercy......no mercy

kindness...no kindness

peace.......no peace, etc.

Reason.....no reasoning, animal, flesh.

Understanding......without understanding

Light......no light, darkness (of the mind, spirit)

Selfless....Ego, self centered, selfish, pride

in control, body and spirit.....without self control, body or spirit, animal

----

And here is the contrast, between those who know God, know love, know wisdom, and the ways of love, and those who don't.

We live in a place between these 2 ideals, sometimes showing one or the other, the flesh and the spirit.

Sometimes wise, and sometimes fools.

It is up to us to choose who, what spirit, will guide our lives.

We can give the power over us to the Spirit of Love, or the spirit of no love.

James 4:7-10, 7, Submit to love, give love the power over your life, Satan will flee from you.

When you become a Christian, you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, Acts 2:38, That is your power over evil, the power of love.

-----

In the end, when this material world is gone, and we are either with God or separated from His love, it will be like it was before the world began. Where God is, or where God is not. Where there is love, or cast away from the presence of love, and those who love.

Those who are with God, will be surrounded by love, no one who doesn't love will be there, no bullies or souls who hurt, and our souls will be made perfect by the blood of Jesus.

The souls who are separated from love, are without love forever. All the ones who choose not to follow the ways of love will be there. Living with heartbreak, guilt, and sorrow for ever.

The suffering of this world, is nothing compared to the eternal suffering without love, after death.

But the joy, the joy, the rejoicing, the love and mercy of love God, surrounded by His love, wow, what is to come, friends, it will all be worth it, many times over, eternally. Thank you Jesus.
