I absolutely love the book of Revelation and thoroughly enjoy reading and studying it immensely! I am so looking forward to Jesus' return and millennial reign on earth!!! Then, eternity with Him, when time is no more.............can you tell, I'm kinda homesick. :)

Even this picture is a manmade fabrication. Why are they changing Scripture to show things just the opposite of how Scripture describes them? (You did say you are a student of the book, right? So you know exactly what I am talking about.)

I know that probably 97% of people read The Apocalypse (Revelation) with a preconceived notion. I know that I sure did.... for about four and a half decades.
What do you mean preconceived notion?

(If ANYONE tells you to avoid Christ's teachings, and then you listen to them, you've lost.
They are robbing you.

Read about the Churches in revelation who take a attitude they know best. Christ will fight against them. They wont be Christian for long after Satan is through with them )


Either listen to Christ's words and receive His blessings , or don't call yourself a Christian because only curses of the world remain for you.

Christ did not have time to waste for wayward Christians to undermined His efforts ; to bringing Gods Truth..

But that does not stop people from spreading confusion and lies in the name of Christ .

When I read the OP I instantly thought about the warning to the churches too.

Some simple ones for you: Where is the sword? Where does Scripture say it is.

What color is His robe? What does Scripture say about it?

The Rider on the White Horse

…13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God. 14The armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and pure, follow Him on white horses.

The only difference I can see is that in the picture his entire robe is red, and the scriptures say it was dipped in blood, but who is to say that they did not 'Dip the whole robe?

The sword is a metaphor for the Word of God -- the Sword of the Spirit (Eph 6: 17). So why are you so keen about a sword being pictured to make the depiction ridiculous? The Lord destroys His enemies with "the breath (or spirit) of His mouth" (2 Thess 2:8) according to Scripture. And nit-picking an artist's rendition is not really necessary.

You can always check out the history of it. Most of it already happened in the first century A.D.
It did but God has a habit of repeating himself. He destroyed the Temple and Jerusalem using Babylon, then he did it again with the Romans and then repeated the Roman excercise by flattening Jerusalem and ploughing over the site. Just to make sure the message got across he allowed a Pagan City and Temple to be built over it. Then he got Constantine to rebuild Jerusalem. At the second coming he will do it all again.

In his vision of judgment upon the wicked, the apostle John tells us that Jesus is returning on a white horse: “Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war” (Revelation 19:11; see Psalm 45). Most Bible scholars are of the opinion that this passage is not referring to the Rapture, but rather to Jesus’ coming to earth with His saints at the end of the Tribulation.

The horse’s white color represents purity or victory (cf. Revelation 7:14-15), for this rider is holy and goes forth to be the triumphant conqueror. During ancient times, victorious Roman generals entered their conquered cities in chariots drawn by white horses. The entire setting of this verse implies victory over Christ’s enemies. As such, the word white indicates triumph, a successful war.

What a vivid contrast we see in Jesus’ return with all His angels (Matthew 25:31), as compared to His entry to Jerusalem upon a donkey (Matthew 21:7-9)! He is no longer riding a humble donkey. Jesus will return on a fiery white charger, bringing judgment, just as He had promised (Matthew 25:31-33).

Also by way of contrast, when He was on earth, Jesus was abandoned by His followers (Mark 14:50). Revelation 19 reveals the armies of heaven following Him in conquest. He is not returning to speak “gracious words” (Luke 4:22) but the words of righteous judgment (Isaiah 11:4). Jesus comes to rule with a rod of iron (Psalm 2:9). He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords (Revelation 17:14; Revelation 19:16).

But, will it? To begin reading Revelation, (or anything) already believing these points we just mentioned are facts... is the very definition of a preconceived notion.
