oh yes, cats, dogs, horses, = our human connection with the 'others', species that our
Maker has created and are now so compatible and wonderful additions, as long as we
keep them in their respected positions...on 'both sides'...
our latest cat, which was a 'drop-off' from about 7yrs. ago: we came home one night
and I saw a streak of light running up to the house as we drove into the driveway and
he came running right up to me - since we were 'catless' at this time, we still had some
left over cat food and some milk, so I naturally couldn't help myself, and put them out
on the steps for him - nurtured him, even brought him 'into the house', which is always
a 'no-no', except when we have little ones so that we may bond and so that they will stay
close to home and not wander - anyway, after all of MY NURTURING, as always, he became
infatuated with hub instead and hub is his 'pride leader', with myself, as usual taking second place
...
I really don't mind,
for this particular cat is more like a 'dog' than an 'cat', - he each and every day
awaits hub's arising and coming outside to spend all of his time with him, which entails following him
everywhere he goes and trying to participate in everything he does, to the point of jumping into the
wheel barrow, along with the tools or whatever else happens to be in there and going along for the ride,
sitting right in front and looking like he is scouting out where hub should go...if hub rakes up a pile of
leaves, he sits right in the middle - if hub is picking up sticks, he picks one up, if hub takes a break in
his chair, he has to pull another one along side so 'cat' can have the same resting time, but of course
he wants a 'cushion' or it's not satisfactory, hub accommodates him, of course...
he ALWAYS, every single day, awaits hub arising, and plans his 'cat-day' from there...
he is a great 'patroller' of our property and very intense, he is very large and very protective
of his 'territory', - he 'owns the indoor garage next to the house, and what we do to accommodate him
is well, let's just not go there...
