have you ever sinned after baptism ???

Hello guys , after reading many topics in here i thot id post one of my experience.

I was baptized in 2004, i was very fine and moving on well spiritually , after couple of years i've been through lot of temptations , i cant say what they are but they are kind of bad , i couldn't resist my temptations and i admit i have sinned again , but i always used to keep thinking how and why i'm doing this when i'm committed to god. since last year i started being closer to god, my point is...., is it acceptable to god once a person is baptized and sinned again and rectifying them eventually? i know what i did was wrong , but does a person still deserve a second chance? its kinda killin me

All sin and fall short. We are human, and can sin at any time, even if we are saved and baptised. Give your sins up to God, ask for forgivness, and keep going wiht your life. You will sin again. We all do, though some may seem worse than others to us as humans, all sins are equal in Gods eyes, and all are forgiven.

It's not something you WANT do it... But it does happen. As humans we cannot avoid sin. But we should strive to keep ourselves from doing it.

It will happen to everyone, yes. Like I said, we're all sinners, and even though we will avoid sin, we cannot change our natures.

As the Bible teaches, resist the temptations, and if you fall, repent and God will forgive you. The devil wants to kill, steal and destroy, we will all occationally face suffering and temptation. The devil knows your weak points and will use that against you in every possible way. Perhaps it would be good for you to talk to your pastor about this particular temptation of yours, it may help you to resist. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world! With Christ you have everything you need to resist temptations. He who is in Christ, is truly free. When you repent of your sins, the devil cannot accuse you any more; you´re covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

I was never taught that baptism was that huge of a thing, I don’t think. I’m more into the idea of loving the Lord with all my heart, soul, and mind, and loving my neighbor as myself. These are the two great commandments (Matt 22:34-40).

I really began service in 1973, when I was 20. It wasn’t until 1988 that I made an honest effort to repent of sin.

Perhaps I misspoke earlier. Some churches have infant baptisms. They think it is so important that you get baptized, perhaps, that they want to baptize you as soon as possible. Other churches do not have infant baptism because they think a person should make the decision themselves to be baptized. We have infant baptism in my church.

I think some believe if you die without getting baptized, you go to hell. Thus, the infant baptism.

but theres long way to go after baptism , if an infant is baptized , i think he shud be in a proper spiritual guidance like forever

You need to come before him and ask for forgiveness. No one is perfect and sin - free other than your Saviour. Everyone falls into sin even after they are baptized ,etc. That doesn't mean you're going to be sent straight to hell. Man is saved by grace, the heart is established by grace, and we are justified by grace (Eph. 2: 5, 8, Heb. 13: 9, Tit. 3: 7).

BUT

that doesn't mean you go on sinning intentionally and have it in your mind that "I can do whatever I want and then ask forgiveness."
He reads your heart. He knows how sincere and truthful you are to him. You CAN'T fool God

It is impossible for us humans not to sin. We should TRY not to sin, and stay away from what we know can make us weaker, but we will sin...
that's why Jesus died for us , to save those who regret and accept his sacrifice
