I skipped the cheese fries and blanket fort and bought a cookie the size of my face. I’m not sure any of this was a good idea.

I see them at the mall when I have a dentist appointment :D

I was going to buy one for my daughter, because she eats like a bird
but can always scarf down a cookie, or a piece of cake with ice cream :)

I never claimed love was a supernatural force. So that is pure and unfounded fabrication on your part, and nothing less.

Love isn't required for sex. When a man hires a prostitute he isn't loving her. So your immediate premise starts on a fabrication and a statement that holds zero truth.
Well, telling me what everyone else believes should be an obvious dead end since my original message stated clearly, and even showed example, of how that had no effect on my outlook.
Economic success is not how the quality of marriage is defined. It is simply one of many elements. There are poor happily married people and rich people on their fifth spouse.
I have thought about it. For many years. And that's why o have the opinion I do. Suggesting I have not put thought into it is insulting.
Also there is a distinction between a person, of their own free will, choosing to take responsibility and a person that feels a societal requirement to take a commitment they never wanted.
Lastly even the length of marriage is not always a great factor. In a society where divorce carries serious social and possible familial repercussions one may stay in a marriage that they are miserable in, mistreated, cheated on or even abused. Not because it is a successful marriage but out of obligation. On the outside it may seem the long life of the marriage is evidence that it's good, when in reality it's not.

You've made false statements, unfounded statements, criticized others for not providing facts despite not having any yourself. You've said many words, but very little with those many words. I did not find a single element of what you said even worth stopping to consider.
At the end of this neither of us are stating facts. But I will close with one fact.
I knew a woman who became pregnant by a man she had no love for. She refused to marry him, but he kept asking. Of his own accord. She was eventually coerced and pressured into saying yes by people that think like you.
Because she never loved him she was miserable. He became bitter she didn't "learn to love him" as she was told by everyone else. He became verbally abusive. When they had kids he mistreated their children as well. Twenty years later her kids all hate their father. Talk down or mistreat their mother, after the father's example. She's broke and alone. He craps and pisses himself on his couch. Literally. Hes an alcoholic that lives alone.
Their youngest daughter was cutting herself for a while and noe everyone suspects she's on drugs. Her son screams "closet homosexual". Her oldest is doing well, but she has such a chip in her shoulder, and still talks down to her mother.
So forgive me if I'm not going to buy into the fantasy that marriage for getting pregnant is such a great idea.
I'm sorry you feel that way Ugly.

I never stated you have a belief that love is a supernatural force. If I thought that, I would have clearly stated it. That being said, I agree neither one of us has thrown down any facts.

I don't know much about prostitution, other than the legalities of it in my state, but I could only imagine, most who engage in it, don't ride bareback, so I doubt many children are produced by it. I don't care to research that.
What point is being overlooked by both sides of this argument, is the child. I don't know if you have any, I jave two. When my oldest was born, my right to seek my own happiness, flew out the window. It's all about raising Godly offspring, so they will go on to do the same.
As far as academic research to identify a successful marriage, more like a successful family unit, very few factors can be quantified, other than economics and the propensity to crime. Here is an article about single parent homes, and the pitfalls:
https://www.heritage.org/crime-and-...olent-crime-the-breakdown-marriage-family-and

For every example of failure in a mid-pregnancy marriage, I could find a success. Although I often hated my own existence, if it weren't for my grandparents taking responsibility, I wouldn't be here. Neither would my beautiful babies. I still believe pregnancy is as good of a reason to marry as any other.

In a perfect world, everyone courts, develops a love between eachother, marries, then has children. We aren't discussing ideal circumstances.

It’s midnight, and I find that to be incredibly annoying. Not the time itself, but that I’m awake to see it. It’s just all...pitch black. Aside from the multitude of lights perched in various places upon the entertainment center- lights that I never notice during the day, but at this hour are really quite obnoxious. I don’t even know what half of the lights belong to...a weather station thingamajig? A router? What’s the row of green blippy lights for? Or the lonely little red one? Stay tuned to find out...

Just kidding, I’m not that dedicated.

Maybe it’s not just pitch black...the bit of sky I can see out the window is gray. Correction- it’s pinkish-gray, the color that usually means it’s going to snow. But it won’t snow, because this winter has been extremely uncooperative and doesn’t want me to build an entire army of 12” tall snowmen. That’s a bit depressing, honestly, because it would be interesting to see how 50 miniature snowmen fare against nine full grown chickens.

...probably the chickens would literally henpeck them to death and then do what chickens never. stop. doing- poop. It turns out, they even do this in their sleep, and that’s exactly the type of thing I should have known before deciding to become a chicken mama, because I might’ve decided against chickens and gotten a dairy cow instead.

What am I saying? Of course I wouldn’t have- I’d have insisted on getting 20 chickens AND a dairy cow, and possibly a duck.

Now it doesn’t seem pitch black inside, either...everything’s got a nice blueish tone to it.

Just when I thought I’d accepted that midnight is actually quite a nice time to be awake, I noticed that it’s now closer to 1:00, and 1:00 sounds worse than midnight.

It's ok. About 10 minutes after posting that, I had to hook someone up for slapping baby momma. I'm awake now.

I have some stress. I usually feel it in my back and shoulders. I've never been able to shut my brain off.
