The "GOOD WORKS of GOD" are done by God. He has justified us and redeemed us. All we need to do is to believe. Those who do not believe are described in the dictionary as atheists, or unbelievers. Quite obviously you do not believe in the redeeming work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Instead you seem to think you can save yourself by keeping the commandments. The bad news is, you cannot save yourself.
Amen! Romans 4:4 - Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. 5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works.

Anyone who trusts in God enough to follow His Instructions are considered "Home born" just as Abraham was considered home born. Your unbelief does not make the Word of God void.
The Judaizers thought they were following God's instructions but ended up promoting a works based FALSE gospel. My belief/faith is in Christ (John 3:18; Acts 10:43; 16:31) and is not in the law (Romans 3:22-28; 4:5-6; Galatians 2:16; Philippians 3:9 etc..). Your delusional world of UNBELIEF has blinded you from the truth.

We need look only to Jesus to know how to walk. He is truly the "Intent" of the Law for righteous. His walk defines righteousness.

1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
DESCRIPTIVE of genuine believers who strive to walk, even as He walked and NOT to become saved but because we ARE saved.

Anyone who strives to do this will be hated in this world as Cain, who claimed God as his God, hated Abel because Able reflected the righteousness of Jesus. The Pharisees hated Jesus because Jesus obedience exposed their religious traditions as from man and not from God. Yes, by their Law they killed Him, but Jesus "Triumphed over THEM" on the cross.
What is God's will for us to become saved?

*John 6:40 - For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. Perverting the Gospel by teaching that salvation is by "grace plus law, faith plus works" is not doing His will.

You preach Jesus only created instructions for one specific DNA. "Jews". But Paul teaches differently.
You misguided teachers of the law are full of straw man arguments.

Col. 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

These are "shadows" of God's Salvation plan which begins with Passover. They were created by Jesus as God of the Old Testament, not man.
See post #4165.

Don't let some religious man trick you into turning your back on God's Salvation and following man.
LOL! You are the master of IRONY.

PART 1/6

Hi MMD this is a rebuttal of your post # 4165 for your consideration. It will be 6 detailed smaller posts with lot's of scripture that show your interpretation of the scriptures is not biblical.

If you disagree with any of these posts please address each of the posts and the scriptures in them. If you cannot you should BELIEVE and FOLLOW God’s Word. Sin will keep all who practice it OUT of God’s Kingdom.

The Book of the Law contained the laws and instruction given by the Lord through Moses to the people of Israel. Are you a Jew under the Old Covenant? Nehemiah 8:1 - And all the people gathered as one man at the square which was in front of the Water Gate, and they asked Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses which the LORD had given to Israel. Romans 10:8 - But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
WHAT IS THE OLD COVENANT?

The Old Covenant included two sets of LAWS that were contained houses in and in the ARK or HOUSE of the COVENANT. This included 1. God's LAW (10 commandments) written by God on stone and 2. The Mosaic book of the law written by Moses in the book of the law and ordinances and history.

God commanded Moses to keep these laws separated in the Ark of the Covenant that made up the Old Covenant. God's LAW (10 commandments) were placed inside the Ark and the Mosaic book of the law was placed at the side of the Ark of the Covenant

God's LAW was written and made by God alone and nothing was to be added to it and the Mosaic law was made and written by Moses as directed by God in a book. God's LAW (10 commandments) was placed in the Ark of the Covenant. While the Mosaic book of the law was plaved in the side of the Ark of the covenant (Ex 32:16; 34:28; Deut 4:13; 10:4Romans 3:20, 1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; Ps 119:172; James 2:8-12; Hebrews 8:10-12; Gal 3:24; Deut 5:22; Ex 34:28; Deut 4:13; 10:4Ecc 3:14; God's LAW; Ex 25:16; Deut 10:5; Ecc 3:14; Book of the law; Deut 31:26; Col 2:14-17).

It is true indeed that both God's LAW and the Mosaic laws written in the book of the covenant collectively have the 613 commands. This being said both Gods' LAW and the Mosaic laws for remission of sin have a different purpose.

The purpose of God's LAW written on stone and the Mosic laws written in the book

(1) God’s Law (10 commandments)
Purpose; reveals what sin and righteousness (Good and Evil) is and describes the penalty for sin (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23). It was never a cure for sin. But it was the work of God which is forever and the foundation of the Old Covenant, the New Covenant and the Judgement to come. (Exodus 32:16; Exodus 31:18; 31:18; Exodus 20:1-22; Deuteronomy 10:5; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4; Romans 6:23; Hebrews 7:19; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31; Ps 111:7-8; Revelation 12:17; 14:12; 22:14; 1 John 3:5-8; 1 John 2:3-4; Ecclesiastes 3:14)

(2) The laws of Moses (Levitical, ceremonial, sacrificial)
Purpose; was the prescriptive cure for sin with all the Levitical and ceremonial laws, burnt offerings for sin, annual feast days foretelling the plan of salvation which were connected to Feast days with New Moon sabbaths, food and drink offerings and other Holy days. These where all types pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation and provided a cure for sin through animal sacrifice and food and drink offerings and yearly sin atonement's for God’s people. (Leviticus 1:1-13; Leviticus 23:1-44; Numbers 28:1-31; 29:1-40; Deuteronomy 24:10-11; Exodus 24:3; Deuteronomy 31:24-26; Colossians 2:16-16; Hebrews 10:1; Ephesians 2:14-15; Leviticus 4; 5; 6; Hebrews 4:14; 9;10; John 1:29; not exhaustive there are many more).

Why were the ceremonial laws of Moses (handwriting of ordinances) nailed to the cross and shadows of things to come......

Jesus was our true sacrifice for our sins and the Savior of the world that the ceremonial laws of Moses all pointed to. When Jesus came and died the old Covenant laws of Moses that pointed to Jesus and the plan of salvation was fulfilled (John 1:29; 36; Revelation 5:6; 1 Corinthians 5:6-7; Hebrews 8:2-13; 9:1-28). Jesus is our true Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and our sacrifice for our sins. It is our sins as well as the ceremonial laws of Moses that were nailed to the cross at the death of Jesus (Colossians 2:14; Ephesians 2:15; John 3:16).

So just as the Mosaic laws for remission of SIN are have a difference purpose to God's Law (10 commandments) they are all temporary Shadows because they were all pointing to Jesus and the plan of salvation, God's Law is not temporary they are the manifestation of the Character of God through LOVE and are FOREVER.

GODS LAW (10 commandments) ARE FOREVER (the Moasic laws are not)

The Law of God (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment is the work of God (Exodus 32:16) whatsoever

God does is forever nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecclesiastes 3:14). God's Law is perfect converting the soul (Psalms 19:7).

It is the very standard of the Old and New Covenants (Exodus 20:1:17, Hebrews 8:10-12).

God's Law was spoken by God himself to His people (Exodus 20:1-22).

Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matthew 25:35).

Gods Law is still in force today (Psalms 111:7-8, Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14, 1 John 3:5-8, 1 John 2:3-4 etc.).

The Law of God reveals sin to us so we can see ourselves as we truly are sinners in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4).

It is the great standard of the judgement (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, James 2:10-12, 1 John 3:4, Acts 17:31).

God's Law is our teacher revealing sin and the character of God and brings us to Christ at the foot of the cross that we might be saved by faith by Him who loves us and washed us in His own blood (Galatians 3:24; Revelation 1:5).

Jesus came not to abolish the law, but to fulfil it (Matt 5:17-20).

The law is the embodiment of truth that instructs (Rom 2:18-19). It is "holy" and "spiritual, " making sin known to us by defining it; therefore, Paul delights in it (Romans 7:7-14Romans 7:22). The law is good if used properly (1 Tim 1:8), and is not opposed to the promises of God (Gal 3:21).

Faith does not make the law void, but the Christian establishes the law ( Rom 3:31 ), fulfilling its requirements by walking according to the Spirit (Rom 8:4) through love (Rom 13:10).

You cannot know the power of God or the Gospel of Grace without the 10 commandments. If there is NO LAW then you do not know what SIN is (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; 1 John 3:4). If you do not know what SIN is you have NO need of a Savior. If you have NO need of a Savior you have NO Salvation. If you have NO Salvation you are LOST because it is written.

God's LAW was written and made by God alone on two tables of stone and spoken by God himself to his people and nothing was to be added to it. (God's LAW; Ex 32:16; 34:28; Deut 4:13; 10:4; Exodus 20; Romans 3:20, 1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; Ps 119:172; James 2:8-12; Hebrews 8:10-12; Gal 3:24; Deut 5:22; Ex 34:28; Deut 10:4 Ecc 3:14; Ex 25:16; Deut 10:5)

It is called God's LAW or the 10 Commandment, because he was the one alone who made it and commanded Moses to keep in separated from the book of the law in the Ark of the Covenant (Neh 10:29; Deut 10:4-5; Deut 31:25-26; Deut 4:13; Ex 34:28)

God's LAW was not made by Moses it was made by God alone on two tables of stone and nothing was to be added to it and it was to be separated from the Mosaic book of the law. That is why it is referred to in the scriptures as God's LAW or the 10 commandments (not the 613).

The Mosaic law was made and written and spoken by Moses as directed by God in the book of the covenant. (Mosaic Book of the law; Deut 31:9; Ex 24:3-4; Deut 31:24-27; Col 2:14-17).

God not only commanded Moses to keep the 10 Commandments separated from the Mosaic book of the law in the Ark of the Covenant (Deut 10:5; 31:25-26 nothing was to be added to it (Deut 4:1-2; Deut 5:22)

God makes a distinction between the 10 Commandments and the book of the law of Moses….

2 Kings 21
8,
Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.

Do we need more scripture? It is the Shadow laws written in the book of Moses that pointed to Jesus and God’s plan of salvation and the remission of SINS that has been abolished not God’s 10 Commandments which are the KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS (Good and Evil) and the very standard of the Old and NEW Covenant and the Judgement to come.

I hope this is a help to you. You really do not understand the OLD Covenant my friend.

.............

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31). God's Word says if we break one of the ten we stand guilty before God of breaking all the commandments of God (James 2:8-12). God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and if we break it like any of the other commandments we stand guilty before God of SIN (Exodus 20:1-17).

If we break any of God’s Laws we stand guilty before God in SIN (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

PART 2/6

SDA's remind me of Israel, who have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge and being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who BELIEVES. (Romans 10:1-4) 1 Corinthians 1:21 - For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who BELIEVE.
And yet it is your that has just shown everyone you do not KNOW what the OLD Covenant is. If you do NOT KNOW what the OLD Covenant is how can you KNOW what the NEW Covenant is? If you do not KNOW what the NEW Covenant is how can you know what the Gospel is?

You break God’s Commandments and teach others to do so. This is something Jesus and the Apostles NEVER DID. Those who do such things Jesus calls least in God’s KINGDOM because they will not ENTER it. Let's have a look at your teachings and compare it to God's Word.

Romans 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who BELIEVES, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. It's time for you misguided teachers of the law to repent and BELIEVE the Gospel. The Gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16). To BELIEVE the Gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of your salvation.
Now my friend, how can you preach the Gospel to others if you do not KNOW what the Gospel is?

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

The Gospel is JESUS <Jesus means Savior; John 1:29> and JESUS is THE WORD OF GOD (John 1:1-14; 17:17; 14:6). THE WORD OF GOD is the GOSPEL BECAUSE BY FAITH IT IS OUR SAVIOR and this the IS GOOD NEWS to those who BELIEVE. (John 1:1-14; John 1:29; John 17:17; 14:6; Matthew 4:4)

Mark 1:1
The beginning of the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST; THE SON OF GOD <the WORD OF GOD; John 1:1-14; 17:17; 14:6>

The death, burial and resurrection of Christ is a very important part of the Gospel but is that all there is to the Gospel?

Lets look at God's Word...................................

The Gospel means; G2098 εὐαγγέλιον euaggelion (ev-an-ğe'-liy-on) n. a good message; Good news).

Ok I think most know that the word Gospel means good news or a good message. So if you only believe that the Gospel is the death burial and resurrection of Christ, how do you harmonize the following scriptures.........................

After Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist............

Mark 1
15,
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL.

Wait a minute? Jesus is ONLY JUST STARTING HIS MINISTRY and has NOT DIED, has not been buried and if he has not died and not been buried he certainly has not been resurrected. Yet here we have Jesus BEGINNING his MINISTRY and preaching the GOSPEL

and again..................

Mark 8
35,
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but WHOSOEVER SHALL LOSE HIS LIFE FOR MY SAKE AND THE GOSPELS, THE SAME SHALL SAVE IT.

Well here we have it again the Gospel is being preached BEFORE the death of Jesus and again.....................

Matthew 4
23,
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Seems like Matthew and Mark both agree that Jesus is preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom before the death of Jesus...

Matthew 9
35,
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Yep Jesus still going about everywhere preaching the Gospel. His whole Ministry BEFORE His DEATH was preaching the GOSPEL..

Matthew 11
4, Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
5, The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and THE POOR HAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THEM.

and again..............

Matthew 24
14,
And this GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM SHALL BE PREACHED IN ALL THE WORLD for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Yep Jesus is still preaching the Gospel before His Death and Resurrection. Mathew and Mark both agree.....
Luke talks about Jesus in the Synagogue.....

Luke 4

17, And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because HE HAS ANNOTATED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Well it seems like Isaiah from the OLD TESTAMENT knew about the Gospel so the Gospel indeed was being preached BEFORE the DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS.......

Luke 7
22,
Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor THE GOSPEL IS PREACHED.

Yep Matthew, Mark and Luke all agree the Gospel was being preached BEFORE the DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS.......

Luke 20
1,
And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and PREACHED THE GOSPEL, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,

Yep there goes Jesus again teaching the people in the temple and preaching the GOSPEL before the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.....

So ok lets bring it all together............

The Good New (Gospel) is JESUS and Jesus is the WORD OF GOD. It is the WORD OF GOD THAT IS THE GOSPEL that we are to BELIEVE IN AND LIVE BY. (Matt 4:4; John 1-1-4; John 3:16). Why do you say it is a "works based doctrine" when we have to BELIEVE EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD? It is by GRACE that we are SAVED <HOW?> THROUGH FAITH and NOT of your selves it is a GIFT of GOD and NOT of WORKS LEST ANY MAN should boast.

Now if you do not know what the GOSPEL is how can you preach it to others? Man does not live by bread alone but by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the MOUTH of GOD.

Jesus's ministry started since he was a child but more so after the Baptism of John and his temptation in the wilderness where he soon after started preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND! (Matthew 4:17; 23; 9:35; 11:5; 24:14; 26:16)

Did you know that the Gospel was being preached BEFORE the NEW Testament scriptures (Hebrews 4:2)? The GOSPEL is indeed JESUS; the Word of God and he is the good news of the Old and NEW Testament scripture that we are to BELIEVE and FOLLOW.

In summary....

The "Gospel" (good news) is EVERY Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God and it is God's Word that we are to live by and have life (Matthew 4:4). The "Gospel" was being preached before the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus (e.g. Mark 1:15; 8:35; Matthew 4:23; Matthew 9:35; 11:5; 24:14; Luke 4:18; 7:22; 20:11)

The Good New (Gospel) is indeed Jesus, His life, death, resurrection and new administration as our great high priest, but Jesus is the Word of God. The Gospel is the WORD OF GOD and it is the WORD OF GOD that we are to BELIEVE and live by. (Matthew 4:4; John 1-1-4; John 3:16).

If we are NOT BELIEVING and LIVING by the WORD OF GOD we have yet to experience God's GRACE through FAITH, because OBEDIENCE is the FRUIT of FAITH. If their is NO FRUIT you are still in your SINS and do not know him who LOVES ALL (1 John 3:3-10; James 2:18; 20; 26; Hebrews 10:26-27; 6:4-8).

If you do not agree with anything I have posted by all means please address the posts and the scriptures provided in the posts and your reasons why you disagree with supporting scriptures.

If you cannot why do you not BELIEVE God's Word? If you do not know what the Gospel is then you are building your house on the sand and great shall be the fall thereof.

God loves you and wants you to be ready for his return. If you hear his voice please harden not your heart. Search the scriptures and see if these things be so.

.............

PART 3/6

NOT trust in Christ + the 10 commandments for salvation or trust in Christ + keeping the sabbath day for salvation which is not trusting exclusively in Christ for salvation. Man is saved by grace through faith, not works (Ephesians 2:8,9). Salvation by "grace plus law, faith plus works" is a perversion of the Gospel (Galatians 1:6-9).
Strawman much? Now who has been teaching or has said anywhere in this thread or in all of CC that we are to trust in Christ plus the 10 Commandments for salvation? If no one is saying such things are you bearing false witness?

We are save by GRACE through FAITH and not of OURSELVES it is a GIFT of God lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8). However, if your FAITH does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE then you are still in your SINS because you have rejected the GIFT of God’s dear SON (James 2:18; 20; 26). If your tree has no FRUIT it will be cast down and thrown into the FIRE (Matthew 7:12-23; Hebrew 10:26-27) and the wages of SIN is death (Romans 6:23) The perversion of the Gospel is the one having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof (2Tim 3:5). It is SIN that will keep all who PRACTICE it OUT of God’s KINGDOM.

An unbiased reading of Colossians 2:16 will show that this is talking about not just "ceremonial Sabbaths." The words "ton sabbaton" or "sabbath days"; are the same words translated "Sabbath day" in Exodus 20:8 in the Septuagint (the Jewish translation of the Old Testament into Greek).

Well let’s look at what your building your house on here. You are firstly trying to substitute the Hebrew words for Sabbath for the Greek and say this is the word for Exodus 20:8 when it is not even the same Language. Let’s look at the Hebrew Word for Sabbath…

Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries w/TVM, Strong SABBATH - H7676 ; שׁבּת ; shabbâth; shab-bawth'
Intensive from H7673 [REST Genesis 2:1-3]; intermission, that is, (specifically) the Sabbath: - (+ every) sabbath.

The Hebrew meaning of the Sabbath here is EVERY SABBATH.

Let’s look at the Greek Word Sabbaton…..

Strongs G4521 σάββατον sabbaton (saɓ'-ɓa-ton) n.1. the Sabbath (i.e. Shabbath).2. a day of weekly repose from secular avocations.3. the observance or institution itself.4. (by extension) a week, i.e. the interval between two Sabbaths.5. likewise the plural in all the above applications.[of Hebrew origin (H7676)]KJV: sabbath (day), week Root(s): H7676

Now the Greek word has its root word from the Hebrew H7676 shabbath but has a different meaning depending on the context of it’s application. It can mean 1. the Sabbath (i.e. Shabbath).2. a day of weekly repose from secular avocations [resting].3. the observance or institution itself.4. (by extension) a week, i.e. the interval between two Sabbaths.5. likewise the plural in all the above applications.

Why is this important? It is important because depending on the CONTEXT on how the Word is used it can have a different meaning from God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment which is the Sabbath or SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK.

For example it’s Sabbaton can mean a whole week (4) or the interval between the 7[SUP]th[/SUP] Day Sabbath (e.g. Matthew 28:1) or multiple Sabbaths (5) or it can simply mean resting from work (3)

SO no my friend your building your house on sifting sand again. The Hebrew word for Sabbath (Shabbath ) which solely means EVERY SABBATH is not the same as the Greek Word; Sabbaton that has 5 meanings depending on its application.

.............

PART 4/6

Look at Paul's reasoning, "Let no one judge you regarding a, festival - yearly Sabbaths, a new moon - monthly Sabbaths, or a Sabbath day - weekly Sabbaths (or if you wish Sabbath days)" CHRIST, he goes on to say is the "Substance", these things were shadows.
There is a number of things wrong with your interpretation of the Scriptures here. Firstly the foundation you are building on is false because you do not understand what the OLD Covenant is (as shown in PART 1 of these posts). So your interpreting COL 2:16-17 without considering what Paul is referring to in the Old Covenant.

If you read the OP you will see how these scriptures link the Old Testament scriptures in harmony with the NEW Testament showing exactly what the shadow laws are.

Secondly, both the within chapter CONTEXT and the within SCRIPTURE CONTEXTS both disagree with your interpretation.

We have already shown what the OLD Covenant is but would also point you to the OP and all the scripture that you have ignored or simply have not read and suggest you read the OP which disagrees with your interpretation of the scriptures. (OP Linked).

Now the above has been addressed, let’s move on here and look at the within chapter and scripture CONTEXT of COL 2 shall we?

THE LAWS CONTAINED IN ORDINANCES (COL 2:14)

COLOSSIANS 2:14-17,
14, Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15, And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath(s): 17, which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Colossians 2:14
Let’s start with the context of Colossians 2:16-17. The context is verse 14 which is the blotting out (G1813; ἐξαλείφω; exaleiphō; ex-al-i'-fo; means to obliterate; erase; wipe away) the handwriting of ordinances which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way nailing it to the cross.

The next question we need to consider is what is the handwriting of ordinances that are to be erased and nailed to the cross?

The Greek words used here is handwriting G5498 χειρόγραφον; cheirographon; which means; hand written legal document which is combined with ordinance G1378 δόγμα dogma dog'-mah From the base of G1380; which means; civil, ceremonial or ecclesiastical law: - decree;

The Greek meaning of handwriting of ordinances in V14 is a hand written legal document or book of civil, ceremonial and ecclesiastical laws. These are the laws referred to in verse 14 that have been erased and are nailed to the cross.

As can be shown through the scriptures it is the Shadow Mosaic laws written in the book of Moses that was against us and nailed to the cross with our sins that are now fulfilled in Christ our true sacrifice and great high Priest who ministers on our behalf in the heavenly Sanctuary not made with hands.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOD’S SABBATH AND THE CEREMONIAL SABBATHS CONTAINED IN ORDINANCES IN THE MOSAIC BOOK OF THE COVENANT

What is the difference between the sabbath of the annual festival of the ceremonial laws of Moses and the Sabbath of God's 4th commandment.............

Let’s start with the ceremonial sabbaths contained in ordinances written in the Mosaic book of the law of Moses which were NOT part of the 10 Commandments but connected to New Moons and Annual fest days of the Old Covenant.

2 Chronicles 8
12,
Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,
13, Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

1. The ceremonial Sabbaths of the laws of Moses were special Sabbath and also uses a different Hebrew Word called meaning H7677 שׁבּתון shabbâthôn shab-baw-thone' From H7676; a sabbatism or special holiday: - rest, sabbath.

These sabbath
can fall on any day of the week and are only used in the annual Jewish festivals of Feasts of Trumpets (Lev 23:24) or Day of Atonement (Lev 23:32 or Feast of Booths (Lev 23:39). These feasts are NOT fulfilled but are Shadows of things to come Col 2 v17 (e.g. 2nd coming, close of probation and judgement and God's people saved from their temporary dwelling on earth to the earth made new) NOTE: Col v17, Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. It is NOT fulfilled and has NOT finished and IS to COME. These are temporary Shadow Sabbaths showing the plan of salvation.

As shown earlier part of the GREEK Word meaning for SABBATON which has 5 different meanings and is interpreted in the Greek according to its use within scripture can mean 1. the Sabbath (i.e. Shabbath).2. a day of weekly repose from secular avocations.3. the observance or institution itself.
4. (by extension) a week, i.e. the interval between two Sabbaths.5. likewise the plural in all the above applications.

So as PAUL’s application of “SABBATON” used in COL 2:16-17 is in reference to the OLD Covenant scriptures of the annual festivals written in the book of Moses. The GREEK Word “SABBATON” application can also be used to include the appointed days of Holy Convocation where God commanded no servile work was to be conducted. These days of Holy Convocation where included in 7 annual Jewish festivals included.

The days of Holy Convocation were [Sabbaton definition # 2] meaning to rest from secular avocations. No work were also to be conducted on these days. Both the appointed DAYS of HOLY CONVOCATION and the SPECIAL SABBATHS could fall on any day of the week according to the timing of each of the 7 annual festivals. So the Greek application of the word SABBATON can be used to refer to the 3 special Sabbaths from the Law of Moses (not God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment) which could fall on any day of the week from the Feasts of Trumpets, Day of Atonement or the Feast of Tabernacles.

2. God's 4th commandment Sabbath which is one of the 10 commandments (Exodus 20:8-11). The Hebrew word use here for Sabbath has a DIFFERENT Hebrew word used compared to the ceremonial Sabbath of H7677. The Hebrew Word used here is H7676 and means H7676 שַׁבָּת shabbath (shab-bawth') n-e.1. intermission, a period of temporary rest.2. (specifically) the Sabbath, the seventh day being the day of rest. [intensive from H7673]KJV: (+ every) sabbath. Root(s): H7673.

The root word comes from H7673 which comes from the creation week of Genesis 2:1-3 and means shabath (shaw-ɓath') v.to repose, i.e. to cease from exertion.KJV: (cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep (sabbath), suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away.

This is God's Sabbath it is a memorial of creation and part of a FINISHED WORK BEFORE SIN entered the WORLD. If it is part of a FINISHED work BEFORE SIN then it cannot be a part of the plan of salvation because it was BEFORE the fall of mankind. Just like all the other 10 commandments God's Word says they are FOREVER and the very standard of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS and the JUDGEMENT to come.

The Law of God (10 commandments) which includes the 4th commandment is the work of God (Exodus 32:16) whatsoever God does is FOREVER nothing can be added to it or taken away (Ecclesiastes 3:14)

That is the difference between the ceremonial special Sabbaths that are shadows of things to come written in ordinances in the book of Moses and God's 4th commandment which God's Word says is FOREVER.

Yes indeed there is a LOT of scripture that disagrees with you. God's LAW (10 commandments) are NOT the same as the Mosaic book of the law of Moses. This section does not even include the OP which further demonstrates the meaning of COL 2 linking both the OLD and NEW Testament scriptures.

Now please do not misunderstand the points being made here. This is a rebuttal on your interpretation of COL 2:16-17 showing that 1. You do not understand the OLD Covenant and 2. You have not considered at the within CHAPTER and SCRIPTURE CONTEXT. As a result you try and interpret the scripture to follow your traditions of Sunday worship and argue that this scripture says God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment to keep God’s 7[SUP]th[/SUP] Day Sabbath as a HOLY DAY is no more.

God’s Word does NOT agree with your interpretation of the scriptures in this regard. HOWEVER, is God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment a Shadow of things to come? GOD’S Word says God’s LAW (10 Commandments) of which the 4th Commandment is one of them is FOREVER and part of the FINISHED work of creation. It will be made renewed again however in the NEW earth. But this does not take place until AFTER the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] coming when there is a NEW HEAVEN and a NEW EARTH.

Isaiah 66
22, For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith Jehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23, And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, says Jehovah.

We are still living in the Shadow of what is to come in the NEW HEAVENS AND THE NEW EARTH which will be made at the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] Coming of Jesus and will continue to Keep God’s Sabbath as a perpetual covenant as God’s Word commanded.

I suggest you read the OP as you still have not addressed the OP or any of the scriptures in it that disagree with you.

…………………..

PART 5/6

When this passage is compared with Galatians 4:9 an obvious connection in Paul's teaching is revealed: "But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless elemental things, to which you desire to be enslaved all over again? You observe days and months and seasons and years." Verse 10 flatly states, "you observe...", days (weekly Sabbaths, corresponding to "Sabbath days in Col. 2)
Let’s pull you up right here. Your now quoting Galatians 4:9 and say that there is an obvious connection with COL 2 which I agree. What however is not biblical in what you have posted above is what you put in brackets which is your interpretation on what YOU believe the scripture is talking about.

You interpret this we are no longer required to obey God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment which disagrees with the rest of the bible and just as if you break any of the other Commandments of God you commit SIN and stand guilty before God (James 2:8-12).

PART 3 above already shows through the scriptures that COL 2 is in reference to the Mosaic Laws for remission of SINS; the special annual festival sabbaths and the days of Holy Convocations or annual gatherings where no work was to be conducted which are contained in the Mosaic book of the Covenant that is being referred to here because they were shadows of things to come.

Your section in brackets is a misinterpretation of the scriptures and lacks understanding of what the OLD Covenant is and leads you into SIN which will keep all who practice it out of God’s KINGDOM (1 John 3:3-10; Hebrews 10:26-27)

months (new moons, corresponding to "a new moon" in Col. 2)
seasons (the 7 feasts, corresponding to "festivals" in Col. 2) and years (the sabbatical year and the 50th year of Jubilee) Obviously Paul is clearing speaking about the observances of all Jewish holy days, including the weekly Sabbath.
Paul is indeed referring to the annual Jewish Holy days as shown in PART 3. He is NOT referring to breaking God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment. If that would be the case then don’t you think he would have lead by example and not kept God’s Sabbath? He was the Apostle to the gentiles after all was he not? Where has he written in any of the scriptures that God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now Commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

SDA's argue that the Sabbath Day of Colossians 2:16 is the years Sabbaths. But yearly Sabbaths were already referred to in Colossians 2:16 as "festivals". The "Year, Month, Week" pattern is so well established in the Old Testament, that Colossians 2:16 must refer to the weekly Sabbath.
Well that has no truth in it whatsoever, the word Holy days used in COL 2:16 G1859 ἑορτή heorte (he-or-tee') n.a feast (day) or festival. The word used here is COLLECTIVE of all 7 annual festivals of the Mosaic book of the Covenant. The GREEK word used in COL 2:16 for SABBATH(S) plural is SABBATON which has been shown already to refer to the 3 special Sabbaths of the Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles as well as all the special days HOLY Convocation where no work was to be conducted throughout the 7 annual festivals.

Yearly, monthly, weekly pattern proves it is the weekly sabbath
1 Chronicles 23:31 - Yearly (fixed festivals), monthly (new moons), weekly (Sabbaths)
2 Chronicles 2:4 - Yearly (appointed feasts), monthly (new moons), weekly (Sabbaths)
2 Chronicles 8:13 - Yearly (annual feasts), monthly (new moons), weekly (Sabbaths)
2 Chronicles 31:3 - Yearly (fixed festivals), monthly (new moons), weekly (Sabbaths)
Nehemiah 10:33 - Yearly (appointed times), monthly (new moon), weekly (Sabbaths)
Isaiah 1:13-14 - Yearly (appointed feasts), monthly (new moon), weekly (Sabbath)
Ezekiel 45:17 - Yearly (appointed feasts), monthly (new moons), weekly (Sabbaths)
Ezek 46:1-11 - Yearly (appointed feasts), monthly (new moons), weekly (Sabbath)
Hosea 2:11 - Yearly (festal assemblies), monthly (new moons), weekly (Sabbaths)
Galatians 4:10 - years, months, days
Colossians 2:16 - festival, new moon, Sabbath day
And this is where your problem continues. You interpret the above as meaning God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment written in God’s 10 Commandments. Yet COL 2:14 has already told us that it is referring to the Mosaic book of the Covenant and the annual Holy days referred to in the 7 annual festivals.

All of the above scriptures you have presented are in relation to the special Sabbaths (not God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment) and the days of Holy convocation connected with the 7 annual festivals where no work was to be conducted. These scriptures have no reference to God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment of God’s LAW which you mix up with the Mosaic book of the Covenant. (Please refer to the OP for all the scripture you have ignored as well as PARTS 1-3 of these posts)

PART 6/6

Sabbatarians often ask for one text in the Bible that commands Sunday worship and here it is: LEVITICUS 23:5-11 - Look at verse 11: "'And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord for you to be accepted; on the day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.'" The day after the Sabbath is Sunday. Read on specifically looking at Leviticus 23:15 - "'You shall also count for yourselves from the day after the sabbath, from the day when you brought in the sheaf of the wave offering; there shall be seven complete sabbaths. You shall count fifty days to the DAY AFTER THE SEVENTH SABBATH; then you shall present a new grain offering to the Lord.'" This is the Feast of Pentecost. It was one of the compulsory feasts of Israel.
And this is your scripture that says God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment is now abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day? Amazing. Good luck trying to tell this to God come judgement day.

Note on the day of Pentecost, a Sunday God's people were commanded to worship. God says, "On this same day you shall make a proclamation as well; you are to have a holy convocation. You shall do no laborious work. It is to be perpetual statute in all your dwelling places throughout your generations." Leviticus 23:21.
You do know that this day changes every year according to the annual Luna cycles? So how does your argument stack up now. Also where does it say God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment is now abolished and we are now Commanded to Keep Sunday as a Holy day?

If you think this is only applying to "ceremonial" days, Leviticus 23 starts out talking about the weekly Sabbath (see Leviticus 23:1-4). It is called an appointed time and a holy convocation, along with all the other feast days of Israel.
Of course God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment is included in the 7 annual Jewish festivals as many of these annual festivals went longer then 7 days. It is a Holy convocation meaning that it is an assembly of the believers.

No distinction is made by God between these holy days and the weekly Sabbath. He includes them as being equally holy. This would mean that under the Old Covenant the First Fruits Sunday and the Pentecost Sunday were as holy and sanctified as Saturday.
Well this is not true at all and only shows you do not understand the annual festivals and purposes of the 7 different annual festivals and their special Sabbaths and days of Holy Convocation which were NOT God’s 4[SUP]th[/SUP] Commandment and could fall on any day of the week. SABBATON used in the GREEK for SABBATH(S) plural of COL 2 is in reference to [SABBATON; meaning 4 resting from WORK; GNP plural] I suggest you read Leviticus 23 which describes in detail the purpose of each these days that could fall on any day of the week.

If you think this only applies to Israel, that's the point. The Ten Commandment Covenant, the Old Covenant was made with Israel, and NOT with the Gentiles.
Look at Exodus 31:13, 16 and 17: "But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'You shall surely observe My sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you....So the sons of Israel shall observe the sabbath, to celebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever.."
Yes indeed it applies to Israel but who are God’s Israel in the NEW COVENNAT?

Let's look at the scriptures.......

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He says not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, AND TO YOUR SEED, WHICH IS CHRIST (Galatians 3:16)

Abraham’s seed is Israel.........

THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: FOR YOU ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS AND IF YOU BE CHRISTS, THEN YOU ARE ABRAHAM'S SEED FOR YOU ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS and IF YOU BE CHRISTS, THEN ARE YOU ABRAHAM'S SEED, AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE (Galatians 3:28).

No explanation needed, believe God's Word, and again..........

FOR THEY ARE NOT ALL ISRAEL WHICH ARE OF ISRAEL,: NEITHER, BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SEED OF ABRAHAM, ARE THEY ALL CHILDREN: but in Isaac shall thy seed be called <Christ> That is, THEY WHICH ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE FLESH, THESE ARE NOT THE CHILDREN OF GOD: BUT THE CHILDREN OF THE PROMISE <those who believe> ARE COUNTED FOR THE SEED (Romans 9:6).

FOR HE IS NOT A JEW WHICH IS ONE OUTWARDLY; NEITHER IS THAT CIRCUMCISION, WHICH IS OUTWARDS IN THE FLESH: BUT HE IS A JEW WHICH IS ONE INWARDLY; and CIRCUMCISION IS OF THE HEART, IN THE SPIRIT, AND NOT IN THE LETTER; whose praise is not of men, but of God. (Romans 2:28-29)

GOD'S ISRAEL IN THE NEW COVENANT

Galatians 3:28-29,
THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Colossians 3:11,
WHERE THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Romans 10:11-13,
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. FOR THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JEW OR GREEK: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.

Romans 2:28-29,
FOR HE IS NOT A JEW WHICH IS ONE OUTWARDLY; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: BUT HE IS A JEW WHICH IS ONE INWARDLY ; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

The New Covenant is for God's Israel..........

Jeremiah 31:33-34,
BUT THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, says the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS,AND WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Hebrews 8:10-12,
BUT THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, says the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, AND WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Hebrews 10:14-17,
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord, I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR HEARTS, AND INTO THEOR MINDS WILL I WRITE THEM; and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Galatians 3:29,
AND IF YOU BE CHRISTS THEN YOU ARE ABRAHAMS SEED AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE.

The New Covenant is for God's Israel which represent those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God’s WORD. If you are not part of God's Israel you are not part of the New Covenant (Hebrews 8:10-12).

God's Israel are those that believe the Word of God and follow it and is why Jesus says If you love me keep my commandments (John 14:15)

My friend it is time to leave Sunday School and believe the Word of God. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us out to worship him in Spirit and in truth.

Your house has been built on sifting sand and as the scriptures show and GREAT has been the fall of it.

You teach against God’s LAW and the prophets. This is something Jesus and the apostles never did. Unless you REPENT from SIN and BELIEVE the Gospel there will be no place for you and those who follow you in God’s KINGDOM.

Practicing KNOWN SIN will keep all who reject God’s GIFT out of God’s KINGDOM and the proclamation will be announced DEPART from me you who work SIN I never KNEW you (Matthew 7:23; 1 John 3:3-10; 1 John 2:3-4; Hebrews 10:26-27)

……………….

Saturday or Sunday?

The Book of Revelation is a Jewish, anti-Roman text that comes to us from the first century. The Jewish Christ acts as the High Priest of the heavenly tabernacle, walking amidst seven golden lampstands (Rev. 1:10-13). He speaks a message of warning and encouragement to seven real assemblies struggling to be loyal to Israel’s God in Christ Jesus, while living as residents of an unapologetically pagan Roman Empire.

In one of the visions characteristic of Jewish apocalyptic tradition, John finds himself, “in the spirit on the Lord’s Day” (Rev. 1:10). In view of modern Sabbath-keeping controversies, many Christ-followers wonder whether it was the seventh or the first day of the Israelite week that John had in mind.

It is possible to interpret “the Lord’s Day” as either Sunday or Saturday as many godly people have done. While Sunday (1st day) and the Sabbath Day (7th day) are both possible interpretations, they are equally problematic for several reasons.

First, while the Sabbath Day does belong to the Lord, it is never called the “Lord’s Day” in the Holy Scriptures. Second, Sunday (the traditional day on which the resurrection of Jesus became public) was never referred to as the “Lord’s Day” either. I believe there is a third option – another possibility that should also be considered.

“The Lord’s Day” is none other than “The Day of the Lord” spoken of by the prophets of Israel (for example in Is. 2:12-22). According to Isaiah, this is the day when justice finally prevails as the God of Israel judges his enemies and rewards his children with peace and prosperity. Therefore, the phrase “I was in the spirit on the Lord’s Day” does not indicate the day of the week on which John saw his magnificent vision. Instead, it refers to a period in the future (both ours and John’s) when the righteous judgement of God is finally rendered and all of His promises are completely fulfilled.

Requires them for what? Ephesians 2:10 - For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus FOR/UNTO good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. We are saved FOR good works, NOT BY good works (Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9). You try to "shoe horn" obey the 10 commandments "into" salvation through faith but the shoe does not fit. Refusing to obey the Gospel by choosing to believe the gospel is a sign of the disobedient (Romans 1:16; 10:16).
Yet no one here has once said we are saved by good works. Now my friend if everyone here agrees we are not saved by good works and we are all in agreement then we have nothing to argue about have we? We are SAVED by GRACE through FAITH and NOT of OURSELVES it is a GIFT of God and NOT of WORKS lest any man should boast (Eph 2:8). Now if we have nothing to arue about here and we are in agreement then you have no argument now have you?

However, what you are conveniently leaving out is the reason God has given us GRACE. What is GRACE for?

Romans 1
5,
Through whom WE RECEIVED GRACE and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all the nations, for his name's sake;

Romans 3
31, DO WE THEN MAKE VOID THE LAW THROUGH FAITH? GOD FORBID
: nay, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW.

Romans 6
1,
What shall we say then? SHALL WE SIN SO GRACE SHALL ABOUND?
2, GOD FORBID. HOW SHALL WE WHO HAVE DIED TO SIN, LIVE ANY LONGER THEREIN?

1 John 3
6, Whosoever abides in him sins not
: whosoever sins has not seen him, neither known him.
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8, He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

So if your FAITH does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE, God's Word says you are still in your SINS because you have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son. If you do not repent and believe the Gospel God's Word says the wages of SIN is death (James 2:18; 20; 26; Romans 6:23). If your tree has no fruit it will be cast down and thrown into the fire (Matthew 7:12-23; Hebrews 10:26-31)

In regards to the 10 commandments, references for 9 of the 10 commandments under the Old Covenant are reiterated under the New Covenant, yet the command to keep the Sabbath day is not binding on Christians under the New Covenant.

1. You shall have no other gods before Me. - Acts 14:15
2. You shall make no idols. - 1 John 5:21
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. - James 5:12
4. Keep the Sabbath day holy. - Not binding on the Church - Colossians 2:16-17
5. Honor your father and your mother. - Ephesians 6:1-2
6. You shall not murder. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 John 3:15
7. You shall not commit adultery. - Romans 13:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
8. You shall not steal. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 4:28
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. - Romans 13:9-10; Colossians 3:9-10
10. You shall not covet. - Romans 13:9-10; Ephesians 5:3
Seems like you need to go back and read your bible again and stop posting the word of website over the Word of God. You certainly conveniently leave out a lot of scripture in order to hold on to your traditions which break the Commandments of God.

Let's look at the scriptures......

God's Law (10 commandments) repeated in the New Testament

1 You shall have no other gods before Me.
It is written: You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only you shall serve. (Luke 4:8; Matthew 4:10; Revelation 14:7)

2 You must not make for yourself a carved image, a likeness of anything in heaven, on earth, or under the sea.
God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. (John 4:24; Acts 15:20; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Ephesians 5:5; 1 Peter 4:3; 1 John 5:21; Revelation 2:14)

3 You shall not take the Name of the Lord your God in vain.
(1 Timothy 6:1, James 2:7)

4 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (What you left out)
The Sabbath [seventh day] was made for man, not man for the Sabbath, so the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath. (Mark 2:27-28, Hebrews 4; Matthew 12:8; Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56(Mark 2:28; Matthew 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24; 1 Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Revelations 1:10
Is binding on all mankind today COL 2:14-17 THE REAL TRUTH THREAD (Linked)

5 Honour your father and mother.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. (Ephesians 6:1; Colossians 3:20; Matthew 15:4; Matthew 19:19)

6 You shall not murder.
I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:44-45; Matt. 5:21-26; Romans 13:9; 1 Timothy 1:9; 1 John 3:15; James 2:11; Matthew 19:18)

7 You shall not commit adultery.
I say to you whoever even looks at another in lust has already committed adultery in their heart. (Matthew 5:28, 1 Cor. 5:11, 1 Cor. 6:18, Galatians 5:19, Hebrews 13:4, James 2:11, Matthew 19:19, Romans 13:9)

8 You shall not steal.
Neither thieves, the greedy, or drunkards and robbers will inherit the Kingdom. (1 Corinthians 6:10, Romans 2:21, Mark 7:21, Ephesians 4:28, Romans 13:9, Matthew 19:18)

9 You shall not bear false witness.
For by your words, you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned. (Matthew 15:19, Ephesians 4:25, Col. 3:9; Matthew 19:18, Romans 13:9)

10 You shall not covet your neighbours possessions.
Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist of the things he possesses. (Luke 12:15, Romans 7:7, Ephesians 5:3, 1 Tim. 6:10, Hebrews 13:5, Romans 13:9)

Yep seems God's Word is true. He that says I KNOW him and keeps NOT his COMMANDMENTS is a LIAR and the truth in not in him (1 John 2:3-4). Breaking any of God's Commandments and teaching others to do so will not be good for you come judgement day (Hebrews 10:26-31)

Salvation by "grace plus law, faith plus works" is a perverted Gospel. (Galatians 1:6-9; 2 Corinthians 4:3,4). You obviously are NOT aware that - "He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant — not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills...the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone...the ministry that condemns" (2 Corinthians 3:6-9).
The perverted Gospel is the one that teaches that breaking God's Commandments and SINNING will get you into God's KINGDOM when God's Word says the wages of SIN is death. The perverted Gospel is the one the denys the power of God's salvation from SIN and teached you can be saved while practicing SIN.

Theses are those spoken about in 2 Tim 3:5 "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

You my friend deny God's power to save a sinner from SIN. This is something Jesus and the Apostles never taught and if you continue will keep you out of God's KINGDOM. You do indeed deny him who is calling you. This is sad for you my friend, so sad, so sad.

……………….

It is possible to interpret “the Lord’s Day” as either Sunday or Saturday as many godly people have done. While Sunday (1st day) and the Sabbath Day (7th day) are both possible interpretations, they are equally problematic for several reasons.

First, while the Sabbath Day does belong to the Lord, it is never called the “Lord’s Day” in the Holy Scriptures. Second, Sunday (the traditional day on which the resurrection of Jesus became public) was never referred to as the “Lord’s Day” either. I believe there is a third option – another possibility that should also be considered..
Hi Endoscopy,

Nice to see you here.

Commenting on the highlighted section in RED above, and yet we read in the scriptures.......

Matthew 12
8,
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Here we have Jesus himself letting the world know that he is the LORD of the Sabbath day. (The Lord's Day)

You my friend make an assumption here that God's people did not KEEP God's 4th commandment BEFORE God's people left the land of Egypt.

Yet we see God's people KEEPING God's 4th Commandment BEFORE the 10 Commandments were given at Mt Sinai.

If there was no commandment given for them to KEEP God's 4th Commandment before Exodus 16 why are they now keeping God's 4th Commandment?

Your argument only argues against the logic you try to use here to try and say that God's 10 Commandments did not exist before they were given againt Mt Sinai despite God's people keeping God's 4th Commandment before in your view any Commandments were given.

Yet we read in the scriptures both God's Commandment and the laws for remission of SIN where indeed practiced BEFORE Exodus 16-20........

Genesis 26
5,
Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Genesis 5
24, And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Genesis 6
8, But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9, These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Commenting on your interpretation of God's Word. You quote Deuteronomy 5:12-15 from the book of the law of Moses and interpret it as you say in your own words

Yet this is not when the Sabbath was given is it? The very first verse you quoted you ignore

v12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.

Where did God Command his people to KEEP the Sabbath day and make it a HOLY DAY?

/QUOTE]

Yet we see God's people KEEPING God's 4th Commandment BEFORE the 10 Commandments were given at Mt Sinai.

You can NOT show even one verse where anyone was instructed to keep a Sabbath before the 10 commandments were given; because there is none.

I am not looking for a full page of verses that do not address the issue! I am looking for 1 verse [before Exodus 16] that specifically commands or instructs anyone to rest on the seventh day; or that specifically claims that they did so.

Gen 2:2 informs us that God rested on the 7th day and declared the 7th day holy.

NOWHERE is ANYONE commanded to keep the Sabbath befpre Exo 16. Since moses carried the tablets of stone down from the mountain, presumably the ten commandments were given earlier, even though they occur four chapters later.

I agree that the commandment was first given in Ex 20:8-11.

It is repeated in Dt 5:12-14; but Dt 5:15 is where God clearly explains to whom he was giving the commandment and why!

Deut 5:15
15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
KJV

You quote Deuteronomy 5:12-15 from the book of the law of Moses and interpret it as you say in your own words

Nowhere do I interpret anything in my own words! I cite the KJV. I could cite 20 other translations that say essentially the same thing.

Hello MarcR,

Thinking that God's Sabbath was not kept before Exodus 16 is a presumption that has no basis in scripture. There is more scripture supporting the existence of all of God's laws being practiced(10 Commandments and Mosaic Sin offerings) BEFORE Sinai in Exodus 20 then the theory that they only appeard at Sinai. Let's have a look at the scriptures.....

GODS COMMANDMENTS BEFORE EXODUS 20

Genesis 26
5,
Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Genesis 5
24, And Enoch walked with God:
and he was not; for God took him.

Genesis 6
8,
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9, These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

God destroys mankind because of sin......

Genesis 6
5,
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only EVIL CONTINUALLY.
6, And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7, And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8, But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

What are these CONTINUAL EVIL THOUGHTS?

Matthew 15
19,
For out of the heart proceed EVIL THOUGHTS, MURDERS, ADULTERIES, FORNICATION, THEFTS, FALSE WITNESS, BLASPHEMIES
20, These are the things which defile a man:

Evil is breaking God's Commandments in thought and actions.

Cain was punished by God for Murder......

Genesis 4
8,
And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
9, And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
10, And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
11, And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
12, When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
13, And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

links to....

1 John 3
12,
Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
13, Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14, We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
15, Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

The Mosaic laws for remission of sin (SACRIFICIAL SIN OFFERINGS) were also practiced BEFORE Sinai....

Genesis 4
4,
And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering.

Genesis 8
20,
And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar

SIN is the transgression of God's LAW (10 Commandments) please read Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and James 2:11. God's LAW gives us a KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS (Romans 3:20) SIN offereings were only practiced in the OLD Covenant for the remission or forgiveness of SIN (Breaking God's 10 Commandments) If God's people did not have God's LAW why are they offering SIN offereings to God if these laws were only known about in Mt Sinai?

Abraham and his son practiced and knew about sin offerings...

Genesis 22
7,
And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8, And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

Exodus 10
25,
And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.

Yep once again before Sinai...

LETS LOOK NOW SPECIFICALLY AT THE 4th COMMANDMENT SABBATH

The Sabbath was also kept by our first parents and also others BEFORE Sinai. The reason God gave the 10 Commandments again was being His people had been slaves in Egypt for 430 years (Exodus 12:40). God delivered his people from Egypt (the World) and needed to re-teach them his ways which were mostly forgotten by this time.

So yep God's LAW and the laws for remission of sin and burnt offerings of the OLD Covenant were indeed practiced BEFORE Sinai.

The Sabbath was made at the 7th Day of the creation week and given to Adam and Eve. Let's look at the scriptures........

Genesis 2
1,
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2, And ON THE SEVENTH DAY God ended his work which he had made; and he RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY from all his work which he had made.
3, And GOD BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY, and made it HOLY <the 7th day>: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

RESTEDH7673שָׁבַת shabath (shaw-ɓath') v.to repose, i.e. to cease from exertion.
{used in many implied relations (causative, figurative or specific)}[a primitive root]KJV: (cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep Sabbath, suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away. Some points to note from the scriptures...............

v1 God completed creation in 6 days and RESTED on the 7TH DAY
v2 God RESTED on the 7TH DAY
v3 God SET APART the 7TH DAY and made THE 7TH DAY a HOLY DAY
v2 The 7TH DAY is part of the FINISHED WORK of the CREATION WEEKLet's now look at God's 4th commandment............

Exodus 20
8,
Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
9, Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
10, But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
11, For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested theSEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

SABBATH H7676 שַׁבָּת shabbath (shab-bawth') n-e. 1. intermission, a period of temporary rest.2. (specifically) the Sabbath, the seventh day being the day of rest.[intensive from H7673]KJV: (+ every) Sabbath. Root(s): H7673Now who did God make the 7th day a Holy day for? Is he making that day a Holy day for himself? Of course NOT God is already Holy. He has made the day for MANKIND as a HOLY DAY.

Let’s see what Jesus says…………

Mark 2
27,
And he said unto them, THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN, and not man for the Sabbath.
The Sabbath was made for WHO? The Sabbath was made for MAN. So here we have the God of creation telling us why the 7th Day was made a Holy day. It was made for MANKIND

STRONGS Greek MAN G444 ἄνθρωποςanthropos (an'-thrō-pos) n.
1. (literally) man†-visage (i.e. a man-faced being, a man who has visibly come of age).
2. (concretely, in Hebrew) a clay being (a classification of beings made in the image of God, who made them male and female). 3. (generically, in English) a human being. 4. (indefinitely) a certain man (i.e. someone).
[from G435 and ops “the countenance” (from G3700)] KJV: certain, man Root(s): G435, G3700

So the Sabbath was made for Human beings; clay beings (we are made out of the dust); male and female

So God made the 7th day of the week a HOLY day and blessed it for MAN this now ties in very nicely with the 4th commandment (Exodus 20:8-11) God says that it is a specific day which is the 7TH DAY OF THE WEEK that he has made to be a HOLY DAY.

Jesus says it was made Holy in the creation week for mankind. All scriptures connect and are in harmony. Genesis where God made the Day a HOLY DAY;

God’s 4th commandment to His people that says to REMEMBER the Sabbath day to KEEP it a HOLY DAY and Jesus stating that the Sabbath was made for MANKIND (Human beings; male and female).

Now if God made the Sabbath for mankind then obviously Adam and Eve had the Sabbath the GREEK Word for MAN G444 ἄνθρωποςanthropos (an'-thrō-pos) n. is a clay being(a classification of beings made in the image of God, who made them male and female). There is only two people made out of clay (dust) and that is Adam and Eve.

Yep God's Sabbath given to mankind in the Garden of Eden and made in the Creation WEEK. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE it. Those that do not BELIEVE God's Word are UNBELIVERS and UNBELIEVERS have no part in God's Kingdom.

Now I have taken some time to address all of your posts. Please if you disagree please state your case and your scriptures? Simply ignoring my posts does not make the scriptures go away that disagree with you.

...............

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

NONE of the verses you cluttered the page with specifically mention either the sabbath or the 10 commandments.

Abraham was specifically commanded or instructed to do many things and he obeyed all of them.

Your saying so is not at all convincing! You can't find 1 scripture that says so and you know it!

Your entire post is nothing but deception and mis-direction.

And yet it is Jesus that says it....

Mark 2
27,
And he said unto them, THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN, and not man for the sabbath:
28, Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

It seems the presumption is only on your part.

So in your view Jesus is lying when he says that the SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN? Good luck trying to say that the Creator come judgement day.

.................

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Where do you see anything about WHEN the Sabbath was given in the verses cited?

There is NO indication that Sabbath keeping was instructed or commanded before Exo 16.

Again this is deception and mis-direction!!!

MarcR,
re: "Why did you NOT quote the verse accurately?"

I quoted it exactly as it was written.
In which translation?

Your saying so doesn't make it true even if you believe it!

JESUS CAME TO FULFIL THE LAW:
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
(NOTE: Anyone claiming the law is still in effect. Is claiming Christ failed at his mission)
What you seem to be doing here is leaving out lots of scripture that disagrees with your interpretation of the scriptures. Next verses...

Matthew 5
18,
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19, Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

(NOTE: v18 Has HEAVEN AND EARTH PASED AWAY? Nope last time I looked I was still standing on it. Now v19 are you not breaking God's Commandments and teaching others to do so?)

WILL OF THE FATHER:
Matt 7:21 Jesus said; Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Your leaving out the very next verses again that disagree with what you are teaching. Let's add them in....

Matthew 7
21,
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22,
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23, And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU DEPART FROM ME YOU WHO WORK SIN (INIQUITY)

These are those who have a FORM of GODLINESS but DENY GOD'S POWER to save them from SIN (2 TIM 3:5)

Those above in Matthew 7 believed that they KNOW GOD but Jesus says they did NOT KNOW God.

HOW THEN DO WE KNOW IF WE KNOW GOD?

1 John 2
3,
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

(NOTE: Those that practice SIN and break God's Commandments and teach others to do the same Do NOT KNOW God. It is God's Word that says these people are liars because they are practicing SIN and teaching others to do the same.)

Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
(NOTE: Just as the Law of Lift, supersedes the Law of Gravity. The Law of Faith (Rom 3:27) supersedes the Law of Work
(NOTE: This scripture does not say God's LAW is ABOLISHED which is how you interpret it otherwise we would have no KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is and it can not be written in the heart by FAITH to LOVE (Romand 3:20; Romans 13:8-10; Romans 8:1-4). God's LAW (10 Commandments) is what leads the SINNER to the Savior that we might be justified by FAITH (Galatians 3:24-25)

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Rom 10:5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. (NOTE: Live by the law, DIE by the law) Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. (NOTE: To sabbatarians, scripture proclaims, you are fallen from grace)

If your tree has no FRUIT it will be cast down and thrown into the FIRE (Matthew 7:12-23; Hebrew 10:26-27) and the wages of SIN is death (Romans 6:23)

The perversion of the Gospel is the one having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof (2Tim 3:5). It is SIN that will keep all who PRACTICE it OUT of God’s KINGDOM.

(NOTE to those still of you who are still in your SINS and teaching others to do the same. Those who practice KNOWN SIN will NOT enter into God's KINGDOM; The hour of God's Judgement has come REPENT and BELEIVE the GOSPEL. Tomorrow may be too late).

.................

Hello MarcR, you are a funny one.

You have not adressed any of the post and scriptures I have sent you. All you have said is that you disagree with it. Please state your reason and adress the posts and the scriptures in them. Sadly it seems you are not able to. This is sad for you my friend.

My early post to you demonstrated that you are presuming that God's LAW was not practiced before Exodus 16 I showed you in that post that it was practices not only God's 10 Commandments but also the sacrificial laws for burnt offereings for SIN. You do know that SIN is the breaking of God's LAW right?

It is even hard to follow what it is your posts are saying when you mix up what I am saying and what your saying throughout your post. All you have done is pulled little sections out of my posts and told me you don't agree with it.

This is ok you do not have to disagree with the scriptures I have provided. It is between you and God what you believe I do not judge you. I am happy to adress your posts but you have proviced no scripture and simply say you do not agree?

So its fine you are free to believe what you like. You will get a better response however if you can post in a way that is understandable and easy to follow.

Where do you see anything about WHEN the Sabbath was given in the verses cited? There is NO indication that Sabbath keeping was instructed or commanded before Exo 16. Again this is deception and mis-direction!!!
There is no presumption my side my friend the post was directed at your presumption in thinking that God's LAW and SIN did not exist before Exodus 16 as the scripture in my post show.

It is very clear in Genesis 2 that is where God's Sabbath was made and it is very clear in Mark 2:27-28 that Jesus made it for Mankind.

So in your view God is lying when he said that Sabbath was made for mankind?

In your view God is lying when he said he made the Sabbath on the 7th Day of the creation week (Genesis 2:1-3)?

11, And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

Jesus says it was made Holy in the creation week for mankind. All scriptures connect and are in harmony. Genesis where God made the Day a HOLY DAY;

The reason why the above post was written for you was to show you that it was presumption on your part to claim that God's Commandments were not a requirement BEFORE Sinai or in regards to the Sabbath before Exodus 16. It is through God's LAW (10 Commandments) that we have a KNOWLEDGE of SIN.

If God's LAW was NO knoen BEFORE Exodus 20 or Sinai how did God's people know about God's Sabbath in Exodus 16?

How did they know about SIN offererings since the begining of Genesis?

How did they KNOW what SIN was?

Why was the world and Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed because of SIN if they did NOT KNOW what SIN was?

Thats what the above scriptures show that you close your eyes to.

NONE of the verses you cluttered the page with specifically mention either the sabbath or the 10 commandments.

Abraham was specifically commanded or instructed to do many things and he obeyed all of them.
And yet God's Word disagress with you and says that Abraham kept all God's LAW'S. Not only did he keep God's LAWs but he also offered burnt offerings for SIN which even his SON knew about?

Funny that how they knew what SIN was yet in your view they did not KNOW about God's LAW or what SIN was dont you think?

Presumption is a funny thing to those that claim they see but do not see that the presuption lays in their own house which is being built on sifting sand.

The presumption on your part is thinking it is ok to SIN and you will be still able to enter into God's KINGDOM when God says those that teach and do such things do not KNOW him and will not enter into his KINGDOM. To these he says; DEPART from me I never knew you.

……………….
