Just bought two books from Lifeway Store and can't wait to read them! They are both books on prayer and I would like to grow more in this area especially since I've found out that it was one of my spiritual gifts. In fact, I had done a spiritual gifts test last year and found out that my top 3 spiritual gifts are "Teaching", "Intercessory Prayer", and "Serving". Now, what's weird about this is that I've been told by several people that I should be a teacher, especially after giving a few speeches at my Toastmasters club. I was also accepted, after filling out an application into a non-profit organization known as NROTC to help out in raising donations for U.S. veterans. Funny thing is, my uncle was a US marine and my great-grandfather on my dad's side was a World War I veteran, I believe. So, I just thought about all that and figured, well I should want to contribute in any way that I can due to the sacrifice of our veterans and the fact that I had veterans in my family! And now, I am also trying to grow in my prayer life... Looks like God is really knitting together my purpose right there!

This is all great stuff.

Just check out the NROTC a bit before giving a donation. Where I come from, that stands for Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. I've never heard of it described as a non-profit, that raises money for veterans charities. NROTC is under the US Navy's CNET command.... naval education and training. They operate in Colleges to train naval and Marine officers. It is a wholly military organization, and the students are in the Navy for all intents and purposes. I have never heard of it being used to collect money for charity. Just be safe.
