The instructions, in Hebrew, were given only to the Jews, (Moses) including instructions on how they treated other nations. However the New Testament writers broadened it out to include all nations. Neither were gentiles expected to follow Jewish law as your three N.T scriptures show. In other words, as far as salvation is concerned, the law is useless, zilch, finished.

That is certainly what the serpent convinced Eve of.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life in behalf of his friends. And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.
(Joh 15:13; Exo 32:31-32)
And who was it who made a golden Cherubim, Seraphim, and a brazen serpent?

Col. 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

And if I might add The LORD YHWH commanded their destruction not Moses.

But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; according as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:
(Deu 20:17 EWB-CB)
That was probably this LORD.

"5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD.” 6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry."

you put an anti- Most High spin on everything. you continually deny the fact they and other nations were seeking to destroy every Israylite, this satan's plan so the Messiah born of Dawid could never be born, thanks to Yah He is mighty and not cowardly.

Psalms 2:1-12, "2:1, "Why do the nations rage, And the peoples meditate emptiness? (Mat 4:25-26. See also Dan 2:44, Dan 7:13-28, Hag 2:22, Zec 14:9 and Rev 11:15) The sovereigns of the earth take their stand, And the rulers take counsel together, Against יהוה and against His Messiah, and say, Let us tear apart Their bonds, And throw away Their ropes from us.”"2:4, " He who is sitting in the heavens laughs, יהוה mocks at them. Then He speaks to them in His wrath, And troubles them in His rage, saying,"2:6, "“ But I, I have set My Sovereign on Tsiyon, My set-apart mountain. I inscribe for a law: יהוה has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have brought You forth. Ask of Me, and I make the nations Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth Your possession. Break them with a rod of iron, Dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel. And now, be wise, O sovereigns; Be instructed, you rulers of the earth. Serve יהוה with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son lest He be enraged, And you perish in the way, For soon His wrath is to be kindled. Blessed are all those taking refuge in Him.”
Just as God brought them out of Egypt using plagues and the Red Sea, God could have destroyed the Canaanites in similar manner. Remember the flood and Sodom and Gomorrah. God does not want or need us to do His work, otherwise he is condemning us to Hell. Vengeance is MINE saith the Lord.

It wasn't the creator that made the Cherubim and Seraphim above the Mercy Seat, neither did God make the brazen serpent. This is Pagan, idol worshipping, Israel we are talking about here.

You pick and choose, Moses lifted his staff at the parting of the Rees Sea, by the power of YHWH a miracle happened. He was commanded by YHWH. YHWH commanded the bronze nacash be built when it became an idol it was destroyed, yet by the power of YHWH people were healed.

At times YHWH fought the battle for the ISraylites and at times He told them they had to fight.

So you are saying God gave the 6th commandment that says not to murder, and then the same God told them to do what he had just told them not to do. NO.

Yes

thank you

perhaps you are not aware that Studyman's position is that Colossians 2 says exactly the opposite of what it really says?
Studyman says here Paul is telling us that we are commanded to keep and in fact to judge one another over observing feast days, sabbath days and new moon festival.

he focuses only on sabbath however, and though i've been asking plainly and pointedly for several moons now, he won't tell me how i'm supposed to observe new moon festivals.

the others here, they point at Isaiah 66:23 and say "see? sabbath is mentioned, so you must keep sabbath ((or else!!))" -- but this same verse says new moon festival too, and they are silent on that issue.

if these things argue that sabbath is commanded and we - faith in Christ not being sufficient - will go to hell if we don't ritually, physically observe it, then the exact same arguments also say we must keep new moon festivals or meet the same fate, again, the atonement of Christ's shed blood not making any difference. ((according to their 'gospel'))

so, for what, 3 months now? more? i've been trying to get help from them on what i should do to be saved - which, in their gospel ((which is no gospel at all)), translates to how do i observe new moon festival? and others have been asking them, how do i observe sabbath?

they don't answer; they don't lift a finger to help with the burden they place on my back by their 'knowledge'
-- but you have answered me with comfort and truth. thank you :)
Matthew 18:20
Jesus doesn't put a restriction on what day of the week when 2 or more gather in his name now does he?
He doesn't say that only on the Sabbath does this work. So why are people trying to put me back under Mosaic Law?

Rom. 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

1 Cor. 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

There is a perfect reason why you are so confused. Paul spells it out for those who understand He is greater than men.

Rom. 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

You exalt yourself as the judge of God and His Word. This behavior is as old as mankind itself and He says if you want to play God, you are free to do so.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

In a similar manner to Pharaoh, whose mind was made up, so God hardened his heart.

So it was with the unrighteous who God also gave up: "In His righteous wrath and judgment, God gives man up to the sin our evil hearts desire, allowing us to experience the self-destructive result of sin. This phrase is so important Paul repeats it three times in this passage." (David Guzik)

i. Hos_4:17 expresses the judgmental aspects of God “giving us up,” leaving us to our own sin:

Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone. (Hos 4:17 KJV)

For God to 'give up' on people means they are beyond redemption.

Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Mark 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.

You are free to reject what Jesus created for you.

Green:
The "perfect reason" is that they were wicked and they turned to other gods. When they followed the true God they prospered, but unfortunately they turned away from the true God and followed other gods. When they fell away and disobeyed the commandments of the true God, wickedness set in, as is well recorded particularly in Leviticus.

So, you wouldn't want the AOG pastor/evangelist to be preaching about the wickedness of the Israelites would you?

Mind you, it might make a good "Hell Fire" sermon.

This AOG preacher, like the wicked kings of Israel, and the Pharisees, and the serpent, and "Many" who come in Christ's name today, all preach the same things.

And that is, God isn't worthy of their respect to be listened to unless His Word's can be twisted to support their man made religious lifestyle and traditions.

And I would love if todays preachers would teach about Caleb, Abraham, Noah, Sampson, Daniel. But sadly, these people represent the opposite of their religious belief. Instead they cherry pick scripture and twist them to paint the God of Abraham in a bad light. And push a doctrine which excludes God's Instructions. This tactic is as old as Eve. The Great God of Abraham gives us all the warning we need in His Word to avoid the deception that comes with this preaching. Sadly, if a person doesn't really believe in God's Word, these warning have little benefit.

So sweep their disobedience and the consequences of sin under the carpet.

People need to hear the full Gospel, or they won't realise their need for Christ. By the way, the Assemblies of God, do preach about those things you speak of. I used to take scripture exams in all those subjects as a child, in a very similar church to the AOG.

Hebrew 7:12-19
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
yep, sabbath is old priesthood. SDA make a mistake

You are one mixed up puppy my friend. Where in all of God's Word does it say God's 4th Commandment is ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

SIN is breaking ANY of God's 10 Commandments. (James 2:8-12)

All those who KNOWINGLY break any of God's 10 Commandments and are do not seek Jesus in REPENTANCE and FORGIVENESS. Will NOT enter into God's KINGDOM....

Hebrews 10
26,
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28, He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29, Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite to the Spirit of grace?
30, For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, said the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31, It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

These are God's Words not mine and yours to choose to BELIEVE or NOT BELIEVE. UNBELIVERS however have NO part in God's KINGDOM.

..................

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

Hi loveforgod,

I would have thought after 224 pages you would have realised that no one is saying we are commanded to observe Sunday? Where do you get that from? heres what you keep (falsely) stating:-

You are one mixed up puppy my friend. Where in all of God's Word does it say God's 4th Commandment is ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?

Once you realise this is a false assumption you may actually learn something and realise what people are actually saying to you!
