Assyria invaded Israel for a second time in 701 BC. The Assyrian army made it all the way into southern Israel just outside the city limits of Jerusalem and was led by King Sennacherib. You can read about it in Isaiah 36 & 37. The narrative speaks of the 701 BC invasion but also prophecies end time events. Isaiah 10 is another good chapter concerning Assyria which speaks of contemporary events interwoven with future prophecy.
