He says the truth & you & your buddies mock him.

This is forAhwatukee:

Psalm 119
49 Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.50 My comfort in my suffering is this:Your promise preserves my life. 51 The arrogant mock me unmercifully, but I do not turn from your law.52 I remember, Lord, your ancient laws, and I find comfort in them.
Thank you brother for your support and for also contending for the truth. I would also add the following which is synonymous with your post:

"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and celebrate, because great is your reward in heaven; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you."

I'm just one, like you and others, who contend for the truth of God's word.

Typical.
Go post where I indicated that it does not say that their lamps were going out or be found the false accuser that ALL see you to be.....I simply pointed out that what he had said about not taking oil was valid.....it is obvious who leads you.......and it is not whom you portray..

I have 5 different Bible translations and each says "they took no oil."
None say "for our lamps are going out".
I guess if you search long enough, you can find a translation that proofs what you believe.
Somebody hasn't been understanding their Bible.

Matthew 25 1“Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2“Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. 3“For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. 5“Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. 6“But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. 8“The foolish said to the prudent, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

Exegesis at its finest.

New International Version
The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.'

New Living Translation
Then the five foolish ones asked the others, 'Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.'

English Standard Version
And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

Berean Study Bible
The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.'

Berean Literal Bible
And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'

New American Standard Bible
"The foolish said to the prudent, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'

I think somebody's pants are on fire.

Thank you for showing everybody that you & your "likers" don't know what they're talking about.

It's not about truth with you guys.

Quite sinister, actually.

Lets see what the total passage says, instead of cheery picking things.

Matt 25:1-12

“Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. [SUP]3 [/SUP]For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, [SUP]4 [/SUP]but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. Come out to meet him.’ [SUP]7 [/SUP]Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps.[SUP]8 [/SUP]The foolish said to the prudent, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ [SUP]9 [/SUP]But the prudent answered, ‘No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’ [SUP]10 [/SUP]And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ [SUP]12 [/SUP]But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’ [SUP]13 [/SUP]Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.

Now what are you saying, the foolish had oil?

Hello Valleyofdecision,

A. the USA is immune from the GT,
The church world-wide is immune from the GT, and that because the GT is God's tribulation, His time of wrath. And since the church is not appointed to suffer God's wrath and Jesus said that he would rescue us from God's wrath, then we must be removed prior the first seal being opened, which is what initiates God's wrath.

B. That God will save us from any persecution or tribulation
One of the major errors regarding end-time events, is expositors not recognizing the difference between the common trials and tribulations that Jesus said believers would encounter vs. God's coming, unprecedented wrath.

Since the on-set of the church until now, believers have been suffering those trials and tribulations. Once the church has been gathered, then God's wrath will be in operation, and that is what the church is not to suffer. There will however be those who come to Christ after the gathering of the church who will be exposed to God's wrath and this because they will have become believers after the gathering of the church.

God's wrath and the tribulation are 2 very different things and that is where you miss it at.

When the beast technology called crypto currency destroys/replaces the World wide banking system and you must receive a implant to buy or sell and Jesus has not returned yet, and bread costs you a day wages, because of famine and Jesus has still not came back, you will remember this post.

Hello iamsoandso,

The GT is Gods tribulation/wrath against those who do or did what?
"Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place."

So, in Dan.9:24, seventy 'sevens' i.e. seventy sets of seven years, were decreed upon your people (Israel) and your holy city (Jerusalem) and the following is the answer to your question:

To finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

Out of those Seventy sets of seven years, seven sets of seven (49 yrs) were completed with the rebuilding of Jerusalem. Followed by sixty two sevens (434 years) with the Messiah being cut of. That fulfilled sixty nine sets of seventy sets of sevens that God had decreed upon Israel and Jerusalem. What remains is that last set of seven years.

When the Messiah was cut off/crucified at the end of the sixty nine sevens, the Lord paused that last seven years and began to build his church, which is still in the process of being built. After the church has been completed, the Lord will descend from heaven and gather his church taking them back to the Father's house according to His promise in John 14:1-3 and 1 Thes.4:13-18. At that time, God will then pick up right where He left of in fulfillment of that last seven years, with the antichrist establishing a seven year agreement with Israel, allowing them to build their temple.

Therefore, that last seven years, which is quickly approaching, will fulfill the following:

"to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place."

The last 3 1/2 years of that seven year period is referred to as the great tribulation (Matt.24:15-22), which is when the antichrist causes the sacrifices and offerings to cease, sets up that abomination and stands in the temple proclaiming to be God. This is what causes the desolation or emptying of Jerusalem. The entire seven years will come to its end when Jesus returns after God's wrath has been completed, which is shortly after the 7th bowl is poured out.

During that seven years, God will also be pouring out his wrath upon the entire world in the form of the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments, decimating the majority of earth's population and dismantling all human government.

I hope this answers your question brother.

Thank you for answering brother I will remember this post #351 and refer back to it later with the questions I have.

In what you said at the end of the 5th paragraph you said that the Antichrist would establish an "agreement" and then allow them to build the temple. This is one of the things you said that is confusing to me in that Paul said that he would sit in the temple and show that he himself as God and that it was what was one of the things that would take place first (2 Thessalonian 2:3...ect.) and so I would think as though he would come and sit in the temple and claim to be God before and not after as you say.

The foolish virgins are those who profess to be christians, but they haven't actually been born of the Spirit. Outwardly they look the part, but there's been no inner change. In every church congregation you have a mix of believers and non believers, some of which will leave it too late to be saved, and the door to the Ark will at some point close. (Yes, the world is made up of both wheat and tares, but this particular scripture is addressing the tares within the church congregation)

For me, V11-12 confirms this fact: "Afterward the other (*foolish*) virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But He answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

It says He does not know them, so they were never His. Notice He emphasizes the fact they call Him Lord... something that those in the christian world do, but He was never truly their Lord.

And then compare this scripture to this lost group mentioned here on judgment day, who professed to be christians but were never saved, and here they are trusting in their works...

Matthew 7:21-23: "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"

Simply read down a verse or two and Our Lord interprets for you. They were not watching!in otherwords their attention had turned from the Lord to other things, Probably Social things.

Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The assumption that it was/is some anti-christ that confirms the covenant is a theological invention - the confirming of the covenant is most likely Christ that is being spoken of:

Rom 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers.

Thats confusing,,,do you mean that Jesus is who sits in the temple and claims to be God like Paul is referring to in 2 Thessalonian 2...?

No, actually someone biblical believes what I have posted.....there is neither JEW nor GENTILE under the NEW Covenant....and your whole premise above is wrong...The LAW and the PROPHETS were UNTIL JOHN.....from that time the Kingdom of GOD is proclaimed and ALL MEN are pressed into it......

You really need to spend time in prayer and study.....your missing the mark!

and you sir are in the replacement theology Gambit. That does not work for me.....No since in arguing any further.

But to give others who read this post, I will give them a 2nd version....

The Law ----- Crucifixion of Christ ---- Age of Grace or Age of the Church ----- Removal of the Church (Body of Christ) ----Jacob's Troubles or Daniel's 70th week------2nd Advent of Jesus Christ & (Millennium)----- White Throne Judgement --- New Earth and New Jerusalem.

Where are we at.... Somewhere toward the end of the 'Age of the Church'.

Lucy-Pevensie made another point that you have seemed to have missed.
All 10 virgins had fallen asleep and had to be woke up.
So one might say that none were watching.

I am sorry you do not get this Biblical definition of Watching for Christ....

A hint: You can watch even if you are Blind.
