Is this verse in revelation the only book that talks about the fall of Satan and his angels?

Revelation 12:4 (NIV)
4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.

I am curious because this verse would be referring to the past, not the present or the future. But where does it say this verse is something that happened in the past.

Actually here are the other scriptures regarding Satan's actual fall:

You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared.


You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you.

Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. "How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”


But you are brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit.

Revelation 12 is definitely regarding the future event of the 7th trumpet, which takes place after the 5th and 6th trumpet. I haven't seen any demonic beings stinging the inhabitants of the earth, nor have I seen a third of the earth killed by those four angels, have you? Therefore, until we see the events which proceed the 7th trumpet, it could not have yet happened.

The book of Revelation was written circa 95 AD, and so all the events would be from and after 95 AD.
Additional confirmation comes in Revelation 4:1 when the Lord calls John up to heaven and tells him the events he is about to be shown throughout the rest of the book of Revelation regard the hereafter.

Revelation 4:1 [FONT=&quot]After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and[/FONT][FONT=&quot] I will shew thee things which must be hereafter[/FONT][FONT=&quot].[/FONT]

Jesus says he saw it happen so it's in the past.

Luke 10:18 Jesus says, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”


Jesus was the child born in Revelation 12

The Lord also saw that not one single stone of the Temple would stand atop another.

Hello Ariel,

Jesus was speaking about Satan's original fall, not the war which takes place during the great tribulation where he and his angels are thrown out. Satan and his angels being thrown out of heaven and restricted to the earth is the result of the 7th trumpet. Therefore, in order for that to have taken place, the world would have had to have seen trumpets 5 and 6 as well, and I haven't seen any demonic beings that look like locusts torment the inhabitants of the earth with stings like that of a scorpion, have you? He gets kicked out in the middle of that last seven years.

He used future tense when talking about that event and past tense when talking about Satan falling, so I am not sure how you can make the comparison.

"Will be" is different than " I SAW"

Matthew 24v2
"Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down

I don't agree with most folks on the forum because I hold a Amillenist understanding of it.

I believe that Jesus rules now from Heaven and that Satan has been cast out of heaven and now roams the Earth seeking whom he might devour.

However Satan and his demons or fallen angels know their time is short. They know JESUS can return any day and seek how many souls they can drag into the fiery pit with them.

We are currently in an unseen by most spiritual war. Yet God has given us armour to guard ourselves, an angelic protection detail and specialised tasks in the war efforts.

I pray that He reveal you yours and that you keep strong your faith.

Did the Lord not also tell the Pharisees: "Before Abraham was, I am"?
Jesus, the Word, who was with the Father from the beginning.
Maybe, He's seen something or two in the future.

John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
 
Jesus knows the future.

However that doesn't change the fact he said Satan's fall from from Heaven was in the Past after the 70 came back from healing folks and casting out demons.

Folks rejected Jesus because they said Elijah had to come first, not realising who John the Baptist was.

This generation chooses to be just as blind for they say they see and don't ask God to show them if what they see is truth or demonic deceptions.
 
When Jesus saw Satan fall as lightening it was because Satan came down as fast as he could to try and deal with the expedient multiplication of Jesus’ earthly ministry given to his apostles and then also other disciples.

When Satan and his wicked angels were cast out of heaven as the red dragon it was because Jesus of Nazareth had ascended into heaven, placed his blood on the altar of God, thus ending all legal debate concerning God’s worthiness to be God, to redeem mankind, cleanse the temple, take the book out of his Father’s hand, ascend the most high throne of God and sitting down on the right hand of God.
It was then that open warfare in heaven began, and Michael was authorized to throw the bums out of heaven.
 
It says that he took a 3rd of the stars, stars could mean anything. Is there any other verses in the bible that talk about the fall of Satan's angels as well.

Did Satan fall when Jesus showed up, or in the garden of Eden, or is Jesus saying that before he came to earth he already saw Satan fall.

I have the same idea, but I am stuck on working out where the fall of Satan's angels come into it.
