I would day that I lean to dominion.

Jesus has lifted us up to heavenly places in His body. There's a lot to understand in this scripture, including me.

So we are on the earth, filled with the Light of the world. Jesus. Members of His body being baptized into Him. What are we supposed to do? Overcome? Or be overcome?

This may be my last post here. Am considering whether my time here is over or not. As I said elsewhere, lots going on with us as a couple, and we don't want to miss a thing.

love to you all.

#1 if God places His angels around us and tells Satan He isn't allowed to attack our fanily, finances, or health..,,there is no way Satan could win against God's power and might. Therefore Satan has to wait for us to walk past God's protection to attack us.

#2 God sends angels only to protect our souls and the Holy Spirit to lead us from our sins and save us from the Pit and death of the soul..,,,the rest is hay and stubble.

#3 our health is promises in the Resurrected bodies, not these temporal tents that will return to ashes they came from.

#4 our wealth is stored in Heaven and is not hold or silver of this world or money stamped with the faces of Caesar or dead presidents....it is when we show God's love to others. When we feed the poor. When we clothe the naked. When we visit orphans and widows. When we visit prisoners, when we glorify God even if we get beaten for it. When we proclaim that it's God's right to do whatever He wants with our lives because we deserve the worst but He has already blessed us with more than we could ever repay.

#5 if you ask in your hearts...would you chose to be like a movie star with wealth, health and beauty but have to renounce God by making him into a false idol that resembles a genie in the bottle that grants your every wish or be like Job scraping boils off your body with postcards after losing all your wealth and all your children but being proclaimed blameless.by God and suffering for the sake of His name....which would you chose?

Again., we must get rid of the orphan pauper mentality of the flesh. We are sons and heirs in Christ. Yes, we are protected because we are His. But many don't believe it or live like it. Many Christians take the sickness and insanity and poverty that the world the flesh and the devil throw at us and "offer" us in a religious package and believe the lie that God is NOT for them but against them like Adam and Eve believed and fell for.

We don't need taking care of when we get to heaven., that happens as soon as we get there walking on streets of gold in our new bodies that are not effected by sickness and confusion. Today is the time we need to walk in faith to obtain the promises. We need tending to by the Good Shepherd TODAY not when we get to heaven. There is no enemy to set a table before in heaven... that happens HERE on earth. We need help not in the sweet by and by but in the SOUR here and now.

So instead of rejecting the lie satan and religion is throwing at us that God is the one sending us bad things (like Job said God sent him all the catastrophes when it was satan who sent them) Job wrongfully blamed God for his misery and because he believed a lie., he suffered at the hands of the liar. Job lived in fear of this man made human reasoning mentality of God. Job even said he would keep believing because the Lord gives and the Lord takes away., blessed be the name of the Lord... well., the last part is true but the first part is totally false and a man made mentality of God. The Lord gives and gives and gives and gives.

Job made countless sacrifice offerings for his sons because he was afraid of God. But the very things he feared "came upon him." This was not by God's hand. Job opened the door for satan to have a foothold in his life. Just like we do in our lives. But Job learned better later when God set him straight.

Those aren't misconceptions MatthewG, they are just Biblical truths that you refuse to believe. By the way, it is only the lake of fire that the unsaved spend eternity in, Hades/Hell is a temporary place of torment until the great white throne judgment.

The reason that people who never come to Christ are punished in the lake of fire, is because they will have willfully rejected God's provision of salvation through the shed blood of His Son. Therefore, when they die without Christ, they remain in their sins and God's wrath rests on them. God is not going to force people into the kingdom. He says, "I stand at the door and knock. If anyone will open the door I will come in and have fellowship with him and he with me. But each person has to open the door.

I also believe this is true Matthew. We have been given every opportunity to be saved forgiven and not die in our sins. God gave up His only Son., that is how much He loved the world. But not all will come. You are right Matthew., there are some things about God we will not understand BUT there are many things we have been freely given for our learning 1 Cor.2:12 so we CAN and should seek to understand.

As a matter of fact I've discovered He wants us to have a STRONG CONSOLATION Hebrews 6:18-19., an ANCHOR for the soul.. The evidence is in Christ about how much He does love us and wants us to KNOW He loves us.

It takes a willingness to trust Him and His love for us. If we have Jesus., we have life. Without Jesus the wrath of God abides. The message is JESUS and Him crucified. God soooo loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that WHO SO EVER believes on Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life.

Some do not believe in a literal hell where souls will be tormented forever. I know many Christians who believe this way and they are good brothers and sisters. But I don't agree with them because of my seeing that sin was so bad Jesus had to come to save us from it. Jesus suffered on the cross... He felt pain and he suffered physically. God could have spared Him that but He didn't. So Matthew., suffering and death is what He experienced for us., He took allll our pain., sickness....,diseases., confusion., condemnation..., guilt..., shame... , wrath and punishment upon Himself.

And it's God's will than all should come to repentance., but not all will come. Not all will believe. So if it takes believing what God says about Jesus and about sin causing suffering and death., than I'm going to believe it even if I don't understand it. Jesus suffered and died so we don't have to. If we have Jesus we will not suffer that wrath and that death. So the answer is always Jesus. For salvation and for our walking by grace through faith in this life. And the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth.

The Bible says we have died with Christ and our life is now hid in Him. Our old man is dead and our new man is alive. Baptized unto His death. I don't understand all that the Bible says but I believe in the awesome love and grace of God in Christ. It is poured out to us and for us. And now we have the ministry of reconciliation while we are here on earth. We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus.

There is so much to learn and He promises that as we learn we will not be frustrated or upset. We will have the peace of the Holy Spirit John 7:38 Rivers of living water flowing in and through us to do what He has called us to do. We learn as we go. We have enough grace for today. Don't worry about tomorrow.

Job did not give Satan a foothold...,that is a lie.

The Bible clearly says God allowed Satan to try Job faith.

Unfortunately Job failed the test but it was NOT his sin that allowed him to be attacked in the first place.

Job knew that God washes away sin, he knew he was blameless because of God's grace.

Job sin was questioning God's judgment of good and evil. Job wondered why God did not punish the wicked. He knew His Redeemed lives in Heaven. Job spoke prophecies of Christ and begged for a mediator.

Jesus promises suffering and trials to His disciples but folks would rather follow their own type of religion of wealth and prosperity....that is their choice.

God is for us, but I don't but the false candy doctrine that like Peter would tell Christ He and His disciples don't need to take up their cross and follow Him.

I would believe Jesus and not snake oil salesmen.

How sad..,,you will deny the present kingship of Jesus in Heaven and His RIGHTFUL dominion of the Earth and instead claim your own importance...but seeing the illogical premise.

If Jesus is not reigning that how are God's children able to be protected at all?

Yes there is still rebellion to Jesus kingship. We do not live in the New Heaven or New Earth. Satan and all his followers have not been casted into the fiery pit.

However there is a difference between having active gangs dealing drugs on the streets and having them run the police department and be elected mayor.

Jesus has dominion of the Earth.

Satan is a renegade rebel seeking whom he can devour.

If you want to see Satan king of the Earth, then you can accept that lie. You have the free will to choose to.

Satan has already been/is/will forever be punished for his sin. God is sovereign. Satan cannot not abide by God. If he could, he would have killed Job. God IS sovereign. That doesn't just mean he reigns. It means he "possesses supreme and ultimate power." There is no circumventing God. God is the power. He is Sovereign.
So are you saying you don't believe God reigns either?

Lots and lots of words, and yet again. NO, you did not answer my question. I could care less what you think of Satan's needs. I could care less about Satan's needs.

Do you believe/agree with Ellis when he said, "Satan didn’t ask for permission to go after Job because he didn’t need permission."

If you double-speak/politician-(lack-of)-answer again, it is assumed you agree with him. In which case, you are NOT interpreting scripture. You are intentionally misrepresenting it. Creating different scripture. You're out and out lying about it!!!
She agrees with him and believes that Adam gave Satan dominion of the Earth in the Garden of Eden....no biblical proof, but hey why should that matter?

See you around Lynn, I am on to other threads.

Folks will believe what they want. Only humbleness, prayer, the Holy spirit can truly change that.

I checked and found that one of the books he authored won the Guild of Christian Writers Silver Medal award.

I guess that members of their awards committee are not big on doctrinal soundness.
Can someone tell me how Ellis won a 2015 award from a guild that shut down in 2014?

I think we all know the real reason why Ellis isn't giving details about his education & awards.

When you give details, people will check you out.

I like your post but disagree with your charge of willful blindness. I think we work these hard things out as we talk about them and while we live them.
Totally disagree. Joaniemarie has been doing this nonstop for a few years now with no change. Just go back & look.

She refuses to change anything.

This is called deluded.

How much do we understand what His grace is all about? Grace will teach us how to live soberly righteously and Godly in this present age but if we don't know what His grace is., we can't learn.
Now we know why JM can't learn.

So you think Jesus is proud of you for that remark? Is that your idea of contending for the faith?

Do you believe this? Do you believe the very first sentence Ellis wrote under his very first subsection?

No, that's fulfilling Eph 5
6Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7Therefore do not be partakers with them; 8for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light 9(for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), 10trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. 11Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; 12for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. 13But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.

This post exposed your hand.

As soon as you started projecting on me it became clear. It also confirms you're the one abusing grace.

Projection is a device that, once exposed, will show everything about the person using it.

Those that are deluded seem to have no clue they're exposing their real self when using it.

Thank you Davida for inadvertently telling us about yourself.:)
