At the very top of this page click on "settings". Then click on "General Settings". Then in the second section titled "Messaging & Subscriptions" there is a setting called something like "Default thread subscriptions" with a selection box next to it. Yours must be set to get emails when someone makes posts... so just change the selection. I forget what the selections are.

I'm glad you called me young haha. OK I will put this in the Miscellaneous section at your request. Although it was only meant to be thought provoking and to provide a bit of light sustenance or food for thought.
