KFC was my first real job outside the home* (not counting baby sitting :p).
We used to get line-ups down the block on a Sunday afternoon

*That does not count the ten years I worked with my dad and brothers, either ;)

In the United States, approximately 9 billion chickens are killed for their flesh each year, and 305 million hens are used for their eggs.

That is 24,657,534 chickens a day.............think on that a minute

In the minute you thought on that....17,123 chickens died

Wow, Dave, almost 25 million per day in the Sates alone

I ate chicken for dinner last night, but I cooked it myself :D
Thankfully, someone else killed and plucked it :p
What would we do without these birds as food?

Sorry, vegans and vegetarians, that is not an option for all :(

I went shopping with my daughter on Saturday, and some of
the meats were on sale (chicken legs, 30% off, so I got about
two dozen drumsticks for around $5.00, and I also bought
a couple of steaks @ 30% off {I do not normally eat steak ;)}).

I had to draw the line at that, though, meaning, no ground meats.
Just looking at that ground meat makes me feel slightly ill. And also
feel sorry for the animals who are raised to give their lives for such.

I've gone to KFC several times and been told they were out of chicken. I always ask why the place was open.... no body goes there for a burger.

I like yard bird.......and when one takes into account all the chickens, hogs, cattle etc. that are eaten each year....I stand amazed that the world can keep up with the demand.......

The only fast food joint I have seen run out of anything was Taco Bell in Sullivan, Missouri......I forget what it was....about three years ago.......

I do.

Now I know why they always tell me they're out of burgers.

I've been to KFC when they were out of original recipe, but they always offered to give me extra crispy or grilled instead..

Around here, they run out of extra crispy first. No body wants original recipe.

Oops, it is DHL :D

We had them as delivery guys, and I asked one of them what the
initials stood for, and he said (and I quote :D), "Huey, Dewey, and Louie."
