Honestly though, the more I get to know you the more I am seeing that we have similar personality traits and many similar beliefs...so that's probably why it went down like a head on collision...Two people who are similar, agree really well, until they don't...lol

The Mother's curse -- I hope when you grow up you have a child just like you.

The worst part of the mother's curse is it works. Every parent has one child that gets on their last nerve the most. And that child isn't really doing anything wrong. The child is just like the parent.

That's why we knock heads. We can see the worst in another most easily when that trait is our sore thumb about ourselves. You, ma'am, are too annoyingly like me. lol

(Got the cough, Lynn). Something needs to go well in my day, and if it is just a few words "liked", it makes me feel much like I did when I got gold stars for mastering a piece on the piano. Is this a left over thing from childhood?

I look at myself and look pretty battered at this point, and what's to like? I've aged 10 years in 2 weeks. I get depressed, yet I will turn on this site and find a "like" about something I said. Brings a smile in a way the mirror does not. Makes me feel there is still something productive I can do or say. Makes me feel like I got accepted in some sort of little group of "like- minds".

And a reputation is sort of over the top. I have just been elected President of this little group. It lifts me up emotionally. How sorry is that? That a little reputation point has that much power..... sigh.

I'm sorry for the likes I do not give. I often read in a hurry. Am I denying others this feeling of happiness?
 
I think everyone likes to get them, but some clearly are on a daily mission to fish as many as possible for various personal reasons. As for me im much for attention seeking/approval or building reputation, If i get likes or not im good either way. Most of my likes and reps come from a higher plane tbh.
 
I do like likes - to me they are a nice way of fellowshipping together - an added bonus for those times where you don't wish to comment but to make yourself available in some way - it's a nice way of connecting and letting your friends see that you appreciate them :)

meant to say not much for, not much for, as in thats what i do, but yea. Its all good though.
 
I like the likes I get for saying things that I like to say too.

So far 43 in one day,but still I've given far more likes than I've received.

I have given more than I have received...I got about 75 in two hours today...sometimes they get built up and I have to spend like 20 minutes going thru them...I don't always check them out daily...I have given out over 40,000

or at least I think that's how many I've had,though I don't much count, lately I've been on a roll with humor and some biblical truths.
 
I like likes they are just so likeable they are like getting an award or a pat on the back,or declaration of "Good job" so I like likes like so many do I like because it shows liking for me.

Ok we like liking you and that you like receiving all our likes from all your posts that we like - so do you like us too? And do you like us liking you? Because we do - like you that is. Does that even make sense hahaha
