I've seen some women wear lipstick and look really great in it. But, for me, lipstick makes me look like a clown, regardless of the color. If I wanted to look like a clown, I'd join the circus.

Besides, no matter what I do, I still look like I'm 15-16 years old, so why fight it?

My mother used to tell me about old preacher Blue (not sure of the spelling). One time while preaching he got on the subject of makeup and said "if the barn needs painting paint it!" My mother is in her 70's and my grandmother was the one telling her the story to begin with and she would be 104 if she was still around, so no telling how long that has been. Lol, some things that come across the pulpit are so funny! :p

Sometimes i wanna believe that make-up is a creation of some insecure hearts out there. True or not, i know we can use it for our advantage.

Now...i want everyone to understand that there is nothing wrong with make-up. The wrong thing is when you start believing that make-up can and will make you beautiful. That's the idea that the world engraves in our heads. You sure end up a loser if you believe it. So sad a lot of people live their whole lives with that belief. :( In the first place, it's not where we should draw our confidence from. Try feeling ugly and put on make-up and see if it changes anything. The only secret to be beautiful is to KNOW AND BELIEVE THAT YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL. Of course it all starts with who you are in the Lord ---- when you understand that you are fearfully and wonderfully made and that God's prints are on you.

For those guys out there who don't like girls who wear make up, you are responsible for your preferences but i strongly suggest...grow up. ;)

You may ask, if make-up is not to make people pretty, what is it for then? hhmmm...That makes me think. But i'm sure it helps me highlight my assets. lol

<now u can start throwing stones> :p

I think this is a very closed minded way to look at this.

I wear make-up in photo shoots and seminars and interviews. I also wear make-up to cover my tattoos and piercings, when they are not appropriate. I have a very active lifestyle and my makeup is water proof and you couldnt tell if we met that i had it on or not.

Sharp shampoo is accually horrible for your hair as it strips the natural cleaning oils from your hair. So only using conditioner for 3 or 4 weeks would be better for you. Also what someone else does with their body isnt really your concern, it affecting you that bad shows your own insecurities.

Okay I'm in no way the prittiest girl out there, but I don't wear makeup. I don't own any. I don't WANT to own any. God made me the way I am. God made me with skin full of blemishes. I'm God's creation, why would I want to hide that? I feel a lot more comfortable without makeup on. I mean, I'd like to know that when I get a boyfriend he likes me for me and not my makeup.
And anyway, Here are a couple of Bible verses to get you thinking:

And you, O desolate one, what do you mean that you dress in scarlet, that you adorn yourself with ornaments of gold, that you enlarge your eyes with paint? In vain you beautify yourself. Your lovers despise you; they seek your life. Jeremiah 4:30

When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it. And she painted her eyes and adorned her head and looked out of the window. 2 Kings 9:30
For those of you who don't know who Jezebel was it's a good idea to research :)

I do understand why girls (and men) where makeup, But it's not needed. We are all beautiful in our own ways. It doesn't have to be physically. And we were made in the image of God. You should be proud! Can you emagine living in a world where girls excepted themselfs for who they are and were not forever trying to change there appearance? myself personaly, I'd love it!
