Lol. I was telling this toy my kids the other day. We lost discipline, no discipline means no respect. No respect means kids feel they can do as they wish. So they can rape whoever they want, Kill whoever does nto agree with them, and how dare someone take my girlfriend or boyfriend. Those are fighting words. And we do nto fight with fists today, we fight with knives and guns.

We are reaping Thats for sure.

This past summer, I had to teach my daycare kids how to catch crickets. Kids are so terrified of nature these days. It's sad.

My girls on the other hand are always adopting new pets (worms, ants, snails, slugs, beetles, and even stinkbugs lol). I think I just need to get them a fish.

Ever had one of those days?

Yesterday was "one of those days" for me........sigh

It was a beautiful sunshine, clear blue sky day!
Wind was 'bout 12 MPH....Making the Wind Chill 'bout 32 Degrees......brrrr

Went to the Lake anyhoo to do some fishing off the pier we go to. My fishing partner was colder than me, 'cuz I dressed in layers.....LOTS O LAYERS!

I had a Apple Danish and a Coke for breakfast....standing there (with two lines in the water) enjoying my Danish and Coke, and wouldn't ya know it? I dropped my half eaten Danish in the Lake.........seriously? My fishing partner laughed at me, as expected....and I mumbled a couple of things under my breath best not repeated here......sorry Lord, but I was really, really enjoying that Danish!

Anyhoo...........we fished for just over 5 HOURS with nothing biting. I mean NOTHING biting!

Finally, one of my rods bent over, and I jumped up and eased in the slack, and when I felt the fishie hit it again, I gave it a HUGH YANK and set the hook! WOW! my rod bent in half, and I was seriously worried I would not get whatever was on the other end into the Pier.........fought if for several minutes......and FINALLY got it in to the Pier close enough to see it. It was a big Catfish, and, seriously, I am fairly sure it was the biggest Catfish I have ever hooked! I knew my line would never get it up on the Pier (12lb. Test), and I did not have my net with me.........AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH1

There was only one way this story was going to end.......he would snap my line when I tried to lift him up to the Pier. The Pier sets about 6 feet above the water, so it is a pretty good lift when a big old Catfish in on 12lb. Test......anyway, my Fishing Partner got out his Smartphone and took a Pic to document that I actually had hooked the thing EVEN IF I did not manage to "land" it.........That's what I mean about "one of those days." Joy and Super Frustration all rolled up into one BIG MESSY WAD! Man.........I was tickled to death, and angry as all get out at the same time..........It was like watching your Mother in Law drive over a cliff in your new Pickemup Truck!

:)

So, for what it's worth, here's the Pic

I will not estimate the size, because I was the one who hooked it, but my Fishing Partner said he believed it was a good Two and a half feet, and had to be 14lbs. or more to break 12lb. Test. That would make it my "mega Cat" had I landed it, sadly though, he and I ONLY count them that we actually land and document.....sooooo

Ever had one of those days?

So the moral of the story is not to go fishing without a net and to hold your Danish with two hands?
