The doctrine of the Trinity is a central plank of Christianity - take it away and there is no Christianity.
Perhaps you would be better off on a forum dedicated to comparative theology....

Had a KJV only guy used to come into my shop. When we discussed the Word he would after a while say "I need to go home and check that" I would offer him a KJV and say "it's ok you can check it here". One day he bought me a new KJV with a commentary in it. It was then I realized why he needed to go home. He wasn't reading his beloved KJV, he was reading the commentary. One day he stood up all flustered and yelled "this is the perfect Word Of God". To which I replied "no that's paper and ink. The perfect Word of God is sitting at God's right hand and it's name is Jesus". I thought he was going to go into cardiac arrest. We need to worship God not a translation of His Word.
I've heard agnostics and atheists say that the Bible is mere paper and ink. Guess you don't believe that reading the Bible can change you. I've read it many times in the past 30 years and can say without a doubt that I am not the person I once was. The Bible is much much more than paper and ink. The Holy Spirit is in it and eagerly awaits the sinner to change them into the image of Jesus Christ. And please don't refer to our LORD as an "it".

For it to become meaningful in any way it has to be understood and illumination is required for it to be sensible.
And that illumination is provided by the Holy Spirit and that alone.
Then what is written becomes much more than words on a page or ink and paper, but there is nothing magical or spiritual about the paper or ink per se.

I'm a Christian as God is my judge, (not argumentative people), so that rules out atheist etc. as being a childish remark. The point was The Word Jesus is the perfect Word not a book that has the Holy Spirit inspired Word. Though I know you know what I meant. You are just looking for an argument.

Well in general yes,but there is actually more to it than just what can be seen,the bible is not simply called the "Word of God" because it sounds miraculous,it's because it is "inspired by God" it's easy to see the ink and paper,but what about "the effort and time it took","the emotions going through the writers"?

The Unitarian belief regarding the Godhead is, I agree, not doctrinally sound. I am not certain that it is necessarily a Salvation issue. If it is not [and I am not certain it is not] God will correct him when he is called home. If He trusts Jesus alone for his Salvation that is certainly enough. Scripture never makes a case that a correct understanding of the Godhead is a requirement for Salvation, that I am aware of.
