Zechariah 14 is about the establishment of the New Covenant.....

The festival of Booth is the Holy Spirit living with us. No rain means they do not drink of the living waters that flow from God's throne. The earthquake happened AT Jesus death at the cross. The nation was split because God sent them to "make disciples of all nations".

Jesus death on The cross was a special day....He is the Light that shines in the afternoon .

I think I am going to have to go pray for a bit.

Zechariah 14:1–21

14 Behold, a day is coming for the Lord, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in your midst. 2 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and zthe city shall be taken aand the houses plundered band the women raped. cHalf of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 dThen the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle.
this happen with Roman in Jesus day....

4 eOn that day his feet shall stand fon gthe Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and gthe Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by ha very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward. 5 And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from ithe earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.1
Happened at Jesus cruxification, the disciples did flee but yeah some folks don't get symbolism...they think means these events didn't actually happen but they couldn't be more wrong.

6 eOn that day jthere shall be jno light, cold, or frost.2 7 kAnd there shall be a unique3 day, lwhich is known to the Lord, neither day nor night, but mat evening time there shall be light.
Jesus is the Light and the,day of his death was very unique,

8 eOn that day nliving waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to othe eastern sea4 and half of them to othe western sea.5 It shall continue in summer as in winter.
Living waters flowing from Heavenly Jerusalem

9 And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and this name one.
Jesus say My Father and I are One.

10 uThe whole land shall be turned into a plain from vGeba to wRimmon south of Jerusalem.
the demonic mountains or kingdoms in Heaven (Satan and 1/3 of the angels) have been cast down to Earth.

But Jerusalem shall remain aloft yon its site from the Gate of Benjamin to the place of the former gate, to athe Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses. 11 And it shall be inhabited, for there shall never again be a decree of utter destruction.6 Jerusalem shall dwell in security.
Heavenly Jerusalem, the mother of the firstborn.....not Hagar the worldly earthy Jerusalem that was destroyed for her adulterous ways.

12 And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.
you see it happening today...slowly people die. Faster if they use opiates.

13 And fon that day a great panic from the Lord shall fall on them, so that each will seize the hand of another, and the hand of the one will be raised against the hand of the other. 14 Even Judah will fight at Jerusalem.
predicts the Jews rejection of Heavenly Jerusalem and Jesus kingdom.

7 And ithe wealth of all the surrounding nations shall be collected, gold, silver, and garments in great abundance.
some folks will hate this but this is symbolic...figure out what God considers gold and what White robes mean to God biblically and you will see this indicates the gathering of Gentiles into God's kingdom.

15 And a plague like this plague shall fall on the horses, the mules, the camels, the donkeys, and whatever beasts may be in those camps.

16 Then everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Booths.
Predicts the conversion of Rome, happened during Costantine rule.

17 And if any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, there will be no rain on them. 18 And if the family of Egypt does not go up and present themselves, then on them there shall be no rain;8 there shall be the plague with which the Lord afflicts the nations that do not go up mto keep the Feast of Booths. 19 This shall be the punishment to Egypt and the punishment to all the nations that do not go up to keep the Feast of Booths.
God visits all nations that don't worship Him and accept Jesus and have His Holy spirit moving within them ...he gives them plagues....but folks just call them natural disasters and don't repent and turn to Him.

20 And on that day there shall be inscribed on the bells of the horses, r“Holy to the Lord.” And the pots in the house of the Lord shall be as the bowls before the altar. 21 And every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be holy to the Lord of hosts, so that all who sacrifice may come and take of them and boil the meat of the sacrifice in them. And there shall no longer be a trader in the house of the Lord of hosts on that day.
If we have the Holy spirit within us then our hearts are His altar and every bowl we eat from is a sacrifice of this world made to God and His people, His Holy priests.

The last line dissolves the Aaronic priesthood for they were the traders.

Zechariah 14 is about the establishment of the New Covenant.....
Ariel,

If you do not know this already, you should know that deliberately misrepresenting what is written in the Bible is equivalent to calling God a liar. And that is a very serious matter. You are deliberately misrepresenting Zechariah 14 in order to present your false view of Bible prophecy, so let's look at that chapter in its plain literal sense without any embellishment.

CONTEXT: THE FUTURE DAY OF THE LORD AND THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
NOTE: The “Day of the LORD” is clearly shown to be a PERIOD of judgments upon the whole earth, followed by the second coming of Christ.

CHRIST TO LITERALLY DESCEND TO THE MOUNT OF OLIVES, WHICH WILL BE SPLIT

4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

THIS WILL BE AT THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST WITH HIS SAINTS AND ANGELS

5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON WILL TAKE PLACE AT THAT TIME
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

CHRIST TO “FIGHT” THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON SUPERNATURALLY (SEE REV 19)
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle... 12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. 13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. 14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. 15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

NEITHER DAY NOR NIGHT ON THE DAY OF THE SECOND COMING

6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

CHRIST TO REDEEM AND RESTORE JERUSALEM AFTER ARMAGEDDON

8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

CHRIST TO ESTABLISH HIS LITERAL KINGDOM ON THIS EARTH
9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

THE LAND OF ISRAEL TO BE REDEEMED AND RESTORED FOR THE MILLENNIUM

10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses. 11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

ALL THE NATIONS SURROUNDING ISRAEL TO BE PURGED AND SAVED

16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. 17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. 18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. 19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

AN UNDEFILED AND HOLY TEMPLE TO BE ESTABLISHED IN JERUSALEM

20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar. 21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.[NOTE: The "house" of the LORD of Hosts is the temple]

“Strike the shepherd,

This has nothing whatsoever to do with the second coming of Christ. It has everything to do with the first coming of Christ, His betrayal, His being abandoned by His own disciples, and His being taken captive in order to ultimately die for our sins.

Then saith Jesus unto them,
All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. (Mt 26:31)

In case people are not familiar with Old Testament prophecies, they were not written like a book on systematic theology, with the first coming of Christ clearly demarcated from His second coming. Prophecies were frequently a mixture of revelations which addressed immediate things and also spoke of things far into the future. Much of what was revealed was not even understood by the prophets themselves, as Scripture plainly tells us.

Going back to Zechariah 13, we see two widely separated happenings being mentioned within the same chapter.

THE CRUCIFIXION OF CHRIST (at the first coming)And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

THE TRIBULATION OF ISRAEL AND THE SURVIVAL OF A BELIEVING REMNANT (before the second coming)
And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

You are deliberately misrepresenting Zechariah 14 in order to present your false view of Bible prophecy, so let's look at that chapter in its plain literal sense without any embellishment.

Plain literal sense with no spiritual understanding? Where do you find that prescription for hearing God not seen called the hearing of faith ?

Would that be embellishment or reveal spiritual meaning hid in that parable as good news ? There are many metaphors used in that book .It is like the book of Revelation or any book in the Bible. I would offer God’s book of His perfect law has no philosophies theories of men. I Think it could be the reason why he did speaks in parables and with parables he spoke not.

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

it in the above verse represents the faith of Christ as the power or authority need to believe God.

It as it is written would seem to represent the poetic language by which we can know God, not seen, is good as to how he defines good. Only God is good. Even the Son of man in respect to His flesh which he said does not profit when a approached as good teacher(Lord) replied only God not seen is good, We I would offer continue to walk by His good work of faith that works in the believer to both will and perform his good pleasure .as our new imputed faith, not of our own selves but rather yoked with Christ, our Emanuel..Our God with us, not our God is us, or one of us .God simply is not a man and nether is there any daysman or a Pope (fleshly mediator) between us and Him.

Again I would offer in a living hope to embellish Him that not only did he send it (it represents the revealing faith as it is written) he signified it giving us a understanding to walk by faith.

In that way it would seem to support that His word is a lamp unto our feet, to indicate walking, and a light unto the path to indicate direction. You could say when walking by faith the unseen eternal. The darkness surrounds the path. In that way Jesus is the Way of truth to the father. The word became flesh for a promised season. God who has no beginning did not become man as one that does.

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Although some did know Christ after the flesh as the Son of man for a season that changed when he disappeared out of sight. There are no two promised demonstration. One demonstration I would think one is enough to deny or show who it is that do have the Spirit of Christ in them ( Not of them) .

2Co 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

The last day and the second coming are the same last day.The day of the Lord is day of the last trump.

The day of the Lord is the last day on this present corrupted earth. It’s the same day spoken of in Revelation 1;10 from that standpoint John receives the revelation and the Holy Spirit signifies it ,giving us the spiritual meaning like in all parables.

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signifiedit by his angel unto his servant John:

In the twinkling of an eye the new will appear as the second coming of Christ in Spirit and not again as a demonstration, as the first time in the flesh, it is represented by the rent veil, when the graves were opened as the first fruits of the first resurrection which all enter into save the last day when those on earth reigning with Christ will be changed in the twinkling of the eye the former things will not be remembered or ever come to mind

.He is not a man as us. there is no prophecy that informs us he will be coming again as another outward demonstration of the work of His Spirit.

2Co 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

CHRIST TO LITERALLY DESCEND TO THE MOUNT OF OLIVES, WHICH WILL BE SPLIT
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south
Feet throughout scripture represent the gospel .If Christ does not wash our feet with his gospel scriptures inform us we are no part of His . Mountains represent kingdoms of this world . Mount Olive represents all the all the kingdoms and denomination of men of this world, facing east to represent the face of God . East throughout scripture represent the invisible presence of God.also called the bosum of Abraham with Abraham representing our father in heaven not seen as the spiritual father of a multitude .... all nations.

He is not a man as us. there is no prophecy that informs us he will be coming again as another outward demonstration of the work of His Spirit.
Looks like you are bound and determined to persist in your fantasies (just like a few others), rather than start afresh with just the plain literal revelations of God.

So you claim "there is no prophecy that informs us he will be coming again..." Let's leave the rest of the mystical mumbo-jumbo you have attached to that. Or anything else in that post.

Now I will show from Scripture that either (a) you do not know the Word of God, or (b) you refuse to accept the words of Christ as truth, or (c) you will simply change the meaning of Scripture to suit your fancy or your theology.

CHRIST SPOKE OF HIS SECOND COMING "WITH POWER AND GREAT GLORY" AS THE CULMINATION OF THE OLIVET DISCOURSE
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be...And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Mt 24:27.30)

CHRIST SPOKE TO THE SANHEDRIN OF HIS LITERAL SECOND COMING -- EVEN BEFORE HIS CRUCIFIXION
But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. (Mt 26:63,64).

PAUL PROPHESIED OF CHRIST'S SECOND COMING WITH SEVERE JUDGMENTS
Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. (2 Thess 1:6-10)

JUDE REITERATED THE PROPHECY OF ENOCH REGARDING THE SECOND COMING
And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. (Jude 14,15)

THE APOSTLE JOHN CONFIRMED THE SECOND COMING IN REVELATION
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen... And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war... And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. (Rev 1:7; 19:11,15).

So with all these Scriptures to refute your statement, are you now going to withdraw it and admit that you are totally mistaken, and will receive the Word of God with gladness?

Wrong garee! The "It" in the scripture represents "the things that must shortly come to pass," which is what he is signifying. The things that must shortly come to pass is referring to the events of God's wrath via the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments and all related information. By spiritualizing everything, you do away with the literal events of wrath that are described from chapters 6 thru 18.

Zechariah 13 shows the first coming of The Messiah...chapter 14 continues and shows the establishment of the New Covenant.

It's your choice to deny it and cling to your earthly wisdom.

I will allow you your delusions as you call them and remind you of the warning you uttered about speaking falsely about scriptures.....are you calling God a liar?

Do you not believe it when He says He will give living waters to the nation's and plagues to those who do not accept Jesus Christ as savior and are sealed with, the Holy spirit?

Amillenialist believe that Jesus will return, judge the living and the death, toss Satan, death and Hades and all their followers into the never ending fire. Then establish the New Heaven and New Earth.

Anyone claiming otherwise does not belong in the aMillennialism camp.

Some seem to be Gnostic (all about hidden knowledge and the spirit realm) others postmillenialist (believing that the world is getting better by the work of the Church and doesn't really need to be destroyed instead of worst as the Bible tells us. They believe in world dominion,)

If y'all want to fight with each other that is your choice.

Just commenting that it has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Let's break it down....which biblical truth do you deny or is it just the fact that if you actually agreed with my interpertation of Zechariah 14, you would have to admit to being wrong?

Starting backwards..,

1. Aaronic priesthood has been dissolved,

2. If we have the Holy spirit within us then our hearts are His altar and every bowl we eat from is a sacrifice of this world made to God and His people, His Holy priests.

Anyway I post for those who truly want to know the amillienialisr position and understanding.

All I ask is for you to pray and let the Holy spirit inside you tell you what is true and what is false.

I have found many in this world offer people false promises or tempt people to jump off mountains as Satan did to Jesus to test God's love for them.

I can find you the Bible verses, Jesus talks about it....remember Revelation 12 says Satan and 1/3 angels were cast out of Heaven.

Rather folks agree it's happened already or not...the concept of demonic heavenly kingdoms shouldn't be foreign...all the ancient gods..zeus, etc were fallen angels lead by Satan

Hello Trofimus,

Ariel is referring to the war in heaven when Satan and his angels are thrown out of heaven and restricted to the earth. However, that event has yet to take place, as it is the result of the 7th trumpet which takes place in the middle of the seven years and cannot take place until the seals and trumpets 1 thru 6 have been completed.

The events of Rev.12 regarding the woman/Israel giving birth, the male child and Satan and his angels being cast out, are all future literal events.
