Hi becc
I had that surgery over 10 years ago. The worst part is the recovery. Just being sore for the next couple weeks. It's a pretty standard surgery.
While surgery always comes with risk, that surgery isn't too big of a deal. I've had multiple surgeries since, including major surgery, and I'm still here.

It's not that bad. Like I said I've had, let's see... At least five surgeries. One was a kidney transplant. Way more serious than having your appendix removed. I've known numerous people to have all sorts of surgeries.
Besides most appendectomies nowadays are done laproscopically, so it's minimally invasive and easier to handle.

For me the worst part of surgery, is waiting to go into it. Like Ugly said, nowadays some surgeries are minimally invasive. I had a hysterectomy done for my uterine cancer, and they cut 4 or 5 tiny cuts in my belly.

Ever had sciatica?? I have, and there is no pain like it. If I can handle the indescribable pain of that, then YOU CAN take the pain of recovery after your surgery. :) God is with you, so why worry? Don't feed the devil.. He thrives on fear.

Go read my physical pain testimony, under the Blog tab in my profile. :)

LOL...

Well, just like with life, most surgeries and recovery aren't going to be without some pain and discomfort. They'll probably give you narcotics afterward, but if you can tough it out with ibuprofen or other pain reliever, definitely do. :)

It's a routine surgery. As for "death" I imagine your in about as much danger up and walking around as you are on the operating table for a procedure like that. The future is never sure or secure for us. That's why we have Jesus. Run to him always, in the good times, and the bad times. And hey! If you get it done NOW, there's no chance it will bother you later when you're in the MIDDLE of some life-changing point of your life :). Be thankful for the 1-2 weeks before your test. As long as it's not a physical test, you should be in better shape by then :)

No need to apologize. :) I'm glad my testimony helped you. :) Though if it's only an UTI, it makes me wonder if it's a bad one because typically those don't hurt. They just make you pee alot.. LOL

Drink lots of water, and cranberry juice. Cranberry juice is excellent for clearing up UTI's.. :)

For that long? Wow.. Then you'll probably need anti-biotics. Cranberry juice is what it sounds like: cranberry juice. :) They may not have it in your country though.. For the record, if it was appendicitis, it most likely would have burst, because appendicitis doesn't last for a year.

What did your doctor tell you to take for the UTI?

I've had a couple UTI's and they do hurt. I guess it depends on a person's tolerance level and I thought mine was pretty high lol

Yea, i don't think we have cranberry juice here. He scribbled the drugs on a paper and i gave it to the pharmacist.... i think i have ibuprofen for the pain, anti-biotics and one other one that i can't recognize.....
