Too much masturbation is not only a sin but also do harm to your body. it will make you weak and could lead to memory loss.

but you cannot avoid masturbation even I stopped watching porn.
How much is too much?

Onan didn't masturbate, he pulled out early in coitus.
Yes, Tommy379, I stand corrected on that point. Forgive me for relying on my memory-as I usually reference things before I comment on them.

It's not a big deal. I just think the story gets mis-applied. I have spoke to catholics before, and they rely on that story to the belief that marriage is ONLY for producing children. I believe that is incorrect.

Maybe a little off-topic, but is there some otherkind of masturbation? Than that of the flesh, I mean.

I don't know, but I can spend hours looking at food porn on Facebook.

Like the Lady said, if it becomes an addiction it's sin. As to when does it become an addiction, it's when you cant let it go: Unless we forsake everyone and everything and our own life, we cant be His disciple.
"Nothing is evil in itself, but to him who esteems it ("Lovers of pleasure more than Lovers of God.") to him it is evil." "Whatever is not of faith is sin." In the case you find yourself addicted and think shamefully of yourself, rather "God be merciful to me a sinner," In this sense doesn't matter if its sin or not, as "Sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under the law but under grace." "All manner of sin shall be forgiven unto man but rejecting the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven to man." Have masturbated while praying in tongues: to release stress and verify wether it was possible to be considered not sin: not rejecting the Holy Spirit wile doing it. One of the few time there was no shame involved, I have struggled with addictions practically my whole life and could possibly be one of Paul's rivals as chief of sinners and compete with "not of works lest any man should boast." Our accomplishments are fitly rags so we don't think to highly of ourselves. But as single we are to aspire to love the Lord with our whole heart and not be distracted by the world, as opposed to married people who 'Seek the things of the world to please their mate." An expression of love in marriage; an opportunity to dye to our selfish nature and seek to please the Lord without distraction as single. "The time is short, it remains that they that have wives be as if they have none,"
Wait what? You....you prayed while like frfr? Oh my, anyway um yea... Masturbating is a sin it's impossible not to lust and ejaculate??? Plus it does ruin our sexual purity which might not necessarily be sin but we should want to as pure as possible ( i just made a thing A.P.A.P.) and tongues ceased a long time ago right? Like he said they would end and they did right? Am i like crazy? If we didn't lust while doing it it still wouldn't be ok he designed sex for marriage and that's kinda like passing the commitment for the pleasure it was meant to be enjoyed in that context nothing less nothing more so it's sin regardless i think. But doesn't matter cuz you gotta think about something sexual, lust, regardless so yea we shouldn't be doing it cx. Please sir i ask that you please look at your life and read first John to see if you're really in the faith pretty worried about you sense you went all fappy while praying so i would ask you to please think about if you're really saved. Thanks and God bless

His mercies are new every morning: Your great faithfulness." Your correct that I am not yet saved and please don't worry.
"For we are saved if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end." Many of us still need the gifts of the Spirit as we are imperfect. "For when that witch is perfect is come that witch is in part will be done away." "Now we know in part but then shall we know fully." As you know it is of Grace (God's influence) and not of works. He "Did not come for the righteous but for sinners." To qualify for the gifts of the Spirit, "He is a Father to the Fatherless," "He is near the poor and broken heart," "A broken heart you will not despise." "Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened," Jesus was referring to asking for the Holy Spirit. The Lord still spoke to me when I was in drug addiction, Some of the things He said: Enter in as a little child and put away your divided spirit. Come to my house I'm coming to my house. He was not referring to church meting as I was still involved, but to be in the Father's house: to do the will of the Father. A year later when still struggling with addiction He said: This kind does not come out but by prayer and fasting. Referring to the divided spirit that He told me to put away.

Depends. Normally no it's not a sin but if it becomes an addiction it is

Demi, Abstain from fleshly lusts that war against the soul. Let God be true but every man a liar.

Nah. It might have been a sin when life creating things were sacred because we didnt know about them, but now we know theres no harm and, infact, it's quite healthy.

What you know isn't what the Bible says. And give it a few years. Scientists will waffle on this one too. Sort of like wine, eggs and coffee -- good for you, bad for you, good for you, bad for you, etc. (Science rarely goes with "fact" anymore.)

The root word of disciple is "discipline." Show restraint as much as you can... and it will become easier to do.

If your body is a temple of God that you have been given stewardship over (for a time) should we use that temple for our selfish pleasures?

The more you fight the temptation... the easier winning the fight becomes... but it's a process.

I didnt come here to argue or discuss. I gave my opinion and I am not up for discussion nor will I stand here defending myself.
Opinions were asked, opinions were given
Typical liberal response. Prove them wrong and they are finished talking. Just back to their old way of thinking. Not interested in learning anything.

Thanks for defending me but don't worry. He aint worth trying to convince of anything. He's just a legalist jumping to conclusions
I have better things to do. I have God to keep, things to study and to abstain from ppl who arent good for me.
The OP asked for opinions and because i dont suit the way this man here wants everyone to be, he goes ahead trying to provoke me...pretty weak if u ask me
Thats what satan did with Jesus and Jesus told him to get behind him. See the similarities?
