So decon gnawed and chewed and took in the food that God sent years ago.

What food did decon gnaw and chew and take in from God sent years ago?
What food? this food.

John 6: Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

32 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me[g] has everlasting life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.
54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed,[h]and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

63
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

even Peter understood what the food was.

But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”[i]

so ben, wqhen are you going to eat this food?

"Whoever 'eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life', and I will raise them up at the last day." John6:54

If I can ask , Are you Catholic ben ?
Do you not believe that John 6:54 is referring to the sacrament of the bread and wine?
I would like to know also is benhur Catholic, normally Protestants refer to the bread and wine as "Communion" and Catholics refer to the elements as "Sacraments." If we know your Church association it is easer to understand your doctrinal positions.

I am still in recovery and am not able to read or respond to posts as I would wish to, thank you ljs and God bless.

john 6 isd talking about the words of God. Not any communion or sachramental meal.

The bread of John 6 jesus said one could eat once and never die “don’t labor for food which perishes but food which endures to eternal life”

The communion or eucharist, people eat all thje time (like manna) and yet still die.

No, I don't.

To the contrary to eat or drink Jesus....... is to come to Him in faith.
It's about faith in Christ, not vain rituals and works that can never save.
Man can not procure salvation through vain works nor manufacture God's grace.

John 6:35
Jesus answered, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst.

John 6:47-48
Truly, truly, I tell you, he who believes has eternal life. 48I am the bread of life.

Amen! By faith we partake of Christ, and the benefits of His bodily sacrifice on the cross and the merits of His shed blood, receiving and enjoying eternal life. Eating and drinking is not with the mouth and the digestive organs of our bodies, but the reception of God’s grace by believing in Christ, as He makes abundantly clear by repeating the same truths both in metaphoric and plain language.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life” (verse 47).

“He who eats this bread will live forever” (verse 58).

“He who believes” in Christ is equivalent to “he who eats this bread” because the result is the same, eternal life. The parallel is even more striking between verses 40 and 54:

“Everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day” (verse 40).

“Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day” (verse 54).

Jesus is the Bread of Life; we eat of Him and are satisfied when we believe in Him.

Bread represents the "staff of life." Sustenance. That which essential to sustain life. Just as bread or sustenance is necessary to maintain physical life, Jesus is all the sustenance necessary for spiritual life.

The source of physical life is blood -- "life is in the blood." As with the bread, just as blood is the empowering or source of life physically, Jesus is all the source of spiritual life necessary.

I doubt it matters for language descriptions to be made.

The seder, would be something to remember him by because our Lord is the Lamb that.....

The wine.
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.

Keep ignoring context, the timing of when that was said and all the verses that state, prove, alleviate law keeping by any man to obtain eternal salvation....that which deems guilt will NEVER SAVE OR JUSTIFY BEFORE GOD!
I'll repeat the question;

Is it TRUSTING IN JESUS to consider Him as FALSE for teaching that “IF YOU WANT TO ENTER LIFE, OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS (matthew 19:17) and “IF YOU LOVE ME YOU WILL OBEY WHAT I COMMAND.(john 14:15)

….That Jesus is FALSE for being the author of eternal salvation for all who obey Him.( hebrews 5:7-10)?

Is it trusting in Jesus whenever you reject the Word of God (john 1:1-3 & 14, revelations 19:13, hebrews 4::12-13, 2timothy 3:15-17) His teachings, instructions and commands that does not agree with your manmade doctrine?

Hi ElAmor, God does not want a bunch of robots acting out His commands, He wants a love relationship with His children based on the blood sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ. You have what I call a "Myopic View" of the bible, you are looking at the holy scriptures through the wrong end of telescope.

Your reasoning is faulty and your conclusions prove it so. Turn the telescope around and you will see the bible clearly. After watching your endless cut and paste on this thread month after month I cannot offer you any more wisdom than this, repent and be saved, God bless.

Do you want me to believe a FALSE manmade doctrine rather than the truth of the Gospel of Christ. Ok if that would make you happy.

Would you do the same for me?

New International Version 1984 Matthew 7:12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Again look at your answer; "A FALSE manmade doctrine", your reasoning is false/faulty, and so likewise your conclusions are wrong. I want you to believe the Truth of the Bible, as does everyone on this thread, your interpretations are manmade.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts4:12

I can be wrong or false but LET GOD BE TRUE and every man a liar (romans 3:3-4)

Mark 7:6-13 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’ You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.” And he said to them: “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’ But you say that if a man says to his father or mother: ‘Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is Corban’ (that is, a gift devoted to God), then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother. Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”

John 7:17-18 If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

Yes, and honoring Jesus with our lips and not our hearts is exactly what we do when we try and "keep" ourselves saved by trying to perfectly follow the law. Our hearts are near Him when we trust that He did what He said He did and trust only in Jesus for salvation when we are first saved, once we are saved and forevermore.

The truth is ElAmor you love to ague, if I say black you counter with no it is white. Some people are contentious by nature and I am not sure why. God loves contentious people too but they are difficult to have a two way conversation with because it will always be contrary to what the other person say's and actually it will drive the other person crazy.

I once had a Christian friend tell me, ya know I don't really care what other people say or think I just want to do all the talking no matter what they say, It just does not matter to me. Well we are no longer friends because who wants to listen to someone like that. God bless and I'm finished with this one way conversation.

God's Faithfuness: Romans3:3,4
3) What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness?
4) Not at all! "Let God be true, and every human being a liar." As it is written."

John 14:15-31 “If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.” Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold on me, but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me. “Come now; let us leave.
