I ask you say a prayer for me, and everyone who suffers from this horrible mental illness.
God bless !
Hi Wade, firstly I'm so sorry you're going through this, it's an awful battle I know cos I deal with it too. Prayers for you!!
Here's what I can offer from my own personal experiences: after tons of researching, meeting a couple of brilliant health researchers and a few actual trials and errors, I've found a few things that worked for me personally.
Of course Jesus is The Ultimate help, and praying in the Holy Spirit is paramount to overcoming anxiety. The Holy Spirit that raised Jesus up to life again, can and is able to work within you, to overcome.
Having read Hopeful's explanation of the physiological processes that occur in the body, I agree with a lot of what was shared by Hopeful.
Personally I find that taking an adaptogen helps, specifically Ashwagandha for anxiety and stress, because this adaptogenic herb supports the adrenal glands, and regulates cortisol in the system, helping the body cope more and become resilient.
I noticed a heck of a difference when I ran out of it and thought oh I'm ok now, but then started to get symptoms back again.
Of course, we're all different and what works for one may not work for another, but I pray you find what works for you.
Adaptogens are so helpful because they adapt to the person, and their system. Check some out, I think Ashwagandha is the one for anxiety. I used to get the powder from Neals Yard and mix it in my porridge or yoghurt. Tinctures are good too for ease of use.
RE: Wi-fi activity - test it out for yourself, try minimising the wi-fi activity around your personal space. Test it over a 24 hour time period. Put your devices on airplane mode, even the TV. Anything connected to the wifi network. See if this makes any difference either way to your anxiety levels. Some people are sensitive to wifi, and it can present as anxiety in the person.
Same with when you're in an area where wifi is concentrated in volume. Like a supermarket.
If your testing this out reveals that wifi causes anxiety or stress in your system, try minimising exposure to wifi and spending more time around living elements, such as plants, trees, water sources, grass and soil.
I found that making these small changes helped me overcome the anxiety that was disabling me and I was able to return to full time work!
Jesus is the ultimate answer though. Things like adaptogens are supplemental, but helpful. Praying for you. Sorry for the long post. Hope you can draw in close to Christ. God Bless you Wade.
