Better yet would be for you ladies to grow up a bit and stop making such ridiculous comments. All because you hate what God has told you and you don't want to go by it. So you take your frustration out on who delivered you His message.
I don't hate what God has told me. I hate your abuse of scripture without knowledge. I also hate passive-aggressiveness and the tearing down of women based on poor interpretation. Oh and I also hate when someone can't agree to disagree but has a need to keep crowing until he beats all into submission to his small thoughts.

Don't hate what God has said. I hate your poor handling of what God has said.

Okay. I think we all need to step back abit and just relax :) let’s agree to disagree because truth is, both sides won’t back down from this. I say this with love because I’m weary of people arguing especially around the Word of God which we should be careful and respectful of. As someone who has been “told off” by God before by arguing over His Word, I’m giving you all this as a warning - please.

Both sides have spoken their views and opinions but in the end It’s your choice and I feel obligated to tell you anyway.

Blessings.

Still speaking of him and not the topic.

Turn the other check?

After the first or second admonition attack?
This is most ridiculous. First of all, you hurt your position of his defense by intoning he struck my cheek. Then you try to admonish me as one who won't turn the other cheek without first and foremost addressing the one who you intone struck my cheek.

Because my Lord has made me a fierce lion and I WILL NOT let this man abuse women ,and just act like he isn't, trying to browbeat, beat down, minimize and harm them mentally or emotionally.

He has to face the fact that a lot of people in here do not agree with his...total lack of exegesis or thought or even just a willingness to deal with the things that seem to conflict. If he wants the thread to stop he needs to stop trying to beat women down with his words and arrogance and just accept that some don't agree with him, maybe even the majority. But don't expect the thread to stop if he keeps posting women can't talk, teach and preach when others don't agree with him and don't want to see others harmed.

This did not spiral down into longterm silly joking until he got himself cranked back up again and started calling out taunts and "little womans." So don't act like he didn't bring the ridicule on himself because I'm so sick of that kind of passive-aggressive bull I could just scream.
I have no problem in facing the facts. The fact is that a few women did not like the scripture I provided so they resorted to personal attacks. Making fun of my chosen name among other things. They don't like the TRUTH of the message so they have resorted to attacking the messenger. If anybody has done any "taunting" it was you with your knuckle sandwich comment. Now that is what is defined as "taunting". You started any "taunting" yourself and now you want to falsely accuse someone else of doing exactly what you did. Not going to work ladies.

Turn the other cheek or is it attack after the first and second admonition?

1. . They like the scripture you posted very much. They don't care at all for your handling of that scripture.

2. "little lady" is a passive-aggressive attack.

3. The knuckle sandwich reference was first made in a joking manner by someone else and I carried on the joking and silliness. I was NOT threatening you. What, I could get through my computer screen to you??

4. Nope. Truth is what we love. Once again, it's your handling of truth we object to.

5. Grow up.

I agree with Mel85 and lightbearer, we should move onto discussing the topic. Sure isn't looking much like a Christian room when ladies become angry over receiving scripture.

Let's do. :) You're right - it's not looking much like a Christian room when men call people "little woman." Yes, let's do.

Would you just listen for once ? Little lady is not any aggressive attack. Your and the other lady's knuckle sandwich comment was made at another man. I simply said it was arrogant and ridiculous, which is true. And the only handling of the scripture that I did was to post it. Then when you argued against it so profusely I said you don't have to go by it. I was only the messenger, as I told you I did not write the Bible. I only suggested you recognize it as truth and stop arguing with it. Now, I'm finished arguing about all of this ridiculous antics and am taking Mel85's advice not to continue. You ladies can have the thread.

Yes, I see. Everyone else is ridiculous, arrogant and aggressive. You, on the other hand, are the holiest man on earth.

The "knuckle sandwich" comment was made toward me, because I made a joking comment about women "staying in their place" or something like that.

It was all joking... please go back and re-read that, so you won't be accusing her of making a "real" threat. She did not.

I looked it up for you.... post #937 I was "quoted", and the person that made the comment wasn't even a woman.

To quote the immortal (?) Rodney King.... can't we all just get along?

Let's put any bruised egos aside, and discuss the topic, or let's just drop the whole thing. There are obviously strong differences of opinion on this issue, and I'm not confident that either side will be swayed by being beat over the head with the same scriptures over and over...

Much like me on the "baptism" thing....

I'm all for dropping all the nonsense. But I also am not going to have a bunch of false claims being entered here without responding with the truth. Fact is that some approve of following scripture "as it is written" and some are not in favor of that. I agree stances are not likely to change.

I agree. I also am not going to have a bunch of false claims enter without responding with the truth. Fact is, there has and will always be a push of by the letter against the spirit of a matter and a push of the spirit of a matter against the letter.
