AMEN....just another fraud.....spreading false half truths and I am done with his ignorance.....ALL can see he is wrong except maybe one or two deceived one's as well.

NO, I do not think so. If he is as old as he says he is, it is entirely possible, that is the way he was taught. I have run across that before. They actually think that the KJV is the ONLY INSPIRED VERSION of the Bible, and therefore, it should not be touched.

Years ago, I was in a Local Christian Book Store, when the owner was the only employee there during the Lunch Hour. She had a Line at the Cash Register, when an elderly lady came in looking for a new Bible. I knew the OWNER very well, and she new me, so she asked me, "Could you show the Bibles to my Customer here." I said yes, and I politely ask which Version of the Bible she wanted; and she responded, "It has to be the KJV, because after all that is the Language my LORD spoke." I politely tried to tell her that Jesus spoke Hebrew, Greek, and maybe some Aramaic that he would have learned during HIS school years. She turned and walked out of the store.

Those of that generation, I have to give them the benefit of the doubt, because there were not a lot of Seminary Graduates, in those days, and some Churches hired those with no Bible College degrees too. THUS, the concept that the KING JAMES VERSION was the ONLY INSPIRED Version of the Bible, was common place; when all it was intended to be was a Paraphrase updating older archaic language expression, and correcting some KNOWN ERRORS.

I have show you this before, but this is for the benefit that those who have never seen this before:

EXCERPTS FROM:

THE TRANSLATORS TO THE READER

Preface to the King James Version 1611

Truly (good Christian Reader) we never thought from the beginning, that we should need to make a new Translation, nor yet to make of a bad one a good one,
. . .
we building upon their foundation that went before us, and being holpen by their labours, doe endevour to make that better which they left so good;
. . .
but to make a good one better, or out of many good ones, one principall good one, not justly to be excepted against; that hath bene our indeavour, that our marke.
. . .

dc's words.
Therefore we conclude a man is justified by faith without the works/deeds of the law.

No one has presented any scripture from any Bible worded exactly as above. Therefore, it is NOT scripture, but it is a man's words and summation of scripture.
Here are two sections of scripture that deal with grace through faith and works. These two sections show the relationship between them. Two key points.
We are saved by grace through faith and not by works.
Faith without works is dead. (works is evidence of saving faith)
Therefore faith that doesn't produce works is not a saving faith.

James 2 NIV
Faith and Deeds
14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.

Ephesians 2 New International Version (NIV)
Made Alive in Christ
1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

what saddens me is i really do love the KJV

it is my favorite translation

and i personally believe it is a legit translation of Gods word

but i dislike this "kjvo" group....

it bums me out to see people act like this

not only have i seen brothers and sisters come to the truth with many translations (including the KJV)

i have seen many who stand by the KJV push doctrine that is NOT biblical....

God did a wonderful job preserving His written word....

That on the face of it is ludicrous. Probably trying to make a point of placing it as the standard.

KJV was a very good translation in 1611. The problem is language changes over the years 400 years in this case.

KJV Thou shalt not kill.
NIV You shall not murder.

In 1611 kill meant murder. Today that is not the case. People are killed in accidents.

Right know he is ranting on and on in and angry tone on a different thread. I believe it is his MO to disrupt discussions and add his perverted notions no matter where he goes including his family household. Take notice that he is for the moment gone because everybody stopped responding
to him, he got bored and left, typical "troll or bully" behavior, pure nonsense.

Amen.......a glutton for puishment I guess...done with his foolishness
The "foolishness" began with you. I stated that your words were not a verse, which has been proven to be correct. Then you wrongfully stated someone was a "deceiver" and continued to demonstrate your true colors by piling on more false and slanderous comments. Adding to your wrongness with each and every post you make.

Yep focused on the letter of the law and missing the message of Jesus all the way to the pit. It is a sad but a real truth. Jesus had 1000's upon 1000's of followers and bystanders. But God always has a remnant who are faithful and true to Him alone.

I came to Christianchat at a low point in my life and looking for fellowship. God honored my prayer and now I can only pray that I will meet some of you on "heavens bright shore's", and maybe even worship and serve Him together.

God's Remnant: Romans11:2-4
2) Don’t you know what Scripture says in the passage about Elijah—how he appealed to God against Israel:
3) “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me” ?
4) And what was God’s answer to him? I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not
bowed the knee to Baal.”
