The very problem. "As far as I can tell." You can tell, not God can tell, not research can tell. God covered this long ago. The research is coming in. If you're homosexual, your life expectancy drops by 10 years, suicide rates increase drastically, and viral infections cause great harm. Here's the thing though, it's better to be a homosexual than go for that surgery. The research is in. Suicide rate increases even more with that surgery, and yet you're so busy proving yourself, you won't even bother checking out reality! As far as I can tell the point of them having surgery is to be happier in their own skin. If this will keep ANYONE from killing themselves it should be allowed after enough psycho-therapy to make sure that is what is warranted.
They DON'T feel happier! They feel even worse! And considering how horrible they felt in the first place, (enough to want to mutilate their bodies), that is NOT good!!!They may FEEL happier as the opposite gender, but the fact remains, they CANNOT TRULY change their gender. If they were born female, they will die female. If they were born male, they will die male. IMO, more transgenders get murdered for changing their gender, than they do from suicide. I speak from personal experience on that one.
If they wanted to keep the same genitalia and dress like the other gender it would be no more wrong than wearing linen and cotton together.
Still don't think you were homosexual. Abused, definitely, but not homosexual.
The following words are going to sound dated, possibly even silly, but they were the words I thought when I was in my early 20s (back in the 70s), so I am dated anyway.
I was raised Catholic, so have the Ten Commandments (Catholic style) memorized like most people memorize the alphabet. And, at that time, the only one I was sure I never did was #6. (Again, Catholic style, so that's the "adultery" commandment.) And then I was raped. To me, I broke the 6th commandment. I was a floozie, a tramp, a whore. I honestly considered myself all those things.
But, years later, someone finally got me straight. I did not commit adultery. I was raped. I did not instantly become a floozie, a tramp or a whore. I was raped. I was used for someone else's pleasure (and anger, and loathing of self and everyone else around them), and then discarded like a dirty tissue. That is not sex. That is not love. That is not choice.
I think you got the same raw deal but from people of your own gender. It may have turned you on your ear to think you were homosexual, but I don't think you were. That choice was taken from you.
So, I'm not a floozie and you're not a homosexual. Deal?
Don't assign intent. The very problem. "As far as I can tell." You can tell, not God can tell, not research can tell. God covered this long ago. The research is coming in. You're basing everything on "as far as I can tell." Not God. Not knowledge. Your feeling minus understanding. That is the problem!
Happy? It's hell on earth for them! Yet, you are pleased for that?
More "I know?" And based on what? Because you said so?Don't assign intent.
I pray that you're healed of the anger that is driving you.More "I know?" And based on what? Because you said so?
Kind of funny, since you just assigned intent. Definitely guided by self, not God.
I'm praying the Lord saves you.I pray that you're healed of the anger that is driving you.

I cannot believe everyone is talking about happiness over people who were truly miserable, and chose, not knowing all the facts, to get even more miserable than they were. How sad is this?
Speaking of the alphabet, I have come across recently that apparently now, there is something like 70+ genders that one can choose from. How does one come up with 70+ genders, when there are only 2 genders - male + female. There maybe more now who knows.
This is getting really bad. Gender confusion has come to the point that a person not only can choose what gender they associate with, but they at the same time don't know what they associate with? So if that is the case, shall a new gender option be added just to make said person happy? Seriously, enough is enough with this madness.
Now this is going to be blunt and direct, but in my opinion, a transgender that does not get his/her way, but expects everyone to support and celebrate a type of surgical procedure that will ruin said person is like a child throwing a tantrum when he/she doesn't get their way. And on top of that, if these rights activists (regardless whether it is same-sex, transgender and so on) think that those who are strong in moral foundations and principles, based on "scripture", bend over and support their cause, then they are in for a big disappointment.
It has always been male+female. That is it. So why cannot many people understand this biological fact is beyond me.
As mentioned before, the design process of mankind involves man and woman. Two genders. This is how we were created, by The Creator. Male and Female, that is it. Black and White, no shades of grey, period.
I was amazed to read an article last year, where two men who were making their wedding plans, had decided to abstain from sexual intimacy until after they were married. It demonstrates how far away the wicked's heart is from knowing the truth, as though they were honoring God by abstaining! Wait or no wait, it is detestable to God regardless.
I can't imagine talking to you about it that too long, since you tend to find it totally disgusting. The ones I know personally, say that they're much happier living as the opposite sex. But since we aren't them, we can't truly say or know, whether they're truly happy with the change or not.. I only know that I never have, and never will, understand the mindset of the so-called alphabet people..
I think this helped in the long haul, because at least people (who were listening) got the message that these people are hurting terribly. They could use a friend. Someone not out to convince them to step out in someone else's agenda, but someone who will be real with them. Who better than a believer?Honestly, is anything we say here going to change anyone's mind about changing their sex?
Those who are so confused, or deceived, as to spend all that money, and go through such pain, on something so irrelevant to who they really are, are going to listen to people other than us no matter how right we presume ourselves to be. (Even when we "prove" it from Scripture.)
I expect our only real option is to decide whether or not we treat people we disagree with (whether in this or any other subject) with dignity and respect as people whom Christ loves and is willing to die for if they accept His death, burial and resurrection for their lives and souls.
I wish life were easier (in some ways), like it was in the "olden" days, and we simply didn't have to deal with such debate and confusion. But this is the way it is now and IMO all we can do is deal with the way life is and not the we we wish or think it should be.
Sometimes, IMHO, all we can do is to "Put our trust in our faithful Creator and continue to do good".
