I'm assuming you didn't read what I posted a little earlier because you as well have cut off jesus from talking keep reading that paragraph
All of His Word's are contained in every sentence. He didn't say anything different in this sentence, this chapter, than He said in Jeremiah or Genesis, or Galatians IMO.

He created Salvation, He created the Path to Salvation, He walked the same Path, and instructed us to walk it as well.

Am I missing something?

Gen. 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
the Hebrew word used in v. 5 is torot, which is a derivative of torah, or could also mean a scroll . but, since it is not in the text that God told Abraham exactly what he told Moses, we should not assume it is the same, since Torah is not the word.

Just got to love how people think they are so special god will save them because they go out and do a few works. Eople need to humble themselves and come to the thrown of grace, we have way to many pharisees pumping thier chests and not enoug sinners falling on their knees.

works are the byproduct of living faith.
Shouldn't it be "Obedience" is a byproduct of living faith?

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

These people had works, they gave the Christ all the credit for their "works", they did these "works" in Christ's name.

But "their" Works didn't save them. What did Jesus say cost them their life? Was it not "Iniquity" or Sin, Transgression of God's Commandments?

How is this different that anything else the Word which became Flesh taught anywhere else in His Word?

What kind of works are these "people" doing that makes them think that it is worthy of earning salvation?

I'm not assuming that here G9. Was the God who gave Abraham Commandments, the same God who gave Moses Commandments? That is another discussion.

What it seems like to me, is that the Word which became Flesh blessed Abraham because He gave Abraham HIS Instructions and Abraham trusted in Him enough to follow them. This was later called "FAITH". It was "BECAUSE" of this that Abraham and his seed were blessed. At least according to the text.

Amen! Works are the fruit, by product and demonstrative evidence of living faith, but not the essence of living faith and not the means of our salvation.
Amen, by faith noah did, by faith abraham did, etc etc.

what amazes me is people say they have faith in God, yet they trust in their works for salvation.

thei actions do not support their claimed faith. The reality is their faith is in their deeds, not in Christ.

I think where the confusion is that people think since we will never be perfect we shouldn't aim for it even though jesus tells us over and over to be perfect as our father is in heaven it's not about being perfect its about trying your hardest to do what jesus taught you and told you to do and never give up......its crazy we will never pay off our debts with the government but that doesn't seem to stop us from working for money every day of our lives so why not do it for jesus SINCE we have faith?

yes, that is exactly what Paul said- grace, faith , works. God called Abram, no record of Abram seeking Yahway, ( grace ), Abram believed Him, ( faith ), Abram went, and circumcised himself and the other men ( works ).

but, as always, God intervenes on us, God saves us, we do not earn or deserve it.

that verse is more talking about those who did works but never sought out that true personal relationship with Christ, they worked in the shadow of His name only but didn't try or look to walking with Him in spirit.

you could say its both though, obedience is not giving into the will of the flesh the other is doing the good works of the spirit, but both in the end are brought about by faith.

Yes, by or “out of” faith Noah did, Abraham did. Works-salvationists confuse faith with works that are produced “out of” faith. Works are the fruit of salvation but never the root of it.
