I remember going to my grandparents home in the sixties and they still had a "party line".

I just learned that I can't have any meaningful conversations with my parents because they are going to be upset if I start asking hard questions. They also can't remember much of anything so they keep asking the same questions about me.

It started yesterday, and today (Sunday) I feel disconnected somehow...I felt this way several weeks ago as I sat in church service. I did not feel a spirit of joy. I was not lighthearted. I felt a heavy weight. I prayed that if I had been disobedient or a disappointment in anyway, then in Jesus name, please forgive me. The feeling in me did not change for a few days.
When I woke up this morning, I was running late, tired, frustrated with both of my daughters, frustrated with some trials going on in my life, and I have recently been let down by a couple of friends. Right now, I'm feeling overwhelmed with feeling like a failure.

So, what to do? Well, I'm going to take my own advice...I'm going to get out my Bible. I'm going to spend some one on one time for the next hour doing what I've kinda been lazy about. When I'm done and I've put on my full suit of God's armour, I'll be ready to face the roller coaster knowing that putting my faith, trust, loving Him and putting Him front and center where He belongs will calm the storm.

I believe that sometimes, His Spirit is quiet and He let's us feel this way to draw us nearer to Him.
So next time you feel beat down, perhaps He wants to draw you near to give you peace in the storm allowing you to feel His perfect love and joy...
You did a good thing sister when you opened your Bible... First remember that your relationship with God is not one of feelings as they can come and go.

Your relationship is by faith of what we can't see at this moment but there will come a day when we see God face to face and all tears will be whipped away and no more despair and hurt.

I sure look forward to that day and you felt better after spending time in your reading listening to God speak to your heart on a day that you needed it. Keep hanging on sister just a little while longer and we will be HOME!!!

Question: Am I allowed to have and express opinions and feelings towards my brother's divorce and my adulterous soon-to-be-ex sister-in law and the destruction of their family or am I supposed to suppress those too?
Express it to God and let Him know how angry you are at the Sister-In-Law... Remember Jesus died for her sin too it is so hard when you just want to slap the stuffings out of the one who has hurt and caused destruction. But remember that Jesus died for us too while we were yet sinners. Praying for her will help you.

I know because I have yelled at God about the people who drive me nuts and He always seems to say to me pray for them... I don't want to I yell and He says but you know they need the prayer.

Also remember vengeance is mine says the Lord... Love your enemies do good to them that spitefully use you.. It is so hard to hear and practice when you just want to hurt them back.... Jesus died to save us while we were yet sinners. He turned the other cheek to our wrongs... Jesus made it right... Pray for her she needs it. It will bring peace to your soul.... Hugs for your hurt that she has caused your family....

I think I will head over to the BDF to see what is happening. I don't mind an occasional view of the jungle - from a tour car.
I like a good religious fight now and again myself... although it's pointless....
