It was written in Greek.
Actually when Jews use a language they change it by bring in Hebrew words and concepts. Yiddish is Jewish German. The New Testament language is Koine Judean Greek. The Greek modified by the Jews like they did to German to make Yiddish bringing in the Hebrew words and concepts.

Where is tennis mentioned in the Bible?
I tried to answer you in the electronics area. It never accepted my posting. So here is my response.

I was interested in electronics in HS. I started attending a Jr College near me going for an electronics engineering degree and simultaneously took the electronics and math classes at a tech school. After 2 years I was forced to get a job. I started working for EMR Telemetry. Telemetry is transfer of data on a test vehicle to a receiving station to analyze the real time data. Started in the test department and later transfered to field service. While in house after I was made a Sr tech I wrote ECOs (Engineering Change Order) to fix design problems. In field service I installed, taught, and repaired the systems we sold including OEM equipment. Learned a lot from the scientists using our equipment. Working on the NASA wind turbines mandated by congress under Carter I learned that wind and solar power would only create a sliver of the power needed. They only worked in very selective locations. My avatar is the first NASA wind turbine located at NASA Plumbrook in Sandusky Ohio. I went up in it many times working on the telemetry equipment. Also spent even more time with the receiving equipment digitizing the FM data being digitized and sent out for analysis. Lots of travel. Went to all but 5 states, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Idaho and Alaska. Went to countries on every continent except Antarctica. Almost went there once but the normal tech for there became available.

On the Number Codes in the Bible, today Ladies & Gents, we are going to examine the wonder of the number 153.

As we all know, this number appears in chapter 21 of John, where Jesus' seven disciples, with Peter in lead, were catching fish as they did not know what to do, even after they had seen the risen Lord. They worked hard all night, but caught nothing. Then they heard a man by the shore speaking to them: "Cast the net on the right side of the boat!" They did as instructed and caught a net of
153 big fish, no more and no less. This is the only miracle after Jesus' resurrection recorded in the Bible that is associated with a number. You know, a fisherman does count his fish -- but in this situation, it was rare that these seven disciples would do it when they are caught unfaithful in going back to their previous profession of cataching fish, rather than catching men and bring them into the kingdom of God. What is so unusual about 153? As some of you might already know:

153 = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + ... + 17
And the number 17 is associated with Noah's Ark (it rested on the Mountain of Ararat on the 17th of the month) and the Lord Jesus' resurrection (on the 17th, since the Passover is on the 14th, and 3 days later Jesus arose). Amazingly, the Greek noun for "fish" in "153 big fish" occurs in the whole Bible in 17 verses.

[TABLE]
[TR]
[TD]Most interestingly, 153 will resurrect itself when we apply a function
called "
Trinity Function" to it:
153 => 1[SUP]3[/SUP] + 5[SUP]3[/SUP] + 3[SUP]3[/SUP] = 153
Usually, when we apply this function to other numbers, the Trinity Function will convert them to different numbers, for example12 => 1[SUP]3[/SUP] + 2[SUP]3[/SUP] = 9;
123 => 1[SUP]3[/SUP] + 2[SUP]3[/SUP] + 3[SUP]3[/SUP] = 36.
Further more, the numbers 17 and 153 are directly related to a number in the Old Testament, 969, which is the longest years a man of flesh (Mathushelah, Genesis 5:27) ever lived on earth according to the Bible. What is the connection?

To express this structure in a geometrical shape with
969 tennis balls, it is a solid tetrahedron containing 4 facets (each facet having 153balls) and 6 sides (each side having 17 balls). The following drawing shows what a tetrahedron is. A tetrahedron is simply the manifestation of a triangle in the 3D world, or reversely, the latter is simply the projection of the former in the 2D world:

What is the hidden message here? Well, the hidden message is the same as what the Bible claims in the surface text: Jesus rose from the dead on the 17th in order for us to resurrect (symbolized in 153) from the dead when He comes the second time. This is eternal life (symbolized in 969), promised before, enjoyed by us now, and fully realized in four aspects (spirit, mind, soul and body) in the future.

Hello depecheur10, so sorry, I'm not sure if I understand your question.......... :confused:

I do appreciate you playing Bible Trivia with us, though!! Perhaps an easier question for us. :)

Who shut the door of the Ark?
I believe the Bible says God did. But He could have directed Noah to have the door be like a draw bridge and then have him tie ropes to the ends, and then have elephants pull the ropes until the doors were up.
LOL! Love your answer! :)

EarnestQ, you must be an engineer! Your brain got all involved in trying to figure out how Noah would shut the door when, God simply shut it without man's help! LOL! :D

Thanks for sharing! When I consider all the incredible knowledge of what you're talking about, all I can do is just imagine how the brain of God must function...........incomprehendable...........I am left in awe of God! :)

Here's a 3 for 1 question..............which means if you get one right, you get them all right!

In the Book of Revelation,

1 - How many seals are there?

2 - How many trumpets are there?

3 - How many bowls/vials are there?
