Adam wasn't created dumb. We are not progressing from dumb to intelligence like evolution thinks.
Consider this, Adam was created with the ability to talk. He even knew he had bones.
You're confusing intelligence with knowledge.
Intellect is inherited. It's almost entirely genetic.
Knowledge is learned.
The most intelligent man ever, could have already lived 15k years ago.
Obviously, those societies had enough members with a higher intellect, to amass the knowledge to create the technology they had, at that time.
Exactly, in which they (Egyptians for example) were able to build mass pyramid structures. Still standing to this day.

It is my understanding (and I believe this is what Paul teaches) that the false gods of old were fallen angels that worked through certain humans. (Perhaps they were even physically present at times.) I believe that is where the strange gods of ancient Greece and Egypt came from.
They never acknowledged any human as a god, but rather what they called gods from the heavens that they thought looked over them . An unseen god that they made images of and worshipped. Those were their false gods.
The generation of today for many, rather than displaying signs of common sense, it seems to be getting more and more eradicated. Instead we see evidence of a dumbing down of society. There is a movie that portrays the dumbing down of society as each generation goes by, its called Idiocracy.

If we are a fallen race, and our DNA is becoming more and more corrupted with time (and there does seem to be evidence of this) then it is extremely easy to imagine that ancient people had superior intellects.
As Tommy pointed out, intellect and knowledge are not the same.
We certainly have more knowledge now, more data.
But they probably had a superior raw intellect.
Even if you just go back a few hundreds years you'll find great Bible scholars doing extraordinary works and commentaries with very few resources. How exactly do you write an entire Bible commentary without having even a rudimentary concordance, or engage in sophisticated writing and editing with just an ink quill and no computer? Simple: you must have vast amounts of scripture memorized, and you have to write brilliantly, with fully organized ideas flowing straight out of your mind, with very little editing.
Even if we just go back a few hundred years we see people doing things we can scarcely imagine.
I'm sure the ancients were brilliant.
Well, at least some of them, lol.
Question is how is our DNA becoming corrupted? The foods we eat have in some way or another been tampered with, regardless whether it is beef/chicken or fruit and veges, our foods have been tampered with. What about the air we breathe? Are we breathing something into our bodies that we don't know about or not aware? Many of these medications that supposedly help people, but they really don't.
Makes you wonder what is really inside the injections given to people?
This has been the conscious intention of those who are in power for generations. A non-thinking, emotionally manipulated society is easily governed and is easily turned against those who seek to think for themselves and who desire the government be held accountable to the truth.
That unconscious conditioning to not think is why the media and culture are so anti-Christian.
