Ok I am a bit confused with what is being called dust here . Looking at the OP and the refrance to dust and the serpent.
The word has several somewhat related meanings .
עפר
‛âphâr
BDB Definition:

1d) ore
Part of Speech: noun masculine

Then after reading the whole post the author seems to relate dust to sin .
It sounds cool don’t be dust conscious but really what dose it mean ?
Its a bit confusing without a firm definition.
Blessings

I guess the interpretation has to do with the person reading the OP. Some here find the OP heretical. And others read it and gave their thoughts on what it meant to them.
I took it as meaning I can't depend on my flesh for anything and when I do try to depend on me., I fall down. I'm just a bunch of dust. One of the other posters mentioned God knows our frame that we are but dust. Psalm 103:14
[SUP]13 [/SUP]As a father loves
and pities his children, so the Lord loves
and pities those who fear Him [with reverence, worship, and awe].
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers
and imprints [on His heart] that we are dust.
Seriously., how can we depend on ourselves apart from Jesus any longer? And the Bible says without Him., we can do nothing. Yet because we are not able to see past ourselves to Jesus UNLESS we make the choice to walk by faith and not by sight., we will have a dust mentality if we don't make that daily choice to see ourselves as God sees us now "IN CHRIST"
Our flesh is just the shell where our spirit resides. And when we walk by faith in the spirit., we can master our flesh one day at a time. The Bible tells us the flesh seeks to master us but we must master "it"
And the great thing is Jesus already stripped the flesh of it's power over us. But we have to walk in the truth of that reality. For sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under law but under grace. This verse was also brought up in another thread and I'm reminded of it here and it also applies here. How awesome is God's Word!! Romans 6:14
[SUP]
10 [/SUP]For by the death He died, He died to sin [ending His relation to it] once for all; and the life that He lives, He is living to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him].
[SUP]
11 [/SUP]Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin
and your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus.
[SUP]
12 [/SUP]Let not sin therefore rule as king in your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies, to make you yield to its cravings
and be subject to its lusts
and evil passions.
[SUP]
13 [/SUP]Do not continue offering or yielding your bodily members [and [SUP][
a][/SUP]faculties] to sin as instruments (tools) of wickedness. But offer
and yield yourselves to God as though you have been raised from the dead to [perpetual] life, and your bodily members [and [SUP][
b][/SUP]faculties] to God, presenting them as implements of righteousness.
[SUP]
14 [/SUP]
For sin shall not [any longer] exert dominion over you, since now you are not under Law [as slaves], but under grace [as subjects of God’s favor and mercy].
