It's time to head off to work.

I am trying to read the registers of a VL6180X via I2C on a Raspberry Pi 3 with wiringPi. I think I might have to go with pigpio. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to PM me.

Well, I changed out the wiringPi library with the pigpio library and the change seemed to go smoothly. Unfortunately, pigpio accesses /dev/mem and that requires root. I don't know how I am going to figure this out yet.

I just want to say that I love all of the peeps on this site that I have come to know very well. We are very much a family on this thread. Sorry I haven't been much company lately but I have been in a reflective mood on who I currently am in the eyes of God and what needs to happen for me to become a more loving humble servant of the Lord. Truly, this is really all I want out of life and my sole purpose for being here for I shall not pass this way again.
