Why, thank you! That's quite a compliment! I've also been told I look like Tommy Lee Jones, Rob Reiner, and Dr Phil (???)

It's safe to say I look nothing like Brad Pitt, or Johnny Depp, though. Maybe when they lose most of their hair, and put on about 70 pounds or so....

Did you happen to get the chance to try their cookie dough-filled donut? When it came out, I wanted to try it, but I didn't, mostly because I live outside of bigger cities. If you did try it and liked it, lemme know.

I dislike the idea of spam and I worry about the potential of spreading spam, so if you want to PM me about it so it isn't made public, that's up to you. I'm only curious and I almost never eat donuts. There was a bakery of my childhood, just a block or so away from the house I live now, that had incredible donuts and baked goods. It closed after the 90's. I'm 27 and I still miss it.

It was, like, a cookie dough-filled icing. I wanted to try it so badly, even if it was just one donut, you know? I normally don't eat 'em, but sometimes I miss them because it reminds me of the few positive elements of my childhood. Donuts were one of 'em.

Thank you. :D

You sound like me.... it would be easier for me to list the donuts I DON'T like.... much shorter list.

I worked at a donut shop during my junior and senior year of high school, cooking the things... I did get a little burned out on donuts for a few years. I've gotten over it.

I lean more toward fritters and cinnamon rolls, but I like nearly all of them. Pumpkin spice, and a hot cup of coffee in the fall..... mmmmmmmmmmm.

:) Memories. One of my best childhood memories was when I was very little. In the wintertime, I'd wake up to the smell of hot coffee and cinnamon rolls, fresh out of the oven. After they cooled, my mother put icing on them, and then I had a couple. It's one of those moments that stay with me forever. ... That, and the smell of simmering spaghetti sauce on a cold day. Late fall/early winter. The cool seasons with a house full of love and good food made me feel like everything was OK in the world. Miss those moments with all my heart. It's also why I have the habit of eating foods that tend to make me a bit sick. This world isn't the same anymore, and my heart is trying to rekindle that feeling of safety and comfort. It's gone. :(

... Sorry for turning this thread into a melancholy one ...

melancholy is ok sometimes.... aromas do that to me, too. But music does it more. Songs bring back memories.. .

Oh, and I'll post this publicly, so nobody will think I'm being an old lech (as if a YOUNG lech would be ok...) but I have to say that your avatar picture is a very good pic of you. Great expression. Almost Mona Lisa-ish....
