What would you do?

I have never been able to answer this question for myself. Maybe I can garner some insight by posting it here?

Thanks for reading. :)

If it was my last day on earth....

I would not be answering other people's questions about what to do.

I'm asking this as a question to see if anyone's insights can help me come up with my own answer.

Thanks for your post.

If you suddenly find out it's the last day on earth, are you going to sort through all your list of choices at the last minute, or just draw some from a hat, or do plan on picking the best ones ahead of time and putting them into some kind of diagram?

You really should choose a methodology... you don't want things going all willy nilly at the last moment.

The reason I posted this thread was because of a daily devotional article that I read. Thought maybe it would be interesting to post in the forums. It's not unusual for people to get ideas from one another by sharing and discussing topics.

Maybe it would benefit me to ask this (or not), but ... are you commenting jokingly at all, or maybe even sarcastically? Only thought I'd ask. It's in the Miscellaneous section because it's not a very serious topic.

i was serious about, yeah, i'd be humming that tune, if i knew ((if i'll know)).

in a primarily happy, though matter-of-fact tone, too, with just a hint of melancholy

I started to feel ... surprisingly sad after rereading this post ... and after reading some of the answers ─ the general atmosphere, you know? ─ so I'm not really sure what to think at this point.

There's a girl who has cystic fibrosis who posts videos on YouTube. I watch some of her videos once in a while, and I can't help but be influenced by the fact that she has such a zest for life that I don't. The reality is, she has this zest for life because of what she has experienced in life; it taught her that life is precious because she battles to keep hers every single day. Me, I'm practically collecting dust, and I don't have the same zest or interest in my own life at all. And I figured that maybe I should start asking that question because she has had to ask herself that question her entire life. Her videos partially influenced me to make this thread, but ultimately, I was making a public post based on a daily devotional on C.B.N. That's all.

People never seem to appreciate my help.

What are you going to do with all this information without a proper methodology?

You're asking for all this information about how to spend your last day on earth, yet you don't seem to have any plan for assessing, organizing, or implementing all that information once you get it. It doesn't even sound like you have criteria for differentiating bad "last day plans" from good "last day plans." Without establishing some criteria, how will you even know the good plans when you hear them?

I'm just trying to help you prepare.

I'd get up early and drive 12 hours to see family. Spend time with them.

That or drive a similar distance to Colorado. Find a good spot in the Rockies.

"Talk to God and listen to the casual reply."

I feel like crying  I don't know....I just wish I've have said I love you enough....I have showed my love how much I care enough.... I'll share a song :)

If Tomorrow Never Comes
Ronan Keating
Sometimes late at night
I lie awake and watch her sleeping
She's lost in peaceful dreams
So I turn out the lights and lay there in the dark
And the thought crosses my mind
If I never wake up in the morning
Would she ever doubt the way I feel
About her in my heart
If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face this world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes
'Cause I've lost loved ones in my life
Who never knew how much I loved them
Now I live with the regret
That my true feelings for them never were revealed
So I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much she means to me
And avoid that circumstance
Where there's no second chance to tell her how I feel
If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face this world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes
So tell that someone that you love
Just what you're thinking of
If tomorrow never comes

Read up some other good planets to spend the rest of my life in, before I step into the rocket at midnight and leave Earth behind once and for all.

I would write an apology letter to whom it may concern. And also a worry free letter to whom it may concern. Telling them i’m off to a better place AND that ‘i didn’t die for that reason’ teehee

I would spend time with family, although it depends on how long I’ve got?

If I’ve got more than 10 minutes, I reckon I can scoff down a dozen donuts.

CandieM,

I've been poking with a bit of satire to draw attention to what your question is NOT, with the hope we might look deeper into what the question IS.

It's a great topic if we probe a little deeper.

God Bless.
