What were some of the things you were told, and what did you do after that?
welp

awhile back
shortly after i was delivered from a false gospel i knew that someone else was still stuck in

(sinless perfection)

i had a dream i moved with this person who i love like a brother

i tried to break this dream down many times ... i wrote it down the morning i woke up in detail and have seemed to understand it more and more if it is inspired and not just nonsense

it was out in the middle of nowhere in a large creepy house

this house looked lovely on the outside

but when i went inside
there were many damages....
holes in the floors and walls

some rooms worse than others

i was invited to the top floor
and i had a nice room that looked like a wooden cabin unlike the rest of the house

and me and this person kept trying to fix up this house
but we didnt have the resources so it was very shabby still

well one night i woke up and heard a noise that sounded like talking on the ground floor

finding it strange this person i lived with would be talking to himself

i went to go check

and i peeked down from the top of the stairs

i saw this man speaking with three cloaked figures that spoke in a strange... snake like way i could not understand

before i ran back to my room one of the figures looked at me....

it seemed to be a bird-woman..... which probably doesnt give this thing justice

but thats my best example

anyways my roommate shortly after this came to my room and asked me to do him a favor

he spoke of a button i needed to press for him the next day that was in the attic

i said sure

then my roommate just left....

and i was in the home alone

i decided to do as much cleaning as i could before my roommate returned

and got caught up in my own plans

before i knew it .. it was very late at night and time for bed

but then as i layed down i remembered the button

so i run up stairs to the attic looking for this button

and i see something next to a small book that must be it

but its not a button

its a switch

and it said "on" already
so why flip it?

i decided to peek in the book

and learned my roommate had made a deal with these... creatures

im not sure exactly what he was supposed to gain

but he was offering a hand
an eye
and his mouth

i freaked

and i bolted out the door to go find him ....but i was in the middle of nowhere and found no signs all the until the sun was coming up

on my way back home i noticed... someone in front of my porch

so i ran again

and before i reached them.... i noticed they were in a cloak

and in my head i heard in a snake like voice

"he didnt finish his task..... we took his heart"

and i knew he was gone...

then the bird woman revealed huge black wings and flew away so fast it was unreal and i felt the wind

but... the house was complete and clean.. but only mine

anyways

this is either nonsense

or the house represented our imperfect temples that we can not make perfect ourself

my room was set appart from the rest of the house for me having come to the truth

the women bird people were liars who push the false gospel we believed

his offer of his body parts represented his own works

and the button (switch) represented the fact i cannot do this for him even if he wanted me to... and he will fall short on his own merits even if he thinks he took care of it himself

Jesus told us the kingdom of God is within. Not up.
do you not believe what Jesus said here then?

But when these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws nigh.
Luke 21:28

as so many are concerned about the state of the world these days, complete with dreams of terrible events, the only place to turn is to the word

Jesus told us to look up when the world is in the state it is in

or do you believe that dreams, subjective and caused by different things even as you said yourself, are the answer?

take the whole counsel and not just what you may think proves something you have preference for

I would think someone so opposed to the OP and gracious discourse should probably not participate in a discussion concerning the topic of the OP using ungracious uncivil tongue.

I'll just add to this discussion the fact that dreams are a factor in the scriptures both Old and New Covenant. As many know, God spoke to his people quite often in dreams. And as such it cannot be argued he would not do so now when through the blood of Christ the sons and daughters of God are reconciled to him.

well there you go again...interpreting what I said and adding to what I plainly stated

I am not opposed to the op. I am and so should every Christian be, opposed to placing subjective criteria above what God states in His word

I ALREADY advanced that dreams are valid but you were not paying attention or you don't care to admit that the scripture also says they are not the criteria for doctrine? how many dreams have become doctrine? you do no seem to realize that most dreams were given for personal warning or instruction.

listen...if you have a dream that applies to yourself as an answer from God, that's great...but it does not create doctrine for the rest of us and frankly, I suggest that scripture has the answers we already need.

And as such it cannot be argued he would not do so now when through the blood of Christ the sons and daughters of God are reconciled to him
you are going way beyond anything I said and seeming to advance an position that has no application to the op or anything I stated

as I already stated that a dream can be from God, why try to indicate otherwise?

but I also posted this:

Joel did prophesy of a future time, before Jesus Christ’s return, when there would be heavenly signs and “your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28-31). The apostle Peter used this prophecy to help explain the special miracles that accompanied the giving of God’s Spirit on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:15-17). But it is clear from the New Testament example that Christians are to seek God’s Word from the inspired Scriptures and sound biblical teaching, not private interpretations (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Timothy 4:2-4; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

now if you prefer to depend on a dream and private interpretation, that is your business

however, scripture indicates otherwise

do you deny that scripture is our main and most objective method for knowing the will of God?

Dream are dreams. What's there to "believe"? Go and preach the Gospel to every creature.

that's part of the point that I am making

we have directives from God that do NOT include share your dream that you believe is from my Spirit and have everyone do likewise

dreams are mostly given for warnings in scripture...such as Joseph being told in a dream to flee to Egypt

On the other hand, you could become Official Prognosticator to the President.
I don't know the number of people who have said they knew 9/11 was going to happen...but it is always AFTER it happened and
I have no reason to doubt someone had that dream, but to what purpose?

how many were spared because they were forewarned?

again, and not to bore everyone, but what do you think the purpose of a dream from God actually is?

maybe that should be addressed

Exactly. At this point in history, a genuine dream from God would indicate (1) that this Christian should get off his couch and get busy for the Lord or (2) get out of his apostate church and find a genuine Bible-believing and Bible-practicing church.

just so

dreams were given with respect to some action needing to be taken by the one who had the dream(s)

another really great example is Pharoah and Joseph...those dreams demanded immediate action...not discussion about how scary it was or maybe it meant this or maybe it meant that

God is nowhere as vacuous as so many indicate by asking..well I had this dream from God but I don't know what it means

what's the point of that?

Luke 17:20-21 Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, 21nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is in your midst."

do you not believe what Jesus said here then?
I believe the question concerning doubt would be directed toward you and your comments prior concerning dreams. Somehow thinking they conflict with God's word when they do not do.
Also, maybe you are forgetting that God used Daniel to interpret king Nebuchadnezzar's dreams. And this saved Daniel's life.

Your opinion isn't gleaned from my encounter . Your attempt at correction is uncalled for when in the course of it you state of entitlements to voicing blunt and frankly.
I do know how forums work. It is why I chose to join this one. I also know how Christians are suppose to comport themselves among sisters and brothers, sons and daughters, in the church.
Thank you for your time.

There's plenty of stuff in that doesn't advance the cause of Christ and its not all evil either..

This forum (Bible Discussion) is known for its.... shall we say... "turbulent" discussions. That's why I stay out of here most of the time. Once in awhile I fool myself into thinking its not as bad as I remember, then I am quickly reminded of my error... Sorry you had to find out the hard way.

Here at CC, in the Bible Discussion Forum, which is a DEBATE FORUM... we don't sit around and wait for someone to ASK for our correction. This is a debate area. We debate here. We challenge, debate, and correct each other.

If you can be blunt, as you have been, and give your opinions which are uncalled for, as you have been...
then you should certainly expect the rest of us to do the same.

God Bless.
Max

I like the picture on your profile. Tigers are a favorite of my wife. :)

My wife happened by when I was reading this discussion yesterday. Today she prompted the sharing of this image she found some time ago when she was a forum member. Speaks volumes , don't you think?

Speech & Rudeness

1. Disagreeing with someone doesn't equate to "rude"... Jesus did that a lot.

2. Pointing out fallacies in a person's argument also doesn't equate to "rude"... Jesus did that too.

3. Culture:
Perhaps we should consider your culture, and that in France there are a lot of "hate speech" laws.
In France, if you say the wrong thing, you can be arrested... saying words which don't "conform", and which might "hurt someone's feelings" constitute an actual crime.

This might explain some things: whenever people say words which don't "conform" to your views, and which therefore "hurt your feelings"... you start accusing them of sin.
Maybe you react this way because this is what you're used to.

When people here disagree with you, you don't debate, you just start judging their character.
You become very judgemental whenever words don't agree with your views.

You don't actually debate the "ideas", and prove your case, you merely accuse them of having bad character for daring to disagree with you.

Well, here on CC, you can't have people arrested for saying words that hurt your feelings.

We have to be big boys and girls, and learn to debate our ideas.

Every person dreams. If there is no dreaming (REM)for three day a person can start to become delusional and not see things as they should .God gives dreams to heal or minds. Sometime doing things we would never do while awake..(God will slay the wicked not our job) temporally releasing the stress . David in the Psalms replied...

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.Psalm 139:17-19

there are some delusional posts now and then in the forums

so you say they are missing 3 days sleep?

maybe too much posting and not enough making zzzzzzzzzz'z

actually, our minds go over the days events when we sleep and REM, or deep sleep, is the state in which we dream, the state in which the sleeper can be observed to have REM...rapid eye movement...did you know that?

anyway, how do you explain nightmares if God is healing our minds during REM?

I kind of think you do not actually understand what you are trying to convey

everybody does in fact dream...and there is a lot more to it but people gonna believe and think what they gonna believe and think and lets not look at the actual facts

wouldn't wanna do that
