Evolution is a well established scientific theory. With theory I mean a comprehensive explanation of some aspect of nature that is supported by a vast body of evidence. If there is no God, moral relativism is really the only moral position that makes sense. Because where else would objective morality come from?

well God is real wether or not you choose to accept it.....

it's not some open debate

there is only one truth (Jesus)

opinions do not effect this

many men will forsake this knowledge that God is real (not genuine faith but knowledge)
become willingly ignorant to the truth

then be given over to their lusts and become genuinely decieved....
then call themself wise while only accepting nonsense and foolishness as truth (like the religion of the theory of evolution)

then to them the truth will be seen as foolish because their eyes have been darkened and heart has been seared

I realize that whether God is real is not a matter of opinion. But it has not been established that he is real. Nor that he is not real. So the same goes for you. IF God is not real, then God is not real wether you believe it or not.

I am aware of this. It is pretty much impossible to reply to everyone, because I'm getting so many replies, and I also have other things to do. I do try to respond as much as possible.


I find this difficult to explain well, but bear with me. Right and wrong are not directly correlated to whether it strengthens the species, or even to survival. Suppose there is a gene that makes me feel that killing is wrong (I don't think such a simplistic gene exists, but suppose it does). That gene survives and gets promoted through the generations, because the people having that gene aren't killing other people (who likely also have that gene). Because of this, eventually the population as a whole agrees that killing is wrong. There might be situations where killing is beneficial, but this does not change the feeling that it is wrong. The idea is that morality is based on that feeling, caused by that gene, not on any rational assesment of what action is beneficial. It is only indirectly based on whether something is beneficial to survival.

Suppose there is a gene that makes a person feel that it is right to kill.

From an evolutionary standpoint, most of the time that humans have existed they have lived in small hunter-gatherer communities.

A gene that encourages you to kill will be handy when a rival Hunting Party moves into your area. if you can successfully defend your hunting area, your community will have more food, the genes present in you and the community will be multiplied.

Suppose further that you realize that it's actually easier to follow another community's Hunting Party around and drive them away from any kill that They make. then just take that dead animal home to your community.

from an evolutionary viewpoint, the above would help to explain the large amount of violence in the world.

So a war for oil can easily be seen as simply taking a dead animal from another Hunting Party.

the difference with our modern world is that our communities are much larger. so some people say that the entire world is really just one community, and others see the world as full of lots of communities.

I realize that whether God is real is not a matter of opinion. But it has not been established that he is real. Nor that he is not real. So the same goes for you. IF God is not real, then God is not real wether you believe it or not.

Of course not. A person could have faith in the wrong thing. This is why Jesus says to taste and see that the Lord is good. And the Bible says try the spirits, test them to see if what you have faith in is true.

I could have faith that a bridge would hold me, but it may collapse the minute I walk over it. Test it, and then have faith in it. God never asked us to have blind faith.
